#4 - This former A/B list movie and television actor is driving producers crazy with demands on the set of his new movie. It seems that our actor has some very odd spiritual beliefs and he is willing to only shoot during certain hours of the day because to do otherwise will harm his soul. I think he has smoked way too much pot.
Woody Harrelson
I <3 Woody. Too much pot or not.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me giggle!! I can totally see Woody doing this.
ReplyDeleteI still would.
ReplyDeleteSurely that's " I still WOODY," @LoMo?
DeleteHehehe! Wood puns!
Aw, Haymitch!
ReplyDeleteSo I can't work a regular 9 - 5 job because it will harm my soul! I'm so using that next time I want to quit a crappy project!
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen you in a while Writergirl. Howdy.
DeleteWoody's Wood Pecker
ReplyDeleteThese kinds of beliefs actual aren't too UNCOMMON They even made a crack about it in Zoolander! Rust Cohle 4life
@Lady Heisenberg Thanks. Now I wouldn't.
ReplyDeleteLOL I'm sorry LoMo I thought it was hilarious.
DeleteI totally would. All day, every day.
ReplyDeletei love woody! i read that during 'cheers', he'd call in and say he couldn't film for various reasons. one was the fall of the berlin wall. he said, 'you don't understand. I HAVE TO BE THERE!!!!' LOL.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine he pulled much of that on True Detective. The actors who played the detectives interviewing Rust and Marty said McConaughey's no-nonsense, work is work, no fooling around.
ReplyDeleteBut Michelle Monaghan said Mac and Woods would go play poker after the shooting day was over with their pal Willie Nelson. Talk about smoke-filled rooms.
MM, Woody, AND Willie?! You KNOW that was a hell of a good time. I'd love to be a fly on that wall; I just love all three of those guys.
DeleteSadie, when I knew who was cast in True Detective, I said, woo boy a whole lotta pot being smoked on that set!
ReplyDeleteI find Woody funny but by no means attractive. He looks like an old man without being an old man. Does that make sense?
ReplyDelete*snort* Yes. I think it's the bald head. But I always thought he was cute myself. Not so much celebrity-boyfriend-I-wanna-bang, but attractive. To each her own, though! :-)
DeleteI've met the dude in person, but that was about a decade ago. He was out there, but super nice. His then handler was a b*ch though.
ReplyDeleteHe used to stay at our Hotel in Palm Springs. He was my favorite celebrity guest. He paid and he was nice! I know everyone hates Reese W but I gotta say, she paid and was nice too. The. Only. Ones! Biggest douche John Travolta and Sharon Stone. Both total assholes.
ReplyDeleteI really love this kind of fun inside dirt. Thanks!
DeleteYup, thanks! Love insider info here, too.
Delete@portlandjewel I want to know more about Travolta being a douche. I need specifics!
DeleteI don't know why I get him confused with Matthew McConaughey all the time.
ReplyDeleteYes there is definitely a physical resemblance.
Delete"I've always believed the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom." - Woody H.
ReplyDeleteOMG, I'm gonna try this @ my work!
ReplyDeleteWoody has killed half his brain with drugs. He is a very nice guy though.
I'm going to tell my husband that I can no longer clean the house or do laundry or dishes because it may harm my soul.
ReplyDeleteThe woodster may a coupla tokes over the line on this.
ReplyDeleteIf this is the worst he ever does on a job, it sounds fairly harmless. When I think of some of the demands of celebs that I've read about on here - well at least he has a reason. It's not just 'because'.
ReplyDeleteTRUTH. He is not even close to as bad as so many others.
DeletePortland Jewel. Thanks for the inside scoop. Nice to hear he's a good guy.
ReplyDeleteRevolta and Stone don't seem like much of a reveal sadly. Good to know all the same. Thanks again.
Let Woody do what he wants. Do NOT harm his soul. He's lucky to still have a soul after working in movies this long.
ReplyDeleteDude gets to do what he wants. i forget how great he is with comedy. The small funny portions of TD were because of him
ReplyDeleteHaha Woody. My dad works with him a lot. He's crazy, but very lovable most of the time and VERY nice. Also, really talented when you get down to it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my dad would never hesitate to hire him...he LOVES him...loves McConaughey, too. Their kinda crazy is easy to deal with and nothing compared to what some people can bring to the table...
DeleteI like Woody, and think he is highly underrated as an actor. I suppose it's because he usually plays weird guys. He was good in The Messenger, a serious part.
ReplyDeleteTerese that's interesting. What's McConaughey like? Since True Detective I can't get over Rust Cohle.
ReplyDeleteAmazing lol..pretty much exactly how he seems like he would be! Southern charm mixed w/surfer boy mentality, drinks vodka like it's water (but doesn't ever get sloppy), LOVES his kids and wife, and yes, he really does say 'alright, alright, alright' all the time haha...he's also REALLY passionate about his projects and making them succeed.
DeleteYay! I knew he was a good guy.
DeleteA few years ago I couldn't stand him. Mostly when he was going through the shirtless, bongo-playing, Kate Hudson movie phase. But now I think he's lovely and his wife is so stunning!
He is! Camila is ridiculously stunning...and the nice things he says about his love for his family are coming from power-man-filled business dinners with booze, so you know its real :) OT- My Dad's favorite actor, hands-down, is Christoph Waltz. They worked together on Django Unchained and a couple of other projects and he is literally the nicest (like super, genuinely nice), most hard-working person ever, and they became good friends. My dad was mentioned in his Oscar speech and it was the best, sweetest moment. Just a little tidbit about an Oscar winner who I can't imagine you will ever read a blind item about, unless it's a kindness blind :)
DeleteOh, that makes my heart so happy, I absolutely adore Christoph Waltz! He always looks like he absolutely loves his job and feels like the luckiest guy in the world. I have a serious older man crush on him! To me, he has always come across as a really humble and genuine guy. He's also an incredible actor. I mean, in Inglourious Basterds he was playing a Nazi but still managed to be really charming! Love him!
DeleteRight, Lux? I have such an older man crush on him, too, haha. And he is just totally genuine, grateful and an all-around wonderful guy!
DeleteNice to hear about some genuinely nice people for a change. Christoph Waltz is such a great actor. Woody has been so underrated. I hope True Detective's success will help him get the juicy roles he deserves. Mac has been killing everything he's done in the past few years. The guy's a powerhouse. But his Rust Cohle is the most memorable and hottest character ever. Can't believe we'll never see him again.
ReplyDeleteHow does Mac stay in such great physical shape if he drinks so much?
Yeah, Sadie, I am always more impressed by the genuinely nice people in Hollywood, because they are more few and far between. I am always super disappointed when I meet, or my Dad or I work with someone that I really liked before and they end up being awful. I like to tell the good stories because even though the juicy stuff is fun, the truly good-hearted people are much more fun IMO. Mac probably cuts down when he needs to, but he's always looked good, and it's so much easier for most guys to stay in good shape than it is for women. I am in major diet /working out mode right now for a movie I am doing in China in a few weeks (it's a B-movie, which is mostly what I do, so nothing super exciting- my Dad works on much bigger films, but I still gotta look good as I will be scantily clad at times), and I do NOT like it and envy the men right now lol...although, things like CDAN serve as a good distraction for my hunger...HA. Plus, as Alec Baldwin says on 30 Rock 'Vodka is for rich women on diets,'...so straight-up vodka is a good choice for Mac to stay looking tip-top, I suppose!
DeleteDude has been waaaay out there, forever. But, he's basically a nice guy.
