Blind Item #3
This former A list mostly movie actress who was really close to A+ at one point while doing a franchise has slipped to mostly doing indies. Part of the problem is her drinking. She also recently lost her boyfriend who finally threw in the towel after he caught her cheating again following a booze soaked night of partying.
This has been Kiki for like ten years now
ReplyDeleteThis is really sad. She and I are about the same age-she's a year older-and she was so talented and really on the come up in the 90's actor set back in the day. (Remember Crazy/Beautiful?) Although I have to say, I am a HUGE fan of Indie films above all other types of movies because they allow actors to be so raw and real in ways you've never seen before or thought they were capable of (think Kate Walsh in Angel's Crest or Ellen Barkin in Another Happy Day-both are so, so good and totally unexpected) so for Enty to suggest that her working mostly in that genre now is indicative of some sort of fall from grace is ridiculous. Most mainstream actors only wished they had the talent or gumption to pull off those parts without all the bells & whistles to hide their lack of skill! In fact, the last thing I saw Kiki in was in the Indie Melancholia and my God was she FANTASTIC. Best performance I've ever seen her give. No doubt she's had some troubles though...
DeleteIf it looks like a Dunst, drinks like a Dunst, and cheats like a Dunst, then it probably is a Dunst.
ReplyDeleteI love indies, therefore "slipped to doing mostly indies" makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteFewer explosions, actual characters, a plot, what's not to love?
Smaller paychecks.
DeleteKate Bosworth? Was she A? I see this more being Kiki.
ReplyDeleteshe was never higher than b-
DeleteIt's called Method Acting.
ReplyDeleteSheesh, no appreciation for talent these days.
Its Kiki time
ReplyDeletedunst is a good guess. this also makes me think of emma roberts.
ReplyDeleteHow the hell do you cheat on Garrett? I want that man to read me lullabies.
ReplyDeleteK-Stew
ReplyDeleteRemember that blind revealed where she slept with a whole band and some people were guessing Nickleback as the band? ROTFL
ReplyDeleteKStew is with the ladies now.
ReplyDeleteDerek!!! You're back!
ReplyDeletehey Jessi xo
ReplyDeleteDunst.
ReplyDeletebosworth was never higher than b- not kiki
ReplyDeleteSeems dunst just cannot beat the bottle, its like she has been drunk all her life
ReplyDeleteI can't agree more regarding indie film, @PJ.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be Kiki. Good to see you again, Derek!
ReplyDeleteMelancholia is a beautiful film - cinematography, music, and acting all superb.
ReplyDeleteAgain and always KiKi Dunst
ReplyDeleteKiki is such an AMAZING actress, IMO. I've always thought so. She was my favorite when I was a teenager, and people would always tell me I reminded them of her all the time. I danced competitively as a teen, and a multiple times on the judges tapes they said something like 'You have amazing presence, you remind me of Kirsten Dunst.' haha...I always thought it was a great compliment because acting in your face is such a huge part of dance, and she kind of became my inspiration. Now people are like 'Eww..she's a gross snaggle tooth!'...and that makes me sad, but just goes to show how when you are a mess people's perception changes. I remember watching an interview with some director that said that you can literally see her transform into another person when she steps in front of the camera, just in her face...which I can totally see. I always thought she would go on to be much more successful than she has been, but obviously the drinking is a factor.
ReplyDeleteContrary to Lindsay, even though she is a mess, I would not mind seeing Kiki getting some bigger roles...maybe it would force her to pull it together a bit. At least she isn't out there pretending to be something she isn't like Lindsay...plus, she can actually act.
I've had Melancholia on my Netflix queue for a while, maybe I will watch it today.
What franchise was Kiki in?
ReplyDeleteKirstin Dunst was in Spiderman with Tobey Maguire but they fired her.
ReplyDeleteSpiderman as the franchise. I liked her in Eternal Sunshine..
ReplyDeleteShe always had that look like she'd be fun in the sack, guess my spidey senses tingled correctly
Melancholia is a great film, I thought I would hate it but it is so gorgeous on so many levels and Kiki is great in it...
ReplyDeleteEvery time I hear of Kirsten Dunst, I think of the time I was walking down St. Catherine's Street in Montreal and was crossing the road. A blonde lady smiled at me (which stood out since nobody really smiles on the street in Montreal! LOL). I thought she looked familiar but didn't stop. I went to Starbucks and the guy at the counter was raving that he had just served Kirsten Dunst. That's who smiled at me on the street.
ReplyDeleteI really like Kiki Drunkst. She needs to get her crap together, ASAP
ReplyDeleteYou will never make me hate Kiki!
ReplyDeleteKiki, I really like her.
ReplyDeleteShe should do more comedy!
Two of my favorite comedies have Kiki in them... Dick and Drop Dead Gorgeous (including Allison Janney!)
Yes! I love Drop Dead Gorgeous! So many good performances in that movie - Allison Janney, Ellen Barkin, Brit Murphy, etc.
DeleteDDG and Sugar & Spice are two really underrated comedies from the 00's that I love and could watch over and over again.

ReplyDeleteThis is the easiest blind ever. Poor Kiki. I like her but I think she is doomed.
