  1. I had no idea that Eileen and Arianne were still on Days. I haven't watched in about 15 years. Huh.

    1. I don't remember when the last time I watched was, but I find it a little sad that I recognized most of those soap opera actors.

  2. Eileen just came back. As always, she is amazing and hilarious.

  3. Eileen is currently off her character disappeared. Occasionally she pops up in Y&R as Ashley who lives in London now.
Nicole never left except now shes almost a good girl.
I didn't know the still did Daytime Jemmy's because there really are no shows worthy to honor.

  4. Those 'drama' shows - otherwise known as soaps yes? The Coronation Streets and Eastenders of the US but not quite so gritty? Is that where the hot young stars of tomorrow get their starts?

  5. Emmys spelchek dont know what a jemmy is:(

  6. Yes Violet. Except there are only 4 left on Tv here now.

  7. Violet, yes on all three counts.

  8. When the hell did OLTL go off the air? I thought that was years ago. By here are only four soaps left now.

  9. Is she still causing trouble for Marlena and John?
I always liked the character of Nicole even when she was bad.

  10. Yay for Arianne Zucker! She is really talented. Even better than Eileen Davidson, but one of them better win for sure. Jen Lilley (Theresa) was robbed, along with the dynamic dastardly duo of Theresa/Anne.

  11. Eileen Davidson is back on Days this summer for another limited run. Probably going to come back pregnant.

Renoblondee, she was the cause of their split last year, and they are still apart. John's barely on the show these days.

  12. How in Tom's hell could she be pregnant? She's older than me and I'm 41! Isn't she like 50?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Um, have you ever watched Days? LOL! That would be one of their more plausible storylines. She thought she might be pregnant last year but it turned out to be a false alarm.

  14. Your'e right! LOL. It's been too long, I shoulda remembered that. Wasn't Marlena prego at a ridiculous age too way back?

  15. There's a game show called The American Bible Challenge?!

  16. One Life and All My Kids did go off the air but had a brief run online last year.

  17. Yeah, I think Marlena had Belle in her 50s.

  18. Gosh if OLTL was good enough to pick up a few noms, then perhaps I'll scoot over to Hulu and watch the rest of the episodes. I only made it to #17 (and #11 for AMC). I miss those shows, but never really got into the online versions, just wasn't the same.

  19. TMZ???? Really?????

  20. Glad to see Billy Miller nominated in spite of all of the crap that went on at Y&R.

  21. Heather Tom the best in Daytime.

  22. When E News and TMZ get nominated for anything, it's time to end the category

  24. Sad that James Scott gets overlooked. He's my boyfriend. Even my husband knows.

  25. Katherine Kelly Lang! So excited for her! Too bad Melody Thomas Scott was overlooked once again!

  26. I admit, I've been watching soaps, mainly the ABC ones, since the late '70s, when I was a teenager. My Granny got me hooked on GH, God Bless her crazy (in a good way!) soul. So I say this, I promise you, with NO prejudice, that the fact that GH was NOT nominated MORE, or even nominated for Best Daytime Drama, just shows how crooked and wrong the lame-ass Daytime Emmys ARE. GH had their best year, in YEARS! No wonder the Daytime Emmys get NO respect, they shouldn't. (Not to mention, the lamest ceremony, hosted by HLN last year, it was SO BAD. The "room" they televised from was worse than the restaurant that hosted my high school Senior Ball, AND all of the reunions since!) So, clearly, there is no reason to watch, if it's even televised this year. If this is any indication of how janky the other awards shows are, with all the preferential treatment and ignoring the real talents, then they should all just stop now. There is NO real fairness or basis in reality as far as who and what shows are nominated.I guess the "judges" must be paid-off or have personal "favorites" that are NOT based in the reality of where and what the real "Best of" truly ARE. My eyes are wide open now! No show was as good last year as GH WAS, and still IS. Y&R & B&B are snore-fests, DOOL is ridiculously stupid, it's dumbed-down for the masses. GH continues to be great, daily. Which is why they get the best actors. Michelle Stafford, anyone? Yep, on GH now. What does that tell you, Y&R fans?

  27. I just tried to watch GH for a few weeks because Thaao Penghlis joined, and I thought it was boring as hell. Different strokes for different folks. And Days has always been horribly overlooked for the Emmys. Just because many of the story lines are absurd doesn't mean there aren't some great performances.
