Blind Item #6 - Kindness?

This foreign born B- list mostly movie actress had a big 2013. Huge. Went from a nobody to a somebody and 2014 should be even bigger. She was stopped by a fan on the street and posed for several photos and even did a voice mail recording for them. Several other people then rushed up and wanted photos with the actress. They admitted they had no idea who she was, even when she told them her name. They just knew she must be famous because of the first fan. Instead of being rude about it, our actress still posed for lots of photos while she told them what recent big movie she starred in.

  4. Ugh I am annoyed by these people. Why get your picture taken with someone you don't know?!! It's like me walking down the street and asking a stranger to take a photo with me. Idiots!

  8. If Lupita and she won an Oscar is she still B-? Don't think it is her. So whoever it is is apparently kind because she wasn't rude to people that didn't know her? Not a great standard for kindness.

  10. margot. lupita became a hit later on in the year and became the "it" girl during award season this year. versus margot who was in the earlier release, wolf, and had a lovely award season 2013.

  11. Lupita just won an Oscar, she's A list (for the time being). I think it's Margot, nobody recognises her with dark hair.

  15. Why do people do this? I don't understand. I remember once going into a BA lounge, putting my stuff on an empty chair, going to get a coffee and when I turned to walk back nearly fell over my own feet as I realised I was sitting next to robin gibb.( yeah, I know) I just got on with my stuff and never said a word, other than to nod and smile as I would to anyone I was sitting next to, Folks kept coming over and asking for their photo taken with him and his autograph. It was every Couple of mins, Made me feel a bit uncomfortable. He was very gracious, but seriously, that must get real old, real quick. I know they want the publicity,,,but sometimes,,enough already.

  16. "I Don't Know What You Know Me From" is the new Judy Greer book where she talks about this moment. A fan can't place her and it becomes her responsibility to guess which film the fan saw her in. And she can't get away until she comes up with the right answer. If she doesn't ever guess it right the fans get mad at her. Hilarious.

    1. I love the Judy Greer story, @lazyday603, and can absolutely see it happening. Right down to the disgruntled fan.

(And amongst other things, Walden's wife springs to mind.)

  19. So there we were, years ago, in SeaTac airport getting off the plane when our son says, "Isn't that Al from Tim the Tool Time Taylor Show?" We were like, "Yup. Let's get some coffee." Then we noticed the asshat take off down the concourse as if we were going to mob him. Not a soul noticed him except our son, and he didn't really care, he was just asking a question.

The only person he actually ogled over was a Medal of Honor recipient that we had the pleasure to meet. That old war hero absolutely loved the adoration he earned. Nicest man too. Later our son said, "Dad, did you know he stabbed a guy in his head?!!" My heart skipped a beat, that's my boy. :)
