Heroes Producers Don't Want Hayden Panettiere Back
When Heroes returns to the airwaves next year with a mini-series, one person who won't be back from the original cast is Hayden Panettiere. The producers have made it clear they don't want her, even though she was one of the big stars of the show. Hayden told Cosmopolitan that she didn't even know they were doing a Heroes reboot until her cousin texted her. Umm, not exactly. Her agents knew the show was coming back. Her agents tried to get her a spot in the show because they know it will be huge and have great ratings but they couldn't get her on the show. So, Hayden will be stuck doing Nashville for the foreseeable future and watch as her former cast mates and new ones come back for Heroes. She says that if she is replaced on the show with someone playing her character that it would be like a dagger to her heart. I can't see the producers doing that, but I can see them just ignoring that her character ever existed. There was no exactly a lot of warm feelings between herself and the rest of the cast by the time the show finished filming. She thought she was the star of the show and should be treated as such and made it clear to anyone that she should be treated like the star.
UM QIUT BEING BITTER YOU ENTRY
ReplyDeleteSomething something killed the cheerleader.
ReplyDeleteHubris.
Delete"....stuck doing Nashville..." It's statements like that that just reaffirm to me that the person writing this blog has little to no connection to the entertainment industry and writes off of conjecture.
ReplyDeleteSave the cheerleader save the boobies!
ReplyDeleteHer name reminds me of cake
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as if Miss Panty-Airs kinda did it to herself.
ReplyDeleteI mean, how are they going to kill her off? This will have to be some classic soap opera writing.
ReplyDelete@Seven I hope that's not what Alec Baldwin meant when he said he's going 'to the baker'
ReplyDeleteShe must have been pretty bad if she is not on the show :(((. HEROES, Battlestar galactica, Starwars.. my dream tv day
ReplyDeleteOops that was Simon Cowell
ReplyDeleteSeemingly not quite a few people who catch a break in movies or TV, her success went to her head; that was before she was reduced to spreading her legs for the right price. Until "Nashville" came along and gave her another chance. She's actually fairly good in that role and it could lead to something bigger, better if she doesn't let her ego become hyper-inflated again.
ReplyDelete@hollywood dime, I thought the same thing about that phrase.
ReplyDeleteThey're both dark-haired jerks and I got them mixed up.

ReplyDeleteWho says Heroes is going to be a hit? Started off great, but I gave it up at the start of the 2nd season.
ReplyDeleteThis might be the dumbest post I have ever read, the whole thing reads like a scorned agent. Just one, though, there is no way this will be a huge hit
ReplyDeleteOr how about something as simple as maybe the network and studio that produces Nashville would not allow an actress who is under contract to them, and to whom they pay a lot of money, work on a project for a competing network? It is actually pretty standard and common. As an entertainment lawyer, I am sure you know that.
ReplyDeleteagree with the dime
ReplyDelete"stuck" doing Nashville? Lots of people would kill for the role she has in Nashville......
as for them not wanting her back.....she was pretty good the first time around on that show....I dunno
all sounds pretty suspect
I never got the appeal. I think she's Jennifer Aniston average.
ReplyDeleteBite your tongue! NO ONE is as average as Jennifer Aniston!
ReplyDeleteEnty.. what did Hayden do to you? You seem on a role with her lately....
ReplyDeleteI don't even want this shitty show back!
ReplyDeleteIt started out OK, but turned into a miserable soap opera called As The Petrellis Turn!
Exactly Lady WAWA! There IS an exclusivity clause in most contracts! Of course Enty would know that!
ReplyDeleteI have no experience with SAG/A contracts, but have read quite a few reality (non union) ones. They always include first right of refusal and exclusivity unless you have a pre existing rider.
Her name sounds like she needs new undies. Panty tear.
In the beginning of this site, enty loved hayden. She was on his short list of people he would not talk shit about or put in blind items. Hayden, America Ferrara, Ali Larter, America Young and D. Swain (Obviously). Maybe a couple others. But by Season 2 of heroes he was saying she got too big for her britches and she was no longer "safe"
ReplyDeleteU know it's bad when they don't want one of the major characters back.
ReplyDeleteI think it's due to contractual obligations as well. Since we haven't actually SEEN the Cosmo article it's hard to say what her comment was regarding being left out.
ReplyDeleteSeems like Nashville is a good gig for her but hasn't it also been rumored that she thinks she should be the star there as well? Maybe some of this isn't so far off the mark after all if true.
Can't stand this bimbo ... she seemed completely out of it on Ellen ... well, either out of it for just stupid
ReplyDeleteShe reminds me of a troll. I can't with her cotton commercial
ReplyDeleteWhat a troubled girl. Deep down she knows she is an insufferable twunce, so she engages in abusive sex to punish herself. HAWT!
ReplyDeleteLady Wawa is right. I know an actor that this happened to. Apparently you can negotiate your way out of exclusivity clauses, but maybe she couldn't.
ReplyDeleteso basically she was a diva bitch while on the show
ReplyDeleteI loved that show. I used to say... KILL THE CHEERLEADER SAVE THE SHOW!!!! I just got a little vajayjay boner :)
ReplyDeleteUntil the ratings are dropping and sweeps-week is coming.
ReplyDeleteShe seemed to be high on something at the Golden Globes
ReplyDeleteIt's a little of both. It's like mischa Barton from the OC, she was the break out star, but after she thought she was better than the show I can't picture her coming back for the remake. I agree with the contract things, but on the flip side, when you haven't damaged your reputation it's a lot easier to negotiate between networks to make it happen. So if they really wanted her, they would find a way, which it sounds like they do not.
ReplyDeleteLike others, I'm sure Nashville has her locked down. I spoke to someone who was familiar with the lockdown that Fox had on the cast of Glee (no, Lea was never considered for Les Mis bonce they learned of that lockdown, and the scheduling conflict), and when a network puts a lot of money into a show or believes they have a hit, yeah, that exclusivity clause can be intense.
ReplyDeleteAs for Heroes, it's a reboot, not a continuation of the story. New Heroes, new stories. From what I understand, all new cast more than likely and no mention of any of the previous events. Remember, the creator of Heroes left during the writers' strike and was not involved in the last season and a half of the show, which was all the worst parts of it. He has a clean slate and can do whatever the heck he wants. Like Christian Bale taking over Batman.
For me it was her and the Asian dude as the stars
ReplyDelete"it will be huge and have great ratings"? Probably not, or the original show wouldn't have been cancelled after only 3 or 4 seasons.
ReplyDeleteShe was the fucking star. Save the cheerleader, save the world. She was the cheerleader. Then Tim Kring fucked up the show and took the focus off the original characters and that's why it went into the crapper.
ReplyDeleteThe show was awesome until the writers strike. after they came back from that, it was like WTF it sucked and never managed to come back from that.
ReplyDeleteLet us just hope they don't F up the reboot. And WOO for not bringing her character back. Couldn't frickin stand the character.
ReplyDeleteThere was one star and one star alone of that show. QUINTO, bitch!
