Blind Item #5

This former A list mostly television actress who used to be on a hit network show and has since spent her career mainly in blind items while shooting really bad movies is telling friends she is pregnant. Her problem is that she doesn't know if it is her co-star or the producer from her latest movie who got her pregnant.

  2. Not Heigl again? Probably would have mentioned that she's married.

  5. Enty is like the gossip Easter bunny, leaving us a trail of little brown nuggets to seek out, collect and digest.

  8. Mischa Barton. The O.C. was on Fox, she was in many blind items, and her films go direct to video.

  9. Seriously, folks it's not to difficult to avoid getting pregnant.
    A) take a little pill each day. Take said pill at the same time time every day.
    B) Use a condom every time.
Take your pick. I have no sympathy for women that accidentally get pregnant. I'm not sure how it happened. Really, really, this is absolute bullshit. This is not the 1940's. End of rant.

    1. Chris J: Because of the wonderful anonymity the internet affords me, I'll share a secret of mine that most people in my life don't know. At 21, I got pregnant. I was on birth control, but I'm extra paranoid so my bf and I also used the withdrawal (withdraw?) method. Seemed like overkill at the time, yet I wound up unhappily pregnant. I think I might have missed a day on my birth control pills, or didn't take them at the exact same hour every single day? I'm not even sure how my stupid body managed to sneak it past me. Beat myself up for years. Still shit on myself for it whenever I remember the anniversary of my abortion looming on the calendar.

But the point is, sometimes accidents happen, even when you're being smart. I don't beat the shit out of myself for it anymore, but I definitely haven't gotten over it. Oh well, one day I'll be able to afford therapy. Until then, fuck me I guess.

    2. Don't beat yourself up. You sound like your a responsible, intelligent, put together woman.
So please do not take my rant personally. I certainly never meant to hurt anyone or bring up bad memories. My apologies.
I guess I just get sick of hearing about the absolute lack of responsibility some take for there actions. i e. If your going to bang two guys protect yourself.

    3. Chris J: Thank you :) I get frustrated too with all these teen moms on MTV who talk about how they didn't use any protection because they didn't think they'd get pregnant. I want to slap them. But it also makes me wonder how many people actually used a form of birth control and still wound up pregnant. There's probably a lot of people keeping that info to themselves. Weirdly, making that confession to a bunch of strangers over the internet actually felt good, though I'm not sure why. A little free therapy on my Tuesday morning, so thanks :)

    4. I too hold on to guilt. I am learning to let it go and just forgive the the naive younger me that really only had so much experience to work with. I hope you have a beautiful rest of day:)

    5. Thanks, Chris J. Sometimes strangers on the internet make me feel closer to humanity in general :)

I hope you have a beautiful rest of the day, too!

    6. @vintage: I have a masters in public health and taught sex education at a University and got pregnant a year ahead of schedule. It happens, and you should not beat yourself up over it! Internet hugs to you my dear.

  13. This blind is BS. If a woman is banging a guy or several guys, she has access to genetic material to have the paternity test run without their knowledge. Now breaking the news that she was a dumbass and let some guy bang her without protection is the difficult part. I

If I were in the celebrity fast lane first I would get out of it. The best way seems to be the Clooney method which was/is to find a sexual superstar like a Stacy Keibler type and have her tested. The I would concentrate on her.

  14. Sounded like Jen Aniston until the part about her not knowing who the daddy is.

  15. Is it wrong that I want this to be Jennifer Anniston?

  16. Swimmers definitely still get through occasionally, no matter what the type of birth control you're using. Nothing is 100% foolproof, except abstinence I guess. Check the label on your condoms for warning. ;)

But agreed, for those people who aren't using birth control, pregnancy is not an "accident", and they shouldn't try and pass it off as such.

  17. @vintage princess @cris j hugs all around. have a good day.. shit happens to responsible people who are trying to do the right thing to.

  18. Not sure if this is accurate but I've been told some other medications may counteract the birth control pill - a good doctor should be telling you that so you are extra careful or just refrain from sex whilst on that med or find another med that doesn't have that effect. I seem to recall that antibiotics had this effect on a friend who got preggers on the pill. The doctor told her after the fact. Personally if you got a bad cold, can't see being in the mood for sex.

    1. Tina is correct. I worked in ob/gynnoffice for ten years, and we had at least 10 pregnancies due to taking antibiotics while on bco. Off topic, its pouring here. Think hubby will take me out for lunch or go get for me? It remains to be seen. He's downstairs right now workng on something, so cant ask now. Sigh.

  19. Vintage Princess, we share the same secret. Mine was because of antibiotics or taking the pill a bit late, never sure. Still feel guilty 30 years later and it is one my one huge regret in life even though I have 2 beautiful kids now. I have prayed for forgiveness and understand your pain. God bless you.

    1. anothergrayhare, thank you for sharing that. it makes me so happy to hear that you ended up with a beautiful family once you were ready for it. That's how I'd like to end up myself. I think it's safe to say that we've both punished ourselves enough. Time to figure out how to let that part go.

  20. Could be Jen A. *shrug*

On the flip side of the whole birth control thing, I spent almost two decades paying for the Pill before I found out I couldn't get pregnant. It still kinda pisses me off - I was reeeeally poor back in the day and did not need the expense!

  21. There is nothing to feel guilty about in ending an unplanned, unwanted pregnancy when you aren't ready or able to be a parent. Give yourselves a break.

  22. Some women's bodies are prone to overcoming all birth control medication obstacles. My sister in law even had an IUD and still got pregnant (she had medical issues). Abstinence is the only fool proof method unfortunately.

  23. I had TWO pregnancies on the pill. Lost one, the other is 24. It happens. Nothing to feel guilt over.
