This married A list talk show host was at the White House Correspondent's Dinner last night but he spent the entire day in a hotel room with his mistress. He made his wife stay back home.

  2. When your husband 'makes' you stay back home rather than take you to a top knotch dinner, I would have thought you might just have an inkling that he's probably up to no good.

  6. Awwwww damn it! I love Joel McHale. (It is absolutely ongodly to be up at this hour. At least I can sneak some pancakes for breakfast.) Good morning everyone

  7. Matt Lauer is not a talk show host. The Today Show is a news show, even if it's used very loosely.

  8. Good morning Brea. Enty really just took a shit in my cereal with this one. Joel was my first thought but I pray this is Matt

  10. But would we call Joel McHale a "talk show host"? I'll just keep telling myself it's not him...

    2. Mchale still hosts the soup on E but that is definitely not a talk show. They make fun of clips from talk and other shows.

  11. Joel McHale's wife was there last night. Plus, he's not a talk-show host - the Soup isn't a talk-show.

  14. Barbara Walters or Ronin Farrow?

  15. Joel McHale is trying to go the way of Greg Kinnear! While hosting last night, Spiderman 2 was on another channel. (He played the creepy guy trying to get in Mary Jane's pants!)

  16. If it's that douche Matt, home for his wife is a mansion in the Hamptons. If you were her, where would you rather be?

  17. Knee Pads posted a article about Joel McHale at the White House Correspondent's Dinner. That would be my guess.

  20. We watched the WHCD last night for OBama's and McHale's talks (it was on CSPAN and CNN). Obama was good - pretty funny for someone whose main occupation isn't being a comedian. McHale was just awful (and I really like him on The Soup, don't watch Community). His jokes were poorly written and even more poorly delivered. It was like he just wrote some stuff down at the last minute. Most of the time he was just reading it, not making eye contact with the audience. Here's a link discussing it: http://www.deadline.com/2014/05/white-house-correspondents-dinner-2014-live-blog/ (sorry, don't know how to make a clicky). Evidently Fallon had been offered the job but couldn't do it so he wasn't there. I have no idea who the subject of this blind is, however.

  21. someone on fox news??

  22. Yes Evie unless we can find another suspect, please not my Stephen LOL. I don't think McHale qualifies.

  23. Joel McHale's wife was there and photographed with him.

  24. I'm going with Lauer. McHale's not known so much anymore for talk show hosting as he is for starring in a network tv show. #SaveCommunity, #SixSeasonsAndAMovie, and #OccupyNBC were all over Twitter for a while.

  25. Colbert was at the head table good excuse for the wife to stay home you know.

  27. So Fallon wasn't there, The Soup and The Colbert report are not talk shows. I don't have have a good idea but was hoping to eliminate some people here who want their idols preserved.

  29. I think of Stephen Colbert as a talk show host... not to mention he's taking over for Letterman.

  30. Interesting, I was going to post the link with the picture of McHale and his wife, but it has been deleted. I'm not sure what to make of that.

  31. The Soup is a clip show. The Colbert Report is a "satirical television program" according to IMDB. So neither are talk shows.
Stephen will be a talk show host, but he isn't one yet.

  32. Was Craig Ferguson (who once hosted the event) there last night? Reading his autobio, which is pretty much a hoot. Hate to think it's him....

  33. i just rewatched the whcd and lauer was there alone.

  34. Joel McHale's wife Sarah Williams was there:

  35. "kneepads" perfectly describe mainstream celebrity based media like People mag, Us weekly, Entertainment Tonight, Extra. There's NO journalistic integrity there NONE. It's boot licking, ass kissing non journalism, as if written by publicists at it's rock bottom worst. Enty and this site IS real journalism, IS gutsy and truth telling.

  36. Enty and this site IS real journalism, IS gutsy and truth telling?!!!

I don't know if your dictionary is in Esperanto or what, but writing about tween starlets being abused and molested, naming the girls but not the perpetrators, and then labeling it as a blind item - this is a far cry from hard-hitting, or even actual, journalism.

  37. @David Mchale didn't play the creep trying to get in MJ's pants in Spidey 2, he played a bank officer that Aunt May and Peter were talking to when Doc Ock attacked. When the gold coins went flying everywhere, he tried to pocket one and Aunt May slapped his hand and made him drop it.

  40. This is not McHale. As for his performance, it wasn't bad, the jokes were all well structured/relevant/delivered fine, the issue was the venue isn't hospitable to that type of comedy, it's a notoriously hard room, and the press take their cues from the Pres/1st lady. Obama smiles and laughs, but is well known for not enjoying jokes at his expense. It creates tension in the room. Clinton was even worse, oddly enough, W and Al Gore are the easiest.
