Off Topic

Judging by Twitter trends, I'm pretty sure One Direction rules the world and their fans have a lot of time on their hands.

    2. Heeey Kristin. Eh, marginally. I got more than 2 hours of sleep last night, so that's a plus. Scored some "special" cough syrup from the doc. I may need to get some Faygo and a bag of jolly ranchers and see what's all the hubbub over this Purple Drank.

I think I felt my IQ dropping 15 points just typing that.

  2. When you're 13 you have all the time in the world to devote to your celeb crushes. Ahh, I remember those days when all I had to worry about was whether I loved Spandau Ballet or Duran Duran more.

  5. I worked for a Marketing company that hired another company that would hire people to open twitter accounts, go on MB's, etc for certain celebs & gush about them, etc, these people would often be from eastern europian & asain countries & being online all day doing this was their job.

  7. I may or may not have known someone who purchased 50k followers for another person's Twitter acct in an attempt to have it shut down. Worked for about a month, until the Twitter appeals process played out.

    1. Count - why would purchasing followers get someone's account closed? I am a twitter novice.

  8. That's only because everyone over 13 spends all day here instead. We get to use big words!!

  9. The One Directioners are almost as bad as the Vampire Diaries "Delena-philes."

  10. I'm sort of ashamed to think that I'd probably have been one of those teens writing elaborate fanfiction full of smut without actually having any clue what I was talking about. (Please note I do not currently write fanfics and do not have a tumblr account)

  11. @Violet: Twitter doesn't like the purchased followers thing. I believe it is a TOS violation. I guess they don't like the idea of people purchasing status. Also hurts the value of the brand when you are touting "700million users" and the next thing you hear is a guy saying, "Yeah, but half are fake or spam".

I think you can also purchase Friends and Likes on FB.

200k followers for a grand on this site.

  16. I know OF them, never heard one song by them. Back in the day, I had a HUGE crush on Bryan Adams. Don't know why - maybe the bad skin, smoky voice... still love his 80's stuff, so sue me :)
