Blind Items Revealed

December 31, 2013

This former A list reality star who had been a B list singer/celebrity and is now back to reality because his singing needs to be with a group asked to see a supervisor at the airport the other day. It turns out our celebrity wanted a free upgrade for one of the two seats he needed. When the supervisor said no, our celebrity asked his wife if she was sure she needed first class before he paid the money. His wife said if they don't travel first class then they can't travel. It wouldn't look right to be back in coach.

  9. Maybe because they would have heard back "No!"

  10. If I had as much money as they do (or should have), I wouldn't fly in coach, either! I hate flying anyway, but the seats alone in first class make it better.

  11. So he had just one first class seat then and he expected her to go to coach? Did I read that right?

  12. @Reno - I think they had two coach tickets and he didn't mind staying in coach. I think.

  13. Hey Vanessa. There are starving people on this earth who can't even afford to buy a ticket in the luggage compartment. Take your first class and shove it up your...

  14. I read it the same way as MO Mama - they had two tickets, she wanted first class, he tried to get them upgraded, the supervisor said no, he asked the wife if she would be OK with coach before he sprung cash for upgrading her seat, and she said, "Oh, hell no, first class or no class."

  15. All I have to say is that if I could afford first class, I would never fly coach again. And if Mr. Nom only wanted to do it if it was a free upgrade, he can have fun fighting over an arm rest all by himself.

  16. If Jlaw can fly coach, so can she!

  17. Who can blame her. Traveling coach is the pits.

  18. Surprised at both of them.

  19. Why is this so weird to people? If a celebrity is seen flying coach there the tabloids will jump all over it. There will be stories of money troubles and their career might suffer because of it. If I was famous I wouldn't want to be seen flying coach either. It's not just about the luxury.

  20. He always seemed so down to earth and not frivolous on his show with Jessica. It sounds to me like he is still that way which makes me like him even more. Vanessa is the one acting like she is too good to fly coach.

  21. @carolinalily which is funny, because she weighs as much as a sack of potatoes.

She of all people would actually fit comfortably in coach! LOL

  22. When a Blind starts with "Reality Star" it should automatically be rated a "D" blind.

Add that to the rating system, Enty.

  23. I HATE flying coach. If I was rich I would fly First Class exclusively. Air travel has become more and more like bus travel.

  24. I remember when people dressed up to travel by air. Haha. Yeah, I'm that old.

  25. I hear it like Carolina Lilly. He was always kind of conservative with the money when him and Jessica had that reality show. I think he was fine with flying coach but wifey wasn't having it. I know that coach isn't all that comfortable but depending on how far they were going who cares? The plane lands at the same time whether you are in coach or first class. And the perks just don't sound worth the extreme price in my opinion.

  26. @ellashm..When I was in SAG there was a rule that the production company that flew you had to fly you first class. Now that may have changed because like Shopgirl I remember when people dressed for flying as well.

And on a longer flight, yeah first class is always nice.

We did first class to Central America from Dallas for our honeymoon. We were dressed in nice pants and shirt (although the hubs was in jeans) and some snotty ass byotch tried to get in front of us telling us it was boarding for First Class. Oh what fun I had in response to her.

  27. @Sherry..I also remember the days when we used to dress up for flights. I think the last time I really dressed up for a flight was in the late 80's on my honeymoon for a flight to Europe. There I was in my little mini skirt with four inch heels and my blonde hair long and teased. Now I'm happy as long as I look decent and am comfortable, since most of my flights are for Europe and therefore loong.

I miss the days when my daughter was little and we'd get to the ticket agent ahead of everyone and also board first haha.

And yes people can be so bitcy sometimes. It doesn't take much to either ruin or make someones' day. On one of my 10 hour flights, the flight attendant asked everyone if two people that were sitting together would mind if they would switch their seats and be separated with a lady and her husband because the lady was really scared of flying and needed to sit next to her husband. My daughter who was 12 at the time and I decided we would switch our seats and be separated by a few rows. It wasn't that big of a deal for us and we figured it was a big deal for the lady. We switched our seats with the lady and her husband and she didn't even acknowledge us but the flight attendants were so grateful that we were offered extra drinks throughout our flight.

@Sherry - that still happens ... 'business class' here though.

Nick has always struck me as being normal. His now-wife, the opposite. It probably wasn't his idea to get married on Necker Island.

  29. She has higher standards than their $$ allows. I guess he needs to hustle harder or Vanessa Manilla Folders will take a powder.

  30. Don't see anything wrong with Nick here... Vanessa on the other hand can shove it.
