Possible Signals From MH370 Black Boxes
In what investigators are calling the best lead to date, two ships have heard pinging from what could be the black boxes of MH 370 deep under the Indian Ocean. The signals which operate on batteries and could quit any day now were broadcasting on slightly different frequencies than is normal, but technicians say that could be because the batteries are running out of life. Investigators from Australia say they should know something within the next few hours or day at most. I wonder why nothing from the plane has floated to the surface. Did it go down completely intact with no openings at all for things to escape? You would think some type of debris would have floated to the top of the ocean or drifted to some land somewhere.
The head of the joint agency investigating the crash said, "Clearly this is a most promising lead, and probably in the search so far, it's probably the best information that we have had. We've got a visual indication on a screen and we've also got an audible signal — and the audible signal sounds to me just like an emergency locator beacon."
There have been promising leads before, but this sounds like it could actually be something rather than just sea trash floating around the oceans.
I don't know why they are still reporting on this story... CNN already solved it with by bringing on a psychic instead of doing any actual journalism! ::vomit::
ReplyDeleteLOL @ zeeky! Did you see Jon Stewart's take on the CNN reporting? The DUH room!
ReplyDeleteDear Lord please let this be the dang plane so we can give the families closure and MOVE ON!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUnless the flight crashed because a celeb was freebasing while the pilot cornholed her, I don't need to see the story on here. Please stay on topic Fugazi Enty, and the topic is Celeb Hijinx.
ReplyDeleteI hope it is the plane. Then all these stories (and they really are stories) can stop. I'm pretty sure it will be. The Chinese will be dedicated on trying to recover the wreckage so they can retrieve all the gold bullion on board.
ReplyDeleteEnty - depending on the physics of how it descended into the ocean, it may not have smashed into the ocean ... it may have gone down very carefully, and slowly, and could well be intact. I'm not an expert on this, but then again there don't appear to be an experts, so we're all speculating.
PS: If it is the plane, it will be so sad for Danica Weeks, to think her husband was just miles from home when he died :-(
DeleteCount - Don't forget the actress who passes her baby to the person in the aisle seat so she can have tearful sexy-times in the tin-can plane bathroom!
ReplyDeleteSeven - Haven't seen that video but saw an earlier one of Stewart's with CNN's newest batch of preschool masquerading as news. Seriously, CNN, toy planes and psychics, Princess Leia-style holograms instead of international bureaus?
Count, this blog has a long history of including non-celeb stories. I like them. It balances out the celeb sex stuff, and gives us all a forum where we can share opinions about other matters.
ReplyDeleteStepforded - Good point about the plane perhaps not crashing and still being intact. That Hudson River plane crash where pilot Sullenberger "landed" on the water and everyone lived shows it could be the case. (Except these people probably aren't so lucky.)
ReplyDeleteHis blog, his stories. There aren't RULES for what can be posted on someone's blog. They make their own rules.
ReplyDeleteThe DM is reporting that they got some kind of letter from a terrorist group claiming responsibility. Anyone else see that? I still think this whole thing is super shady and the governments involved know something.
ReplyDeleteSpot on!
DeleteMaybe, but some of those terrorist groups are kinda known for claiming responsibility for lots of things they had nothing to do with. It just helps them to create panic, and, you know, terror.
DeleteThis thing is definitely weird, but I think it's jumping to conclusions to say it's shady and people know stuff they might or might not know. Generally the simplest answer is the right one. Not the one where, in this day and age, dozens of people know some super-shady secret that they've all managed to 100% keep.
Something will be found, eventually, even if it's years down the track. It's pretty tough for anyone to 'know something' until that happens.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I hear there are underwater volcanoes, in the area of the crash so I am wondering the plane just smashed right into the opening of those volcanoes if that is possible, or is stuck under the side of one, I am no expert. There are apparently are layers of currents in this area because the water is so deep so I am taking a wild guess that maybe debris cannot to float to the surface, that some of the cross currents underneath are keeping it trapped. No wonder no one takes their boats or ships out there as a rule.
ReplyDeleteOh and I hate it when those jihadists take credit for someone else's work.
I hate all this off topic stuff. Just tell me what celeb broad was Raped/Molested/Incested and link me to nude pics. This plane is like Lilo's virtue, it will never be seen again. Closure is for people who can't let go.
ReplyDeleteCount, you can skip any story you like. No one is forcing you to read this thread.
ReplyDeleteAliens, or CO$.
ReplyDeleteThat was classic Jon Stewart. Funny!
ReplyDeleteCertainly hope these are the black boxes and they find the crash. Very possible it could be intact but highly improbable. What Sully did had ever been done before and if they floated to a landing there would be rafts deployed I would think. Sadly we may never know.
No guarantee these are from the plane just yet although it does corroborate the sighting of something off the coast of southwestern Australia.
@Seachica: I'm just trolling
ReplyDeleteSnakes on that plane.
ReplyDeleteDebris floats, so any debris from the plane would be hundreds of miles away from the site of the pinging by now, a month later.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's also possible that if the plane nose-dived it could have gone to the bottom intact. But you would think the wings would shear off ...
Agree Principessa - if they knew where to look immediately they would have seen a debris field but now a month later it is too spread out. The ocean is huge. That is so far south that it is rough and rarely traveled. Even debris from a plane wreck would be so scattered as to be undetectable..
DeleteIf it nosedived in then it disintegrated. An airline pilot friend thinks pilot probably plotted a course on autopilot then depressurized the plane which would shortly kill everyone onboard which is why no cell phone calls got out. Plane then ran out of fuel and splashed.
DeleteCNN doesn't want this plane found ever, because then they'd have to go back to covering actual news.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that the pilot could depressurize the plane. That's scary - because that means that anybody that gets into the cockpit and overcomes the pilots, they can do that too?
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you all who are more tech-savvy than myself ... when you're over the ocean with no cell towers nearby, how do cell phones work?
Do you all remember the pro golfer Payne Stewart and how he died in 1999? He was on a private plane that was going cross country and the plane lost pressure very suddenly. Apparently if you don't put on your oxygen mask within a few seconds, the hypoxia causes slowed reactions, disorientation, mistakes in judgment. Once that happens, you die quickly of lack of oxygen. Hypothermia would also be an issue.
So in the case of Payne Stewart, everybody on board died within a few minutes, I would think. But the plane was on autopilot and it flew on for several hours. The Air Force scrambled some jets that made visual contact with the cockpit, they saw heavy condensation inside the windows, and no signs of movement.
Tragically the flight continued until the plane ran out of fuel then it crashed in a field. Fortunately nobody was harmed on the ground.
Texas Rose, I had never thought about the plane becoming depressurized, but if that happened, that would explain everything with the Malaysia flight - except why it was so far off course.
One thing is that if it depressurized ... did the oxygen masks come down? Could the pilots prevent that if they did this deliberately?
ReplyDeleteIn any event, if it depressurized, the people aboard would have gone to sleep pretty quickly and it would have been a relatively painless death, far preferable to several hours of fear followed by the terror of knowing you are crashing into the ocean.
From it's creation this site has never been JUST celebrity hijinks. If anything there used to be more human interest or headline news stories in the past when Enty was a lawyer with more intelligent opinions. No offense new enties.
