Blind Items Revealed

August 24, 2012

What former almost A- list movie actress who is now still all movies all the time but has pretty much been reduced to indies. Ahh, she used to be a popcorn queen. The drinking cost her a lot of jobs. That and the complaining about wanting to do something more than popcorn movies. Anyway, our actress was at events twice in the past week and busted with booze in hand and stopped the photographers mid-stream and found someone who was drinking something that did not look booze and then allowed the photographers to take the photos. She said, "I will lose my next job if anyone sees me drinking. I just can't stop. I love it."

Kirsten Dunst

I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs. I crashed my car into the bridge.

      I don't care, I love it.

      Yes. I blame Icona Pop.

      I don't care. I love it.

  2. The sentiments ring true, I just can't imagine any human being actually saying that sentence. It sounds.. retarded. And Kirsten Dunst, love her or hate her Tara Reid style, is not retarded.

    Pardon my French.

Though I have been wrong before! Just not feeling this one

I can imagine her saying it in a wispy Lux Lisbon voice and then impishly smiling.

  6. "reduced to indies"? Many actresses would kill for the roles Dunst has had. Not everyone wants to be in teeny bopper action movies. She has been there and done that very successfully. Hopefully she is getting her drink on in moderation and is not a bitchy drunk. Google an image of her without make-up---she still looks like a teen almost----not a washed-up drunk.

  7. Best thing she has done in years is the Turning Japanese video. She should have shown her tits in that, so people would have seen em. It would take butthole to make me watch that Melancolia pile o' dookie.

  8. I like her a lot more now that she isn't a popcorn queen. Hey, if you aren't hurting anyone and being emotionally as well as physically destructive, drink away.

  9. I don't get "reduced to indies". A lot of people who have "made it" turn to indies because they don't want roles in crap like Transformers, and because they can. Charlize Theron, for example, was amazing in Young Adult.

  10. But indies don't pay the bills. You need a popcorn or 2 to fall back on for the lifestyle

    1. I have said before I don't think charlize has as much money as most people might think. Mostly indies means not a lot of money and she spends a lot.

  11. Full disclosure first: I have always like Kirsten Dunst. Anyway, I have asked this question here, and on other sites, yet no one has ever answered me, so I will try again.

I get it that the gossip bloggers and others have a hate on for her, but what I want to know is WHY? What exactly has she done to garner such dislike? Is she a bitch to her staff, or the crews on her movies? She drinks, I know that, so is she a nasty drunk? She obviously doesn't do a Blohan because she has never been arrested, or for that matter even photographed looking wasted, so it can't be because of continual public displays of drunkeness. So what gives with all the hate for her? Has she killed someone or tried to ruin someone's career? So again, what has she done wrong?

I like her, have done since interview with a vampire and jumanji, through virgin suicides and spiderman til now. So I can't answer you as I don't get the hate at all

    4. My hubs worked on a film with her and Ryan gosling that never got released. He said she is a sweetheart, but she's not allowed to drink while filming. He learned this the hard way after she asked him to buy her a bottle of vodka. He was afraid he'd get fired, but he didn't. After filming ended, she
Bought the whole cast and crew
Lunch and had cute hats made up with her initials in a heart on the back. She signed tons of autographs and sent my kids l

  13. I am thinking Kirsten has more than enough money to wait until the roles she is interested roll around.

  14. @Basil---there was another Enty type writer named Ted C who had some blinds about a young actress that was a heroin junky. It was either her or Brit Murphy---and we all know how that ended. Also Perez use to hate on her really bad calling her ugly and a drunk etc. This is when people actually read Perez. It was like she was his number target for ridicule. Years ago she quietly checked herself into rehab after acting messy at a film festival and has been working steadily since.

  15. I don't get (or have heard honestly) any Dunst hate. She seems pretty benign to me. And Melancholia was a weird movie.

  16. @Basil. I like her and think she is a natural-born acting talent. Most real talents don't get the unanimous hype and grooming of a say, Dakota Fanning. But rather they deliver acting performances so smooth and seemingly easy that they only get noticed and praised by the other gifted pros in their field. Luckily, that means they will always get work so long as they want it. But with Kirsten, my firsthand experience has been that a good chunk of people can't get past her blonde, priveleged, Stepford-fake public persona that began after Interview with the Vampire. She has never had the charisma of a hack who simply desires fame. She's a talented actress and not a natural-born-star. Brings to mind others like Claire Danes. And when you take that weakness and then mix it with a very notorious coke and booze spree, you get alot of gossip-mongers eager to share the ample material she has provided and without the sympathetic spin given to Drew Barrymore or currently, Zac Efron. It's the same deal with Lindsay Lohan, however, I agree with the Lindsay-haters: she can't act anymore and she is a heinous brat who is now reaping what she sewed. I am a Kirsten fan though and I promise she has a long career ahead with an eventually earned respect and reverence for what she does. I have good intuition about things like this.

    2. Also, I couldn't agree more re: Lindsay. Bottom line with her is that she's not a nice person at heart. Not does she seem to have any interest in growing into one.

  19. I'm sad that Kirsten is a troubled soul, and also doesn't have the common sense to not complain about what her choice to drink has done to her career. Anyone who saw her and Michelle Williams in the movie "Dick" couldn't help but be instant fans. Before the jokes start, "Dick" was about Richard Nixon whose nickname was Dick. Kirsten and Michelle play ditsy teenagers who accidentally stumble into the whole Watergate scandal. It's hilarious and I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. Anyway I was really impressed with Kirsten's comedy chops, then to discover her equally umpressive dramatic chops in "The Cat's Meow". I thought she was fantastic in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." I think she's been good in just about everything she's ever been in. She has a special quality onscreen. In real life she doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb. Back in 2009 she was a witness in a NYC burglary trial. She was a victim, as an expensive bag she owned was one of the things stolen on the set of a movie shoot. When she testified she was quite giggly and doing a lot of hair flipping, and greeted the judge with a chirpy "Hi, how ya doin?" The news reported that although she came across as not too bright, onlookers were rather charmed by her sweet and refreshing courtroom behavior. I get a kick out of that story!

  20. Thanks ya'll. So basically she isn't a bad person, but sometimes has "attitude", which pretty much applies to ALL actors. And for whatever reason, a few gossip bloggers disliked her, hence everyone that reads them agreed. That's it? Sounds to me like Dunst has an enemy in the industry who is leaking false or highly exaggerated gossip about her in the hopes of torpedoing her career. I wonder if it is the same person who seems to be doing the same thing to Bradley Cooper?

Well, if this blind is true, or even exaggerated, it seems like Dunst, while loving her drink, doesn't let it interfere with her work. I was prepared to hate her in it because I studied the history so much, but I simply LOVED her in Marie Antoinette!!

    1. That's true! I guess though that since she starred in 3 highly recognizable popcorn flicks, she qualifies as a popcorn queen.

Either way, I'd love to hear the rest of your anecdote, BSM.

    1. It got cut off! Lol. He learned the hard way bc she got drunk and it held up filming for a day and he was late to come home to a family party. It was funny to hear him
      Try to explain he was
Missing a communion bc the little kid from interview with a vampire was tipsy. But she was very nice, as was Ryan gosling. They played whiffleball in between takes.

My hubs works in industry, not as actor but behind scenes. He's seen a lot. Lol!

  24. Basil, one other dimension to it, imo. People don't usually have that long a memory - the reason they (bloggers and gossip fiends) do for KD is because her ridicule had a tag line.

As Kirsten Dunst she was a person - as Kiki Drunkst she was an advertising campaign.

Same as that ghastly 'Rita Whora' moniker.

  25. I thought a lot of the ill will towards her happened around the time she was dating/broke up with Jake Gyllenhaal. As I recall his sister Maggie didn't like Kirsten very much. That probably coincides with her getting her drink on a bit too often. It did seem like Kirsten was in the tabloids pretty often and was everywhere at the theaters (remember that cheerleader movie she did?).

  26. I ALWAYS liked her from "Crazy/Beautiful" on...she got a bad rep becuz she would get a bit too 'uninhibited' when she drank,,which was often unfortunately,as she says herself, back in the day,& thus unreliable the next day(s)..Remember,just before signing onto that film to which bcm is referring,"All Good Things",she went to Rehab for depression/alcohol(which normally go hand in hand),& she was totally forthright about her struggles which I believe helped ALOT of young folk.I always respected her for her basically saying, hey,it is what it is & she didn't bullshit. She was recently having her issues again but I believe she now has a sober companion & she's back w/Garrett Hedlund after that debaucle. So good on her mate.she's good at her craft & a good woman. She's up for playing BLONDIE btw, in her biopic.
