James Maslow And Peta Murgatroyd Get Perfect Score

For the first time this season, a perfect score was given on Dancing With The Stars. For anyone who has watched this season, it was only a matter of time before James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd would receive one and last night they did. It probably helps that they are dating. The couples that do the best are the ones that end up spending their entire time together and not worried about anything else. The pair danced to Let It Go and Carrie Ann Inaba cried the whole time. Probably because she was sad she was missing Lindsay Lohan on 2 Broke Girls.

In a bit of a shocker Cody Simpson was the one who was sent packing. With his background and fan base I thought he would stick around a little longer, but he was in the bottom two with Candace Cameron Bure.

  11. How does one figure out who is trolling? Or do you just assume? Not being snarky (this time, heh), I'm genuinely curious how ppl figure out this troll stuff.

    1. Sandy and I have a mutual dislike. He accuses me of being ALL the trolls but mostly Canopener because I said once that I don't mind being compared to her (he also said I was Massive G and Wendy Davis but those are two people I do mind being compared to)

    2. So, he's assuming? Gotcha!

And, WD and Massive? Please. Tho I am worried about Massive's kind and gentle turn lately...

  16. The performance in question would have to be after we stopped watching...Julianne can be quite a little bitch. I had no idea (I just started watching the show).
I guess I can't say 'Sad Face' anymore, spoiled by a troll. (Randoms #5 yesterday).

  28. Heavens to murgatroyd! (I always think that when I see her name, it's Pavlovian.)

Leave my Ray Nicolet alone! Besides, it wasn't that long ago that **I** was accused of being Mistress of the Trolls as well. Whoever he or she is, their devious master plan of deflection is working.

  31. Aren't we all, in our own unique way, a troll? We all comment & respond to the ultimate troll and his fairy tales of Hollywood after dark. Personally, if I were to troll anyone, I'd start a twitter account and navigate my energy toward the K Klan. Trolling here is just sad.

  34. Just want to write I only post under this name. I have never trolled. Just worried some of the newbies might think I am one just because I am Australian. I think this troll is someone who posts under multiple pseudonyms.

  36. Now I understand the "Malibu Wendy" thing from someone the other day. Thank you, Kym.

I'm not Wendy. Your paranoia is showing, girls. Instead of being hyper-vigilant, which is grating on the nerves and drying to the skin, try a little self-reflection. You might gain some insight into why you have trolls in the first place.

  38. Serves me right for always wandering in after hours to vent my excess verbiage... TTM? Meet WTM (Writes Too Much ;-) .

But this Troll stuff makes me wish I was back in college. Okay, in real life, that was before Al Gore created the internet, but it'd be a blast to do a study of completely disparate sites that attract trolls.

Regardless of a site's focus, trolling causes paranoia, suspicion, & self-justification to boil over into mutual finger-pointing. But CDAN is the 1st site where I've seen so many long-term Regulars go on vacation or just pick up their ball & go home.

The stakes are lower here, though: gossip, dry spells with no interesting gossip, meta-gossip (posts about fake celebs from fake reality TV shows)--& it's worse here, when the site's losing it's ability to attract readers through sheer authorial personality. In fact, I only started reading the CDAN comments because I (rightly) suspected the commenters had to be more interesting than the increasingly bland posts.

Commenters on higher-stakes sites (from politics & history to ex-cult members) become very wound-up, shrill, & paranoid during troll infestations, but few core readers/commenters actually disappear unless there's a major division in the community--in which case some dissenters take off & start their own blog sites.

But the CDAN trolls' sole agenda seems to be a control/power trip devoted to flooding the comments with childish, petty crap in the hope of drowning every last scrap of fun, wit, & sense of community in the group. What a drag.

  39. Awwwwww...so eloquent. I think I'm going to have to change my ways! Thank you for your dissertation on such an important topic. I feel ready to start a new chapter in my life, one of altruistic, selfless, and humble servitude to the innocent and good hearted people who populate this warm, kind, gentle, and loving community.
