October 7, 2013

This former A list singer/celebrity who is foreign born and probably still a B+ in her own country but steadily falling here accidentally gave some money to a Scientology offshoot and now they are claiming she is one of them. The former reality star winner wants nothing to do with them.

  1. Wish I had money to give out "accidentally." How the hell does that happen?

  2. Lovely girl, but dull as dishwater. She's got great pipes, but about as bright as a 40 watt bulb.

  3. What happened to her career? I thought she was going to be a big deal, but she just faded away.

  4. Foundation For A Drug Free World is run by Church of $cientology. You would never know that from viewing the infomercials.

    1. That's riiiiight. I totally remember reading about that. This reminds of the time poor Smoochie got set up to perform at a white power event when he thought it was a gig for a kids organization. Know your charities...

  5. Scio rehabs have been proven dangerous they all need to be shut down. All they are there for is to recruit broken people for their own agenda. Too many have died for their 'cure'.

  9. Leona is just another in a long line of women born with incredible voices but can't establish a career because of lack of a sugar daddy and almost zero intellect or personality to match their voices. She needed a Tommy Mottola type (like Mariah had) to get the bucks coming in.

  10. is Leona like a Robbie Williams huge in her home country and the rest of Europe but could never really crack the US market?

I hope it really was an accident, in that she didn't know it was an offshoot group of COS.

Leona was discovered by Simon Cowell, IIRC, so maybe she wouldn't co-operate the way he usually expects his chicks to.

  12. Leona Lewis won the X Factor in England, but I believe there are rumors that Simon Cowell knew who she was long before the show and used it to launch her. Not sure what their falling out was, but yeah, she is no longer in his stable of favorites and her career has suffered. Let that be a lesson to you One Direction, do exactly as Uncle Simon says or your careers will be over.

  13. @ladyH Co$ has lots of offshoot organizations, such as Narc-Anon, that many people do not realize are branches of the Co$, so its more likely she accidentally gave to an affiliated organization and less that she accidentally donated money. hehe

    1. @headrot--I'm aware you didn't imply this and assume you know, but want to clarify for those who might get confused: the CO$ affiliation is with narconon (as you stated) and NOT with Narcotics Anonymous.

  14. I was rooting for Leona Lewis to become a huge star, she definitely has the voice for it. Her single "Bleeding Heart" is amazing, I could listen to it forever.

I somehow got onto the Church of Scientology's mailing list. They are still old school, sending everything in the mail. Some days I get 2 or 3 pieces. They have a lot to answer for, they're probably single-handedly responsible for deforesting the Amazon. I'd call up and tell them to take me off their mailing list but then they'd have my phone number as well (yeah, I know, call-blocking and all that, but that doesn't always work, companies can get around it)... and then I'd be dealing with phone calls too.

  15. @Prunella

I know...she has such a natural musical gift to begin with.
Dear Bob, on a Scientology mailing list. 2-3 pieces a day!! No wonder they fundraise.

  16. I think Leona Lewis became one of Jay Z side pieces and Queen beyonce killed her career out of retaliation.

  17. @sprink yes, exactly, thats why i would think she might get confused, and thus accidentally donate.

i'm glad you clarified for everyone, though, so that noone else has the same confusion :)
