Blind Item #7 - Kindness
This late night talk show host doesn't get much press but he is incredibly funny. He is also generous. He paid for the conversion of a van for the father of a staffer on his show who was paralyzed. He also paid for the refitting of the house to make it accessible. Nice touch.
The scot on after Letterman

ReplyDeleteYay kindness! Good one.
ReplyDeleteCraig Ferguson has been known to do stuff like this for years. Also, if you haven't read his memoirs ("American by Choice"), I *highly* recommend it. It's very funny but, after reading about his past addictions, it's amazing he is still alive.
ReplyDeleteYesss
DeleteAgree Ferguson
ReplyDeleteSorry, the book is "American on Purpose" (not "by Choice.")
ReplyDeleteI think he's sexy, which might be unrelated.
ReplyDeleteThanks, @StewMcG. Craig is awesome and I'm glad to hear he does stuff like this regularly!
ReplyDeleteFerguson.
ReplyDeleteLove that man.
Gotta be Craig... His autobiography's good, but I find his novel amazing!
ReplyDeleteYep Craig Ferguson automatically came to mind.
ReplyDeleteI hope he gets Dave's spot, but it is sounding like he will be passed over.
SEXY SCOT singing Oops I Did It Again. <3 Craig
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of autobiography, Judy Greer wrote one that just came out called "I Don't Know What You Know Me From: Confessions of a Co-Star" and it's very funny. At one point she talks about never having believed in Santa Claus & how she missed out on the moment when she would have learned there is no Santa. "I didn't get that milestone, so now I have to rely on celebrity divorces for that kind of shock and betrayal". The chapter I'm about to start is titled "My First Pube". Later I'm looking forward to the chapter "Celebrities I've Peed Next To".
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really funny, @lazyday. Should be on every good CDaNer's Christmas list:)
DeleteI love her, thanks for the heads up!
DeleteI really wish her starring roles had worked out, she's great and deserves her own show.
Such a thoughtful gesture.
ReplyDeleteAs great as it is to read his autobiography, the audiobook version is even more wonderful. His read is so entertaining. Get the unabridged version, of course.
ReplyDeleteFor all the hoopla over the other late night guys in recent years, Craig has always quietly been the best.
