duPont Heir Gets Probation For Sexually Assaulting His Kids

I hope there is a special place in hell for Robert Richards IV and the judge who gave him probation should be right next to him. Back in 2009 Richards was arrested and charged with two counts of second degree child rape after admitting he sexually assaulted his toddler daughter. Both of these charges carry mandatory sentences of ten years per count. I still don't think that is long enough but twenty years in jail is much better than what eventually happened.

This all came to light when his ex-wife filed a lawsuit against the man where she accused him of sexually assaulting their young son too. Apparently he reached a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to one count of fourth degree rape which doesn't have a mandatory sentencing requirement. The judge decided that Richards wouldn't do well in jail so he was given probation and ordered to attend sex offender counseling. That's it. Two kids who will be scarred for life because of their father's actions and he pays no penalty and keeps living off his trust fund money. He is the great grandson of the duPont family patriarch. He has never been criminally charged with assaulting his son but I think someone should look into that. I can't believe he is not rotting in jail.

What do you think he has been doing the past five years? Do you think he suddenly lost his urge to assault young children? Do you think he has been living a life that doesn't involve abusing kids?

  5. This makes me sick to my stomach. I'm assuming the judge was paid off...or someone was paid off to let this beast wander around. Raping his toddler??? Disgusting. And what the hell is 4th degree rape? Rape with a child is rape. 1st, 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th. This guys should be rotting in hell.

  6. I wonder if the judge got a big payoff.

  7. How is this entertainment related? And how do you expect people to respond to this?

  9. Would have to think the Delaware AG's office and whatever the name of the department is that oversees judicial shenanigans will be on this like stink on a crooked judge.

  10. @Derek, I think this just fits in the broader context of celebrity justice and how other pedos like Schneider seem to duck consequences. Or he could be trolling us. There's always that ;)

The weak charges could have stemmed from a lack of evidence or maybe his kids are not capable of testifying for some reason. I am glad they were spared of the awful judicial processes involved, at least. They could have also offered this deal because there were police errors or corruption. Common in high profile cases like these. In a way, it's still better to lock them down on a lesser sentence than take a gamble and lose like they did with the Anthony case and many others. Fuck this guy.

  11. i thought he admitted to the abuse. it's not even a question whether it happened or not. you can't fix these people.

what i'd like to know is why we tolerate this system? there are 2 very different justice systems in this country.

if OJ had been orenthal the bus driver, he would be on death row for killing his wife and ron goldman. but because he was rich, he got away with it.

(and yes, i know he's in now, but it's for a case that was total bullshit.)

  12. This judge can kiss her career goodbye. She's right up there with the Montana judge who let the teacher off for raping a student who subsequently committed suicide.

  14. Dominick Dune made a career out of writing about how the rich literally get away with murder after his daughter's rich boyfriend got off after killing her, she played the oldest daughter in Poltergeist.

  15. This is a natural consequence of all the worshipping of rich people and corporations that Americans do. Don't complain, this is what you've asked for.

  16. The very wealthy also have a lot more resources than the average person to slow down investigations. They can travel at a moment's notice, afford the best lawyers, buy off anyone who is buyable, and they can make large enough campaign contributions that they get special attention from politicians.

  17. Someone needs to take care of this since obviously the justice system only wants to protect him and not the children.

    ReplyDelete
  18. How is that even possible? Beyond revolting and disturbing.

  19. This is unconscionable, but not surprising. Throughout the history of this country, the rich have lived by different rules than everyone else.

  20. This is all sorts of effed up.

  21. @Chris, that's not a proper argument. America didn't invent wealth, nor the worship of it, nor the power it brings, nor the lack of consequences paid by those who enjoy it.

Show me a country where the rich receive equal punishment to the poor.

Meanwhile, this duPont heir is an utter piece of shit and I hope he burns in Hell. Soon.

  22. I read the article. His daughter was 3 at the time and told her grandma who then told her mother. So, yes one of them does remember. His son was an INFANT at the time! It's beyond disgusting---but honestly I think the judge is the biggest monster of all. She said he "would not do well in prison". Who the fuck "does well?" It's not meant to be a summer camp! It's a prison-meant and built with the intention to punish. I hope her life is a living hell and when she sleeps she dreams of children screaming.

  23. This family is full of shitty humanoids. I hope this asshole bites it in prison, but we all know he will be in solitary for his own safety. Another DuPont heir got off after murdering his neighbor in Texas in the early 2000's. These bastards have never suffered consequences. Affluenza strikes again.

  24. People please, it's not just rich people in America who get away with shit like this. Money speaks every language.

He and the judge should both be executed in a public square somewhere.

  25. Pedophiles often get off on light punishment. I think it might be due to the fact the witnesses are so damaged it is hard to use their testimony and are easy to create holes in testimony.
It sickens me that when a child is raped it is deemed less of a crime than when an adult is sexually assaulted. It's is far easier to accuse the child of telling a lie rather than believe an adult is capable of the crime.

  26. Someone needs to do a Dexter on this worthless fatass. Pedos have no place on this earth.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The judge was afraid he couldn't handle jail? In jail he'd be killed because if there's one crime criminals hate its pedophilia and they handle it right. Outside hes safe although kids are not.

  34. AG in Delaware is Beau Biden son of Joe our VP, so I would say it is political. The Judge should be removed and someone should investigate how this happened but I doubt they will. Pieces of shit like this have many victim, they do not change ever. Anyone who covers for these POS should all rot in hell. There is no justice when it involves the filthy rich. Filthy Pig.Crimes against children are the worse.Probably a very big donation to the Democratic party took care of his debt to society.

  35. I took the bar exam with this judge, when there were only 120 of us sitting for the bar that year. I've known her, and have friends who have known her, for decades. There is no way there was any corruption on her part.

Everything here by the judge was "by the book." The sentencing guidelines call for 0 to 2 1/2 years of level five (prison) for the crime.

The villain here, if there is one, is that AG's office that brought the plea bargain to the judge.

And the comment about his not doing well in prison was a note based on comments of the lawyers at the hearing. There is no evidence that it was any part of the sentencing decision.

  36. Time to request an inquiry into all who were involved in the judicial process here. I bet some money pops up in the oddest places.

  39. if the kids are old enough, he is likely no longer interested in molesting them as pedophiles have preferred age groups and tend to ignore children not within the desired age range.

  40. that said, while I in no way approve of this sentence, i am completely unsurprised at all.

results like this, and people dont understand why abuse victims are reluctant to come forward.....

  41. Speaking of child molesters: The March 24th PEOPLE magazine has an article about the founder of Hungry Girl (website, books, enewsletter, etc about eating low cal, low fat)--I've seen this chick on a million talk shows--and the article mentions she's marred to successful Nickelodeon tv producer...DAN SCHNEIDER.

Yeah, so...think about that the next time you see Hungry Girl mentioned somewhere...

This DuPont family is seriously screwy - I recall watching something on the CI channel about them and they're just not normal!

  44. He WILL reoffend! For a prime example of the justice system failing children by being too lenient on pedophiles, I urge you all to look up the case of Daniel Morcombe and the criminal history of his killer, Brett Peter Cowan. It's horrific and heartbreaking, but shows what happens when sex offenders are allowed to continue to live a free life.

  46. Oh yeah, sick is just the beginning of this episode. Sure, this F@#K is a scumbag piece of work, but the real sick part is the realization that everyone who posted their disgust, not only for this cho-mo asshole, but for the loophole of justice or "judicial oversight" are pissing in the wind. If you think the judge 'made a mistake" ,....think again. He didn't make any mistakes,...HE DID AS HE WAS TOLD!! This scum f$%king molesting sack o'feces belongs to one of the 13 families!! Illuminatus maximus! These katz have the freakin' Pope doing their bidding for 'Christ' sake.(sorry, couldn't resist the textual play)The duPont family makes legislation as well as legislators.Presidents, royalty, clergy, and corporate mogul alike are strategically placed and "in place" for the new world order, while the rest of the world gets high, doesn't vote or gets fed up and offs themselves. This child abusing phenomenon is the result of generations of in-breading. Now,...GO TO SLEEP!!!
