Blind Item #7

This B- list mostly television actress is going to drop to a C if she doesn't get some work that doesn't involve Broadway soon. That long running network comedy she was on will only keep her at B list for so long. Over the weekend she yelled at a pap. Not for taking her photo (which she loves) but because he took it from an angle which she felt didn't show off all the plastic surgery she recently had to try and get younger roles.

    Chenowith for sure.

  4. When you have a heinous haircut like KChen, the angle of the photo won't help.

  5. That is one creepy ass gif @kristen!

  6. i LOVE the gif.

What I don't love is the implication that Glee is a long-running comedy.

Is five years long-running? Maybe. But is she long-running if she's only been in five episodes in as many years? Hmm...

    1. I agree Sprink- not sure glee fits but Glee is what has made Chenoweth's career. If not for Glee, only broadway fans would even know her name, and most of america would have no idea who she is. All her appearances on talk shows are directly related to her limited spots on Glee. She has made a lot off of those five episodes.

  7. @texas, Chenoweth had her own show, Pushing Daisies. Cancelled too early because "Dancing with the Stars" is more fun than esoteric humour.

    1. Seven - I didn't even know that Thanks. I should have wiki'ed her.

    2. No, Pushing Daisies was canceled because the people running ABC are & were idiots & the other networks were in their, "we don't want any flops from somebody else" crap, even though at that time, NBC was so desperate for scripted programming, that's why Leno got the 10PM disaster. They had nothing to run there, except they also canceled "Life" with Damian Lewis.
All the TV nets are run by fools, who only keep their jobs because the crap they put on makes so much money even when it flops!

    3. @Becca, I was being sarcastic. I couldn't agree with you more.

Fun fact: THIS is the reason ala carte program doesn't exit. Politics are the reason we can't get single channel without buying a huge package of 57k channels.

  8. I've only ever seen her in Good Christian Bitches. It was fun but didn't last.

  14. I see this as more of Lea Michele.

  15. I hope this isn't Martha Plimpton (long-running show: "Raising Hope"; numerous Broadway credits), because I've always liked her.

  16. @texas rose, Chenoweth also did West Wing. Conservative advisor, I think she was. Talked a mile a minute. Funny. It introduced her to a wholly different audience from those who have now seen her on Glee.

  17. I was thinking Lea

    1. She was my first though, too. I just didn't want to put it out there because I love Megan Mullally and would be devastated if this was her.

She has also done plenty of cameos and recurring roles on TV lately. Tammy 2 on Parks & Rec and various voice roles on Bob's Burgers.

  20. I've never watched Glee, for some reason I HATE Lea Michelle... I heard her cover an Adele song on Pandora. SO horrible. Anyway, I like the Katie Holmes guess, was Dawsons Creek a comedy?

  21. Sounds like someone who was a regular on a sitcom who is known for her Broadway work, in which case I'll guess Jane Krakowski. Chenowwith is just a guest star on Glee, no?

  24. Just saw Chenowith on Say Yes to the Dress and I kind of liked her although I also think her life sounds kind of sad. She seems like one of those people who suck at normal life and can only get away with being the way they are if they are rich and famous. She is the definition of barely B-list for me because I have never watched a single project of hers and she seems to always be on something cancelled. I think she is one of those late90's types the way you might describe Jeneanne Garofolo or Pam Anderson as one of those early90's types. Her style and character is so specific to late90's - early2000's booming-economy NYC glitz like Kelly Ripa or Sex and the City and Legally Blonde. She is to this time period what Loni Anderson was to late70's-early80's and we all know Loni Anderson disappeared and married Burt Reynolds in some perfect Jimmy Buffet- area of Florida. Chenowith should marry Chris Noth and buy a penthouse apartment and host Tonys parties.

  25. @Seven & Becka - don't you think Lee Pace could be this generation's Jimmy Stewart?? He captured me on Pushing Daisies, great show
