Four For Friday - Strange Hookups
Happy May everyone. Not much to say today other than don't forget that next weekend is Mother's Day and you should start planning your excuses now about why you forgot to mail a card. These are some of my favorite blinds because, not only do I give you half of the puzzle, it also can bring a mental image to my mind that can provide a lot of laughs. Or groans.
#1 - Tawny Kitean and this former A+ list mostly television actor who has not translated his television success to movies or really any other network shows but has a great little side project going on right now.
#2- Gwyneth Paltrow and the same guy from #1
#3- Courteney Cox and this former A list musician because of a band he was in. Not Adam Duritz. Not Bruce Springsteen.
#4- Susan Sarandon and this Academy Award winner/nominee hooked up when they were co-stars.
#5 - Chris Noth and this former A list mostly movie actress who still has A list name recognition and has a great imagined hometown line.

She was married to Chris at the time and she's said in interviews that she was still pretty sheltered and monogamous and all that jazz while she was married to him. They didn't divorce until 1979 and RHPS was in '75 (or filmed in '74, right?).

ReplyDeleteGuess for Sarandon - Ralph Fiennes when they were working on a Bernard and Doris. They looked like they had been hooking up BIG TIME during at the 2009 GGs. Ralph was up for two awards that night, and could have sat at either table. He sat right next to her, hugging and holding on to her all night. He COULD be part of the reason she and Tim Robbins divorced.

#4 is Sarandon and Costner. When you listen to the Bull Durham DVD commentary with Costner and Robbins, when the sex scene comes on, Kevin starts talking about the lighting of the scene and refers to her nakedness, but then backpedals and waxes romantic about how Tim "married" her--or some such effect. I just remember that I thought it was a really awkward commentary, and from it I got the impression she messed around with both of them during filming.
