More Perfect Scores on Dancing With The Stars

Last night was the first night of the finals for this season on Dancing With The Stars. There were perfect scores achieved by Meryl Davis and Maksim and also by Derek Hough and Amy Purdy. Despite the dire warnings about his shoulder and how Mark Ballas might not be able to dance, he didn't seem to be suffering, at least while dancing. He danced twice with Candace Cameron Bure and their scores were about the same as they always are. Good, but not amazing. At the end of the night it was James Maslow who got eliminated. All season I thought he had a great chance to make it to the finals and the real-life couple seemed to have the chemistry but I don't think enough people who actually vote on the show know who he is and he was voted off. I think the fact that Peta is still fairly new to the show also played a part because voters still don't know who she really is either.

    Aww, I didn't realise that the guy from America's Funniest Home Videos was the host! I lurve him!

    Surely there will be a Drag Race post? Season Finale last night!

    Candace should have gone weeks ago. Yeah, James didn't have the fan base. I want Meryl and Maks to win so bad!

      @Reno IKR? The judges scored her low last night so that James would make it to the final; didn't work. And ditto on Meryl and Maks!

      (And I thought Cameron did waaay better this week than she did last week but she got lower scores this week. Hence what VPBlonde says!). Us Blondes are on same page. (-:
      And, they're all sooo good this season. Charlie should not have gone when he did but then someone has to go until it's left to Meryl n Max.

      I thought they scored Candace fairly. She's really improved but James, Meryl and Amy are better dancers. There's no way Candace was not going to make it to the finals. It was obvious from Day 1 the producers were whipping up the Christian fan base. I can't tell you how many posts on other boards I've seen where Christians were urged to vote for her in order to show their support for Jesus.

    That means we get another post of this tomorrow. Enty--to be fair--most people posting here in the morning aren't American or watching this show if they are. I think none of us know who these people are therefore when "Strictly Come Dancing" starts up you should report on that show too because we all read the Daily Mail. So we are familiar with the TOWIEs, Yacht/Page3 girls and washed up entertainers who appear on that show.

      @ cubs, the talk is that she is Stuck with James when in reality( smirk) she wanted Cody to get a younger demographic. She would sleep with him if she thought it would improve their chances but ..Would He?

    My roomie had on the show when Maks and the ice skater danced. Truly it was lovely and she's obviously studied dance. Didn't see their score but I think Carrie and Tony were actually crying over the beauty of the performance.

    James creeps me out.
    Candace should have been voted out way before Winnie Cooper.
    I hate to root against Amy because I truly think she's amazing but I think it's Maks's turn to win this thing.

    I love how they had Candace/Mark on right after Maks and Meryl. It made Candace look as bad as she could have. I'm not a fan. Her kids were in the audience and they showed them being super upset when mom got the 8's. Ha Ha.

    I wish Charlie would have made the finale. I think he was happy to be voted off though, he has other things to do. He always seems happy though, so who knows.

    I fast forwarded through Derek's two dances.

    Fingers crossed that Maks wins tonight.

    I hate the cut a ways where the dancers/guest stars complain how hurt they are, etc.I doubt any of it is true, just for sympathy. Mark Balus has got to go. Having ice skaters is not fair to the other "dancers". They certainly have an advantage over the others. I know this sounds mean....but, Meryl has a weird look about her...almost alien.

    Saw something on TMZ about a big uproar over James Maslow and Peta being eliminated as it seems fans think their votes were not counted. They have screen caps of where it says they actually were sent to Maksim instead! Also as Candace Cameron Bure received the lowest score from the judges it almost feels as if it is rigged.

    Enty, don't agree on Peta, fans know her, she won the MBT her second season on the show, her partner was Donald Driver, maybe the men know who he is but i bet many women voters did not. And i doubt the football crowd are active voters.
