Dennis Rodman Is A Mess

Wednesday night was not a good night for Dennis Rodman. According to The NY Post he was kicked out of two restaurants in Miami for being drunk and unruly. After being kicked out of one place he immediately went to another and this is where you really have to wonder how much longer Dennis Rodman is going to be alive if he doesn't get help. He walked into the place with a lit cigar. When asked to put it out he refused and went outside and sat at a table with people he didn't know. He started ordering cocktails on their tab. They asked him to leave, but he wouldn't. He then grabbed a bottle of wine off another table and started drinking it before grabbing a scotch and soda off the bar without paying for it. management told him they would call the police if he didn't leave right then. I'm sure if it wasn't Dennis Rodman they would have called the police. Maybe they should have. Maybe someone should. If they had called the police or someone had pressed charges to get him arrested then maybe a judge would order him into rehab where he would have to stay and get him on some type of probation and testing where he would have a chance. I know it would be a very tiny chance of getting better, but it would be something. There is no way he can continue to function if he keeps going. There is going to be an end to all of this and I don't think it will be in a happy Disney kind of way.

  3. Well as a former basketball player, of course when he hits bottom, he's going to bounce. ( or in his case, dribble :-\ )

  4. No surprise. Since he was unwelcome cops should have been called but he's a "celebrity" so discretion was tried to be used.

  5. Well, honestly, that sounds like every drunk guy everywhere. Or every drunk person even. I hope he's all right, gets help if he actually does need it, the mister was a big fan back in the day. Patrick Beverley is kinda the new Rodman, sans strange hair

  7. Wow, it doesn't get much more fun than a huge obnoxious drunk guy dropping in at your table and ordering cocktails on your tab!

  10. I sort of doubt the patrons ended up paying for stuff he put on their tab. It wasn't their fault this drunk buffoon sat down uninvited at their table and the house took his order and billed them for it.

That said, I'd always been a big fan of his so it's sad to see him in the depths. He used to be the center of the moving party everyone wanted to be around. Now showing up alone, uninvited, no entourage, no friends, just a dumb drunk ... pathetic. He'd been so incoherent in his most recent interview on CNN after North Korea that I literally felt embarrassed for him. Tragic waste but maybe guys like him can't grow old gracefully.

  12. Thanks leek, I will def. Try.
When I was drinking, I knew I was killing brain cells, and I know I didn't do as much as he. I guess he's feeling the loss now.

  15. What is with pushing foax to rehab? Rehab is NOT for everyone.

  16. That is the most shocking story tag line I have ever seen- how controversial!!

  17. How about if his little friend Kim Jong Un puts him in one of his prison camps for awhile? That'll straighten him out real fast.

Agreed with @Megley...not everyone needs rehab, and the 12 step program is not the right approach for everyone anyway, even serious alcoholics.

  21. Hi Alita!!! Only very briefly. It was at an after-party following a charity event for the Seau foundation years ago. There used to be these epic parties thrown at the Gatlin estate in RSF, Gatlin is a developer with contracts like Walmart. Anyways, Dennis rolled in drunk as fuck in this bright purple bellbottomed pimp suit literally made by Von Dutch, huge logos everywhere. Looked ridiculous, especially since this was paired with a giant mad hatterish top hat. He's huge enough. Anyways, yes, Dennis was wasted and doing coke all over a pool table at one point. I did to see him personally snort the lines, but friends did. Homeboy was way fucked up

  23. I also have met Dennis, several times. First time, I was in high school. Dennis was a rookie. He was at the arcade playing video games. We ended up playing for a while, he offered to pay after I ran out of money. He was just a big sad lonely kid. Desperate for some contact with people.
A few years later, the Palace opened. I was working security there for a few months. He came in to just look around. We ended up talking, and he remembered me. He was very nice. And a little drunk.
A year or so after that. I was at a bar, and Dennis walked in. With a huge crowd of suck ups. I managed to get next to him, and talked to him for a while. He said he remembered me. Hard to tell, as he was drunk. He did buy me and my friends lots of drinks. I have a hard time making fun of Rodman. He just seems a big lost kid. Even if he is in his mid 50s.

  24. Doesn't seem like he ever hurt anyone besides himself. Hope he hangs on until he sees he needs to take better care of himself.

  25. Mr. TalksTooLittle met him; he was in Edmonton for his 50th birthday party (which says all you need to know right thur); said he was nice but totally not focused, although maybe not everyone wants to talk about the Bull's 90s winning run, amirite?

  26. So sad. Big kid wasted talent, will linger on for a while, but end sad and alone.... It's amazing how some alcoholics mix just the wrong thing, and die and others mix all the wrong things and live forever (side eye to Charlie Sheen...Melanie, keith, Keiffee, to. Tyler, Ozzy...etc..)

  27. Rodman was a hot mess on Celeb Rehab. Even with the editing we could tell they were implying that he was Hi5 with the “your immune system is compromised” comments. They basically said he would die quickly if he didn’t kick all dope and eat some food, etc. Come to think of it they made the same statements about Gummy Bear.

Anyway, Rodman always cringed in front of the cameras when they mentioned his age. Like that’s the biggest thing he’s embarrassed about? This is a perfect example of watching a car crash in slow motion before it happens. I want to cover my eyes. Dude is probably trying to numb the pain before he’s on the way out.
