  3. More than one dude to judge ? We all win!

    Being on the swinging buttcakes!!

  4. Most of those seem to be the result of poorly set up poles. Couple of the dudes had nice bodies. You aren't missing much, carry on.

  5. Lots of mostly hot mostly undressed dudes fall off stripper poles or varying sizes, colours and stability. Maaaad props to dude in the lime-green zebra-striped undies, I had to watch it twice before I noticed he fell.

Synopsis: strippinhg is harder than it looks, y'all

  6. Moderately funny. #dudepolefail

  7. I like the "blatt" noise their balls make when they slap the pole.

  9. I don't understand why Enty posts these. I don't understand what one has to do to have one's video posted here. It's all a mystery to me.

    1. Sprink I think 2-230 EST is Enty's "me time" and the daily video is to keep us preoccupied while he poops.

Maybe we can test this? Who wants to send Enty a video?

    2. Some people are regular like clock work. This hypothesis fascinates me. When I take a dump, I read Vogue

    3. I think it's so we can talk about Book Club, Sprink! Get your suggestions in, post going up tomorrow for voting! Woot!

    4. If you guys don't think enty sometimes posts from his laptop while he is grunting one out you are very naive. That is why we have laptops.

    5. No, silly texas, that's why we have phones!

  10. Are they randomly selected from Enty's recent youtube searches? There is no discernible pattern.

  12. @Sprink, it's become the OT of OT, where we make jokes, talk about book clubs, and link to better videos.

Like Heidi Klum and her fabulous accent introducing Patrick Swayze and Lisa Niemi dancing to Whitney Houston.

    3. We all know your props are tennis rackets when you dance. Are you integrating some pole work in your routine?

  14. @Seven, I've always felt sorry for Lisa Niemi because NOBODY would have ever heard of her if she hadn't been married to Patrick Swayze, but she was clearly an accomplished artist in her own right. For whatever reason, that talent didn't propel her to superstar status like it did for him (and yes, I'd call him a superstar).

It's like when people go off on Damian Lewis' (Lewis's?) wife or James McAvoy's...these are women who are highly respected as professionals, yet most gossip bien pensant write them off.

For all the doubters, watch this video; Niemi should have you after that first leg fan. Ffs.

    1. @Sprink, I think she's a star in her world (dance world).

Couldn't agree more. It's obvious that she choreographed the entire dance. She goes en pointe several times, while he only goes once - a true professional working with someone not classically trained. I love the loop sequence, that was just so perfect.

    2. @Seven, we are on the same page re Niemi.

    1. Ps to @Derek--I came to CDAN for the film talk as well. Sadly I got a bucketload of infidelity, addiction, and mental illness instead.

Sometimes, with knowledge of heroes, less is more.

Anyway, I'll happily dissect any film, any time, with any one.

  21. @TTM, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbery.

OR...Salinger's classic, The Catcher in the Rye. Sure, we all read it in high school, but I've never had an opportunity to re-visit the book and then discuss it with other adults. I'm currently reading The Shock of the Fall, which definitely has a "Catcher" feel to it. So maybe that one.

Anyway, I'm delighted with whichever book we read. I just wish I could participate more fully (e.g., not post midnight my time, not on a phone, not from my bed). It truly limits my powers of humour and criticism. Ahem.

    1. I will add to the list,Sprink! I loved The Catcher In The Rye,of course. I'm going to hope we catch you for at least a little bit, you wit and sarcasm and actual book knowledge are the backbone of the group.

We actually lost a member last night / this morning, Pip Squeak, so we need all voices on deck!

    2. I love this book and thought the exact same thing about it; reminds me of Catcher in the Rye!

No cheap shots at you in this post or in the book group post over at @TTM's? Because, if it makes you happy, I am thoroughly capable of taking a cheap shot...

  37. @TTM, what do you mean we "lost a member"? Did Pip Squeak DIE? :(

I quite liked Pip's contributions to book club. I get that some of us take the books and conversation more seriously than others (I'm looking at you, Sprink), but I also think most recognise there will be a certain amount of, erm, frivolity...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, I sure hope she didn't die, Sprink! What a thing! And no, I thought Pip Squeak was a great member, always very knowledgeable and opinionated about whatever we were reading, great stuff.

She took offense to another person's suggestion and then seemed to go after the person,so I asked her to chill the eff oot and she decided to bounce instead. I imagine it happens.

  38. Also, @TTM, "you(r) wit and sarcasm and actual book knowledge are the backbone of the group"...is an actual entry in OED under Phrases: B; Blowing; Blowing Smoke Up One's Ass... :-D

Only briefly, though. And really, one should just assume that anyone can and will read this stuff.

@Derek, happy future birthday. I had you at early-mid 20s. Certainly under 30. Good times, actually. Question: when you say "fuck you" to posters, do you mean it or is it an endearing, comical "fuck you"?

  48. TTM how does one get flouncy over a book title? Did someone object to the racist and classist overtones in Enid Blyton's Famous Five?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I adore Enid Blyton, Violet! And no, I think she was concerned that a previous suggestion (The Princess Bride) wasn't up to snuff (totally is) and she unfortunately took it very personally. It was kind of unfortunate in that the suggestion was one made by a brand new poster, TongueNCheek, so hopefully it doesn't cause anyone to feel uncomfortable suggesting anything. Because the MORE options, the better, y'all

  49. Sprink..Perhaps your county had more funding and Mecklenberg County was too fundamental. I swear it was not on the mandatory reading list. But I have been thinking about it.

Wow..Derek sweetie....I think all the people here who you normally banter with are not the asshole that sent you those emails. Maybe they aren't even related at all?

Anyway, hope your date is fun. Report back and let us know if you chose to do the stripper pole or if he wasn't worth the trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I didn't even watch this. If people just spoke out loud what they were thinking in regards to sex, the entire fiasco of pole dancing could immediately be done away with.
