Blind Items Revealed

March 2, 2010

This mainly famous for television actor used to be B list. I guess he is C list now. His fault really. Not because of acting but because of something else he did. Anyway, he is supposed to be and claims to be on the straight and narrow but that doesn't appear to be the case. Last week he jumped at the chance to hit on an underage girl and in a second episode offered another girl coke to have sex with him.

Andy Dick

  5. Wasn't he blamed for another comedians death? I think Andy Dick gave the guy's wife some drugs, and she lost it and killed him and herself. Another comedian confronted him about and they got a fight. I'm sorry, this happened a little before my time and I can't remember names...off to google I go.

    3. FSP, I didn't know about that. Lovitz actually threw down on him?

    4. Yes! Forget google, you guys were faster hehe.

Apparently Brynn Hartman had been sober for ten years, when at a Christmas party Andy Dick gave her some coke and she fell off the wagon. About five months later, while coked out, she shot Hartman and herself. John Lovitz blamed Andy Dick, and have exchanged words over the years. In '07, Lovitz smashed Dick's face onto a bar about 5 or 6 times.

    7. Jon Lovitz claimed Phil's ghost was following Andy... honestly he's just as nuts as Andy is, but meaner and less funny.

    8. That's so sad! I loved Phil Hartman, was devastated when I heard. And I love Jon Lovitz, although the crazy tag doesn't surprise me

    10. Huh, surprised Lovitz so physical. Saw andy dick on celeb rehab, and altho he tries, really tries, he really is nutty and loves sex and drugs.

  8. He was blamed for that? I had no idea.
I know she was drugged out of her mind but no idea he was the one who (supposedly) gave them to her.

RIP Phil, what a talented guy.

  11. Thanks for the recap Meli!
Steam, I know. I was actually in a doctors office when I heard (why they had the radio tuned to news I don't know)
Then I was listening to Paul Harvey a couple of days later and his "the rest of the story" ended with her name. It was about the wife of a famous man who was begging to get into a certain rehab and they told her there weren't enough beds, she needed to wait a week.

That wasn't just the rest of the story, that was the end of the story.

    1. No problem! I love when you guys do that, and this time I knew some of it.

  12. If I was Hartman's ghost, Dick is the least of those I would haunt. The demons he has already would make it a crowd.

Foley would want to check under his bed, though.

I never heard that about the Hartmans, Phil was a genius. That is precisely the way I feel about the guy that got my ex back on coke though...I mean, there are people who have damaged me in childhood that I hold far less revulsion for than this pusher creep, I might go Jon Lovitz on him if I ever see him. Andy Dick seems like a hopeless case...

  14. I thought Andy Dick liked dick

  15. Andy Dick is bi, plus he'd hump a knot hole in a board, and probably has.

Jon Lovitz is an acquired taste. I grew up watching him and I find him hilariously funny. His comedy is along the same vein as Mel Brooks (another great).

  16. Andy Dick was also connected to another death. He, Jason Bateman, and David Strickland spent a day on a coke-fueled party/bender, then Jason Bateman left and David Strickland and Andy Dick continued partying. The next morning David Strickland had hung himself in his hotel room. The last person with him was Andy Dick. Not saying it wasn't suicide, just wishing someone else could have been there to help David get through his breakdown, because partying with Andy Dick sure didn't help.

I don't think Jon Lovitz said the ghost of Phil Hartman was following Andy Dick, the way I heard the story at the time is that when they saw each other at the club, Andy told Jon he was putting the "Phil Hartman Hex" on him, and that he'd be the next to die, and that's when Jon lost it and beat Andy up.

Much earlier, when Jon joined the Newsradio cast after Phil's death, Andy Dick had the gall to tell him he wasn't funny and shouldn't be there. Jon said [paraphrasing], You're right I shouldn't. Phil should. Needless to say, they never got along.

  17. AND THERE'S MORE.
Chris Farley had also gotten straight, but started using again while hanging out with Andy Dick, and died a few months later.
Relapses are common in addiction, but Andy seems to be someone coaxing people back through the door they are trying to close behind them, and it hasn't ended well for a few of them.

  18. I doubt that Andy held anybody down and forced them to take drugs. He's been a known tweaked forever - this isn't news. He's not the sort of person you want to hang around if you're trying to get or stay sober. I get tired of hearing people trying to stick the blame for these kind of things on others as if the addict (the one that died) had nothing to do with it. Andy's an addict too so how can anyone think he's gonna do the responsible thing? There comes a point where you have to take responsibility for your own actions. It could have just as easily been another Hollywood head with some blow. If you have a drug problem you're trying to kick are you going to hangout with Lilo? Nope! Suck it up and take responsibility for your own choices and the consequences. (Longtime lurker here).
