Blind Item #3
This A list mostly television actor is A list because of his role. It is unique, but he still gets classified as A list. Everyone knows his role. He went off on a waiter at a restaurant this week for getting his order wrong and chewed the guy out while our actor's wife tried to get him to calm down. He then started in on his wife for interrupting him.
Well it's not particularly nice behaviour but I've heard worse. More interesting is the uniqueness of the A lister's role (if I can sum up any enthusiasm for such a dull blind).
ReplyDeletewell i might have said Keifer for this one but he's not married....
ReplyDeletecranky ass-I can't stand when people abuse waiters
Keifer is sooooo nice. One of the few Hollywood guys who's not an a-hole, sober or drunk
DeleteIs this implying someone like Mads Mikkelsen who plays Hannibal Lecter? Everyone knows that role, but I had no idea what the guy's name was.
ReplyDeleteI think he's mostly movies and he's awesome!!!
DeleteI'm stumped. Unique is throwing me off.
ReplyDeleteBrian Cranston?
ReplyDeleteI would say Aaron Paul or Bryan Cranston, because it is unique that they are both A list. But they both seem so nice, especially Aaron Paul.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Peter Capaldi, the new Doctor in Doctor Who?
ReplyDeleteNoooooooooo stopppppp itttttttt. Lol
DeleteBozo
ReplyDeleteAre you hassling the Hoff?
ReplyDeleteDamn, Karen! You're firing on all 12 cylinders today. Great guess.
ReplyDeleteNo she's only on 11 because that guess is unacceptable!!! Lollz
DeleteAlec Baldwin
ReplyDeleteI'll go with Jason Momoa/Khal Drago which is still a reoccurring role/Lisa Bonet for the wife
ReplyDelete@Charlie, it seems like I get lucky on these guesses all at once with huge dry spells in between.
ReplyDeleteThere's gotta be a joke about somebody's love life in what I just wrote.
Ummmmmm..... yeah.
DeleteI once went on a date with a guy who seemed nice but you know what they say - watch how they treat service people, and you'll see their true colors. Douchelord snapped at a waitress for interrupting us talking (how dare she ask if we'd like to order!) and then made a show of complaining about the food, the service, the drinks, etc., all the while trying to be Mr Charming when he talked to me.
ReplyDeleteNever did find my way back from the bathroom.
I dated that guy too, but unfortunately came back from the bathroom. It wasn't but a couple of months before he was talking to me like crap. I left him in a parking lot yelling my name as I walked away.
DeleteBryan would never
ReplyDeleteDinklage?
ReplyDeleteMaybe she didn't see him? Totes not her fault.
DeleteKramer
ReplyDeleteI don't see it being Peter Capaldi. By all accounts, I've seen him being incredibly kind and nice to fans, so I don't see him going off on a waiter, especially in public. And I wouldn't classify Capaldi as A-list, in this country, anyway.
ReplyDeleteSo....I'm going to guess William Shatner.
Thank you Voice of Reason!
DeleteMads has done a ton of movies, sure mostly foreign but still not mostly TV. So I don't think it's him. Of course Enty doesn't know foreign films!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Capaldi is mostly movie, not mostly TV, and why would fake Enty #xx have scoop from across the pond?
ReplyDeleteI like the Shatner guess. He seems nice to other celebrities, but not necessarily someone nice to regular people.
Sounds like Baldwin to me! Agree w/Jenny....
ReplyDelete@RonMotta, I'd agree that Capaldi isn't A list--the wording implies that the star of Doctor Who is A list no matter who it is. If it's him, of course.
ReplyDeleteGrrrrr
DeleteI change my guess to Brian from Breaking Bad... Didn't pay enough attention to the unique role and everyone knows him for it...
ReplyDeleteGood for you Seven. Everyone should HAVE to wait tables to understand how to treat people in general, but absolutely in the service industry.
ReplyDeleteI think this is ALEC
Ok, back to the dull blind just to say no way on God's earth is it Peter Capaldi. He is lovely (I have it on good authority - my own, just because) and he is very well known (here at least) for many more roles than just Dr Who. The Thick of It anyone?
ReplyDeleteAnd Peter Capaldi was in dangerous liasons (bestest movie ever) the dr would never.
DeleteI love The Thick of It. Dropped a Tucker-ism on someone today and they couldn't stop laughing.
Deletehe was great in The Musketeers too.
Bryan would never. Jason Mamoa isn't doing a recurring role that I am aware of. He pretty much died it seems and haven't seen any flashbacks to him.
ReplyDeleteDon't know Dr.Who but Violet says no.
Hate to say The Shat but it could be.
And yeah, when you're an asshole to a service person you die and go to hell and wait tables for eternity.
Not Mads. He's separating from his wife, and from what I've heard, in the doghouse in the US for making a drunken ass of himself at the Golden Globes. He's likely on his best behavior in public.
ReplyDeleteooh he's getting a divorce??? what did he do at gg?? dish please!!! i need deets!! i guess i have to put him on google stalk alerts now
Delete:) Sherry
ReplyDeleteKelsey Grammer. Unique because he played the same role on 2 shows for 20yrs.
ReplyDeleteoh yes ASS inserted is his known role on every show.. good guess count.. i can always rely on @count ftassist
DeleteI could see this as Mads because of the role and "chewed the guy out". I hope it's not Cranston - I've never heard anything bad about him. Kelsey Grammar could be - Frasier is a 20-year-long role and he's definitely a jerk in real life.
ReplyDeleteI'd say Kelsey Grammer?
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston is supposedly a really nice guy.
ReplyDeleteJason seems like a pretty chill dude, can't see this being him.
ReplyDeleteBut if he's been a bad boy and needs punished....
MAGNUM P.I! a/k/a Tom Selleck
ReplyDeleteCould it be someone who provides a voice but doesn't actually appear on the show? I'm thinking someone like Dan Castellaneta who is the voice of Homer Simpson (although I know nothing about him, just throwing him out as an example).
ReplyDeleteIt's not Cranston. He wouldn't treat a waiter or his wife like that. Nicest guy you'll ever know.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Dempsey.
how can someone be A list that i've never heard of. i get the 'role' part. but he says 'A list actor' so shouldn't i have heard of him??
ReplyDeleteAgree nancer - certainly not capaldi?? or mads guy.
DeleteHugh Laurie-House
ReplyDeleteDon Draper (except that lady isn't his wife, just a long time partner)
ReplyDeletePeter Dinklage - His role on Game of Thrones is truly unique, high-profile and also won him a Golden Globe, making him A list.
ReplyDeleteI think Jon Hamm, fits as a good guess.
ReplyDeleteHamm is not married.

DeleteWhat about Seinfeld? Unique, because he is playing himself, so not really acting? He can be a jerk.
ReplyDeleteTo those who guessed Brian Cranston or even Aaron Paul.... Couldn't be farther from the truth. I have seen Brian out several times, and he seems like the most unassuming kind person. He doesn't act "famous" or have any airs that anyone might recognizes. He blends in and is super pleasant. Aaron is as sweet and humble as they come.
