Miley Cyrus Says She Is The Poster Child For Good Health

Apparently Miley Cyrus is someone we should all want to emulate when it comes to our health and fitness. The singer, who returned to the stage last night in London after a three week tour interruption said in a press conference that she didn't overdose. She reiterated she was in the hospital because she had an allergic reaction to flu drugs prescribed to her by a doctor. She then went on to say, "I'm the poster child for good health." Umm, yeah. She even went on to say that she takes her health so seriously that she won't drink or smoke before going on stage. I'm not sure what her cut off point is but there have been photos of her smoking and drinking a few hours before going on stage. Maybe she means, like right as she is walking to the stage she won't smoke or drink. Notice she doesn't say anything about after the show because that is when she indulges in pot smoking, boozing and Molly popping. I think I just read an article in the Journal Of American medicine that the proper way to stay healthy is to partake in all of those activities.

  1. Slightly off topic but there's currently uproar in the UK after last night's London concert where Miley mothetf***ed and oral sexed her way in front of impressionable 10 year olds. Parents probably thought they were going to see sweet Hannah Montana.

    1. When I say uproar I mean the Daily Mail said so.

    2. Lol Violet - that's a significant clarification ;)

  2. She is so disgusting, she just may as well change her last name to Kardashian.

BTY - What are flu drugs?

  4. Actually, she said she's usually always been the poster child for good health, and that no one could be inebriated and do the high energy show that she does. She said she had learned a lot about taking care of her health while sick, was using honey, jasmine tea, etc., along with her prescribed meds, and that she thought she was probably the only one in her crew that didn't smoke or drink before the start of a show. Typical press, twist someone's words, and make something what it's not. She never said she wouldn't be smoking or drinking at all, the entire tour leg overseas. As for the suspicion over the anaphylaxis from the antibiotics, it genuinely happened, regardless of what Star magazine and their "unnamed sources" say. I have great Intel on this.

  5. People who take their young children to see Miley are fucking stupid. We all know who she is now and that is not Hannah Montana.

I like Miley. I don't always like everything she does but she's talented and interesting to hear about.

People give her far too much shit just because she doesn't want to be who everyone expects her to be.

  6. If a parent is too lazy or uninvolved to be bothered to find out the content of a concert, tv show, album, movie, etc., and takes their TEN yr old to a concert that has a huge PARENTAL ADVISORY sticky on the tickets, plus on the tour info when you purchase, then they are fucking idiots. It all goes back to that bullshit where the last 10-15 yrs or so, parents have bought this idea that celebs are supposed to be "role models."

    1. I agree. Parents are the assholes in this situation.

    2. Well said! There is no way anyone would think the we're seeing anything remotely tame. Miley has done a very good job of being front and center in her full persona in the media for a long time now.

  7. Singers who smoke are idiots! You can NOT believe anything they say because they are just trying to sell as many song downloads as they can before they loose their voices!

  8. It's ok. The UK has moved on from Miley fairly sharpish to Katie Price's stripper husband cheating on her with her best friend. I tell you, the USA has nothing on UK celeb gossip.

    1. @Violet - Katie Price got married AGAIN!? Last I heard of her, she had broken up with that gorgeous hunk of man meat, Leandro.

  9. I don't like everything she does, or what most any 21 yr old does, but I have worked with her, am friendly with folks she works with and has worked with, for 6-7 yrs, know members of her family, and it annoys the fuck out of me the shit she gets, but all the others her age range get a free pass, for the most part, and excuses made for them, just because they put on phony fronts and gullible parents buy into the crap Kneepads and the rest feed them.

  10. Katie Price's hubby is cheating w her best friend? Didn't they just get married like 6-8 mos ago? Harvey is the only decent thing that twat has ever done right.

  11. Very humorous posting, Enty! And very sad at the same time. Miley chooses to behave disgustingly and is in the position of having influence on kids. She's an exhibitionist and a narcissist. As is Rihanna, and Beyoncé, and Madonna who - if her Instagram post was serious - wanted to attend the Met Gala topless and basically nude. It all is just so sad.

  12. For some reason the vast majority of singers smoke. You'd think that they wouldn't, like actors and actors that pay hundreds of thousands for plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures yet smoke, drink, do drugs, bake in the sun, etc. No one said people were good decision makers. Look at poor Whitney.

  13. @EastCoaster It is not her, or ANY celebs responsibility to adapt their music, lifestyle, or any other part of their lives in order to be a role model or positive influence upon kids. She does not perform targeting children, her material is clearly labeled as ADULT CONTENT. Kids like Beyonce, Kanye, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, etc., and they also do not owe anyone's children any obligation to provide content for children. That's what parents are supposed to determine and require their kids to obey at their wishes. I went to concerts, movies, etc., that were adult content, chaperoned by older siblings until it was determined I could handle it correctly. No problem.

  14. I'm with di on this one. Whenwill the faux outrage and shock end? How long has this tour been going on? Spoiler alert tomorrows show isn't going to be her dressed in a habit gracefully lounging on a love seat.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sorry di butler but a person should not pontificate about how well they take care of themselves if the extent of your goodness is not smoking or drinking right before going on stage. If you value your voice at all you shouldn't be smoking at all unless you want to sound like Rod Stewart and it worked for him.

On the other hand I have no sympathy for parents who did not bother to keep up with their children's idol - pretty clear Miley crossed the line over from Disney a long time ago. Did none of these people see the whole thing about the twerking.

The other thing di, Miley courts the attention and controversy - she seems to thrive on it. The problem that celebrities have is once they invite the public and paps in, it is then hard to get your privacy back so if you are getting good advice, and you'd think her father would be able to give good advice, you think long and hard before you use antics to get attention because it will end up defining you and you will lose even more privacy than you already had by having a famous dad and then going into show biz yourself.

    1. Oh, 100% agree she courts controversy and has to be the biggest media troller out there. She has a definitive plan, as she has all along, and it has been working like gangbusters for her, meaning obviously she is working the system. Trust me when I say no one is pulling her strings and she is savvier about show biz than many decades older, Billy and Tish both give advice, being 21 she takes some of it, My point was, even the simplest of benign statements she makes get twisted into BS to fulfill the dumb media narratives. Kinda like the Angie/Jen soap opera. Just say what they said, don't try to make it into some damn novel! I don't disagree that her idea of taking care of her health and mine & yours are probably vastly different, but I also don't think it's ok for tabloids to make up out of whole cloth drug overdoses/major drug addictions, carry on that story, and add more awful to it (unwanted pregnancy!), (suicidal depression!), blah, blah, regardless of whether she trolls the world by making outrageous comments. But, that's just me letting off steam, and thinking about the brief time I tried to work in that world and how frustrating I found it. Cyrus can ignore, bitch, sue, etc., whatever she wants, or doesn't.

  16. Molly pop, molly pop, oh molly molly molly pop, ba doom boom boom! (I have watched Stand By Me too many times...)

Man, if you haven't seen Miley twerking against Robin Thicke and/or giant bears, riding a wrecking ball nearly nude, posting photos of her boobs, smoking pot, wearing next to nothing, singing about Molly - maybe you should rethink your parenting skills before bringing a 10 year old to her concert.

  17. Doesn't smoke or drink before going on stage? Whore has been in national news for smoking a joint on stage. She's dumb and in a year will be about as relevant as gaga has become. .

  18. I like Miley. I think every stunt is carefully planned and she's very much in control of her career and antics. I question parents who allow their kids to attend a concert. Hannah Montana is looooong gone.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't remember parents requiring Guns N Roses, The Sex Pistols, The Plasmatics, Black Sabbath, NIN, Circle Jerks, Deftones, Pantera, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Slayer, Ratt, Iron Maiden, Black Flag, Iggy & The Stooges, and these are just off the top of my head. I've seen blow jobs and heroin shot up onstage, Sid Vicious carving into his chest with a broken beer bottle, projectile vomiting, people jacking off, and all manner of kicking, punching, head slamming, and this doesn't include any Lolapalooza or Woodstock 99's. I wasn't alone at any of these places, so are parents hypocrites or do they suffer mass amnesia?

    ReplyDelete
  20. What cave were those parents in before they went to see Twerknado thinking it was Hannah Montana?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Different world, @di, different world. Parents back then were a perhaps little more lenient maybe because they were products of the '60s? Nowadays, it seems to veer from helicopter parents to IDGAF parents.

I dunno, but if I had a 10 year old daughter, the fires of hell would freeze over while Courtney Stodden took her nunnery vows before I'd take her to a Miley concert. I like to think I'd like her to be a kid for just a few more years (and I know, I know, they're exposed to a lot, but the at least I'd be able to control the things I could, right)?

  22. Back when I was a small person, a long time ago, we weren't really into music though. As a teen yes, but not as a small child Music is now aimed at that age group. Nobody's telling me that Miley doesn't know that there will be (very) small people in her audience. More fool those parents for not being aware, but Miley is well aware that her fan base is extremely tween (and younger) based.

  23. Full stop required after 'small child' and before 'Music'.

  25. I agree with Di too. She's put a disclaimer on the ticket. It doesn't say the "Hannah Montana" concert.
She wants to grow up and move on from her Disney days and she does have talent. Is she doing it to intentionally shock? Lots of performers do.

And there was music aimed at us as teens in the 60's and 70's. Now the Plasmatics, Iggy Pop and all the others Di mentioned weren't it but they were there.

I do agree also that if she takes herself seriously as a singer she should NOT be smoking. If she has proper vocal training she can keep going into her 50-60's.

  27. Didn't Marilyn Manson throw piss and shit over his audiences? I'm not sure if that was just a rumor or not, but you can be certain there were plenty of 18 year olds in attendance at his concerts. Not that excuses Miley for anything. Miley should adjust her concerts to the age group attending. If she's performing for 10 year olds, she should hold an appropriate concert for those 10 year olds. If she's performing for older members then she should be able to go as nutso as she wants.

Reminds me of around 6-7 years ago when my mother wouldn't let my then 12 year old brother go to a Black Eyed Peas concert because Pussycat Dolls was the group's opening act. She thought the PC Dolls were too skanky for him. She was right.

  28. When my daughter was young, I would use these unexpected "UH OH" moments that Big Media loves to provide us parents with as an opportunity for talking. You CAN talk to 10 year olds about sex, just keep your details down to "need to know." Never hesitate to tell your child that these stars crave attention and this is how they try to get it. And never forget to ask what your child thinks when you finish lecturing.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I also agree with @di

  30. With the way her body looks, whatever she's doing, sign me up! And I cosign that the parents who expect a wholesome show are idiots.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Like it or not, Miley will always be Hannah Montana to many, many people.

I'm 100% sure this sort of backlash would have happened to Annette Funicello if she started simulating sex on stage when she reached 21.

Miley is a child TV star who is trying to make a career as an adult pop singer--not a punk band consisting of adult males. She is largely relying on shock value to accomplish her goals, even though I don't think she actually needs to. The girl does have talent, however it may get obscured behind the scandals. Time will tell if she's made the right choice or not.

  32. Really interesting discussion here. In my earlier post I was really just bemoaning the state of vulgarity that's so prevalent and accepted nowadays. I definitely agree that performers have no obligation to be role models, and they never have.

  33. How much is Billy Ray paying you di? Is it a per post or per word rate? Fact is no person who wants to be in the best health should smoke, take molly, drink alcohol or smoke pot.

And as far as other young people not getting as much shit as Miley? She LOVES it. It keeps her name in the press, gets her the publicity her talent would never have.

  34. Miley should worry about her pussy grooming and health. I figured her for a full wax girl, but here she is w/ pussy hairs peeking out of her outfit last night.

  35. I wish a bitch would pay me!!! I just am being honest about her, and some of the other young ppl I worked w/however briefly, and my experiences. I'm also a mother of two, age 25 & 23, so I'm very sympathetic on that front, as well as a grandma of seven. There's NO FUCKING WAY my grandkids would be going to adult themed concerts at ten. Which was my original point of posting. Quit being lazy parents (not ya'll, lol) expecting Disney or Nic or ABC Family or music or movie ratings systems raise your kids and determine the content they absorb. Someone made a great point above, when we were kids, it was understood concerts that weren't specifically labeled children's concerts, were for older teens/adults. I also agree that it probably is due to the combo of the over protected helicopter parents on one side, the don't give a single fucks on the other. Good points for me to consider! Thanks a lot for the fun discussion, guys!

  36. Miley is going to do want Miley wants to do, regardless of what spin the media puts on it (calling her a drug addict, overdosing, eating disorders, etc.) Her shows are marketed at an older audience and there has been more than enough coverage of what goes on in her shows, that parents should be aware of what is and isn't suitable for their child. It's not her responsibility to change her show and her vision, to suit the morons who were too stupid to know what they were in for. In my opinion, any parent who thinks it's ok to take a 10 year old along to a concert, be it Miley, Rihanna, Ke$ha, Britney, etc, is a fucking idiot. The kids like the music, that's fine, but do a little research into the content of a show and you will find stuff that plenty of parents wouldn't want their 18 year old to see.

The other thing that gets me is that those concert tickets are not cheap! Who is willing to spend $200 on a concert for a 10 year old, especially without knowing who or what they are going to see? More often than not, the headlining acts don't even come on the stage until after 10pm. Who has their little ones out that late? I guess I'm a hard ass, but that's something I would never indulge at that age.

I'm not exactly a big fan of Miley's, but if she wants to act batshit crazy and ride around on a flying hotdog, then go for it. She'll be over it in 5 years anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Lux: It is unbelievably short sighted to think Miley will be over in 5yrs. She has atleast that long as an over sexualized tart. From there, she can stay pop and inherit the gays from Cher and Madonna, when they kick, or she can have a HUGE return to country music, whenever she wants. She has an easy 15-20yrs left making big money.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Oh god no, Count! I didn't say she would OVER in 5 years. I said she would be over IT in 5 years. It, being her weed smoking, Molly popping, over sexualised antics. She has easily got a lengthy career ahead of her. I was just saying that there's no reason for people to create such an uproar about her shows and whatnot. She's doing to do what she wants to, regardless of what anyone says, and she'll come back down to earth soon enough and move onto the next reinvention of Miley. She knows what she's doing and I agree, she's easily got another couple of decades in her, if she plays her cards right. I'm not a big fan, but I respect her game.
