No More Jennifer Hudson And Weight Watchers

I think Weight Watchers is making a huge mistake by not trying harder to get Jennifer Hudson back on board. The two have parted ways with Jennifer saying she is moving on to other things. Whether she has come up with her own line of products she wants to sell or just couldn't agree on money with the company or if the company just wants Jessica Simpson and nobody else, I think this is a mistake for everyone. Yes, Jessica Simpson looks great in her ads but the world gets tired of having Jessica Simpson force fed to us. We like Jessica in small doses. We love her in small doses. We get really tired of her really quickly when she is always on and her commercials are always on. I think Weight Watchers really came into its own when they transformed Jennifer Hudson. It was Jennifer losing all that weight and winning the Academy Award and they all timed together perfectly and Jennifer is considered a "regular" person because she started off on Idol. She is someone who made it big on her own by sheer talent. She struggled with weight as a real person and used the product and ideas to lose weight and then succeeded. I think that is a great story. When I see Jessica I see someone who lost weight for a paycheck. She looks great, but she did it for the money.

  2. I would just like to thank the world that I will never have to listen to "I'VE GOT THE POWER" 15 times in an hour. I have nothing against her but that was so very annoying.

    3. Amen. I got to the point where whenever I saw Mimi or Jennifer, I changed the channel to avoid the screeching.

  3. I think Jennifer is tired of everyone watching what she orders when she eats out.. has to be annoying.

  4. no one believes Jessica simpson lost the weight with weight watchers. laser lipo . Adderall. etc.

  5. I think she will always be linked to WW's in folks minds. Like MISCH said, she's kept it off for years now so I'm thinking it was probably a $$ thing.

  6. TBH, none of these people make me want to use their product.

  7. It must have been Jennifer's choice. They would be nuts not to use her for their ads. She has kept the weight off, successfully and safely. Everyone knows Jessica's weight is a constant problem that she's always pummeling away at.

  8. Agree with enty, hudson was excellent rep of WW. Maybe with jessica WW going for young kjnd of country crowd?

  9. just a question: what does Jennifer Hudson now? i only saw her in SEX AND THE CITY movie since her oscar

  10. Can't believe they dropped her, but those ads are annoying! Loud too.

WW probably has a new celeb lined up already...they have used JHud & JSimp for at least a few years now

  12. Enty, that is a solid, well formulated argument. I never see their ads and wouldnt be in the group for which those ads would be marketed, so I guess that automatically discounts my opinion but I wouldn't be interested personally in seeing Jennifer in those ads. I think her music sucks. Her voice singing or talking makes my ears hurt. I shit you not. I don't think shes pretty either. Put beyonce in that ad without talking or singing and yeah I might watch it. Jennifer needs to go away imo. Far far away..

  13. Put the real people using the products back in the ads. It just makes more sense.

  14. I loved her in the ads, but I just love Jennifer Hudson. I don't care about all the cunty things she does behind the scenes.

I like Jennifer Hudson, but those Weight Watcher commercials with her sounding like a bawling heifer were annoying as hell. She lost weight, and has a beautiful figure, so why couldn't they focus on that instead of having her warbling.

  16. Her performance in SATC was painful to be watch. Actually, the whole movie was.

  17. There must be another fat celebrity out there they can sign up. Or maybe a skinny celebrity that could gain weight and lose it in return for a nice contract. Based on Enty's list of today, it looks like 50 Cent or Ashley Tisdale might be available.

  18. She needs to focus on her acting or singing. Not this cheesy crap. She is an Oscar winner and people forget that cause of these silly commercials and her awful movie choices as of late~

  19. i have never cared for weight watchers
    doesnt matter who reps it
have ordinary people on and their stories it will have same effect

  20. She had lap band surgery. Period. Weight watchers didnt help her lose not an iota of a pound. Being the spokesperson for her surgeon would be more accurate. How many people do you know that lost weight with 'diet and excerise' have NO muscle tone? Jennifer doesn't work out. Ever. Or diet. She's a surgery baby. And weight watchers gets rid of people constantly, Jennifer isn't special. And she's a a pain in the ass to work with.

  21. Eros: I am with you on this one. Her singing drives me around the bend. Can't someone tell her to sing softly for just one line? A little build up? Good gawd that screaming is horrid.

And I guess we get two helpings of Jessica in "small doses".

Jennifer dings like she's being chased with a machete or being set on fire. I can't take it.

    2. Lmao @ Sherry and Hollywood dime fricken hilarious and couldn't agree more.

People are crazy about her singing and I don't get it. She's probably a nice lady but that godaweful singing has to go.

  22. I don't really think any of them lose weight on the products they are hyping.......

personal trainers. personal chefs.....and personal assistants. that's how they lose weight.

  23. I think her commercials got old. If she stayed longer people would think she's the only one WW ever worked for (which may be about right).

  24. I just can't with JS, dumb people make me stabby.

  25. I think that Pimp Mama Kris got Rob K. a deal with WW. That ia why she was fattening him up. Great move if it turns out to be true. Men haven't had a weightloss role model since Jarad from Subway.

  26. I don't think it really matters that they got rid of her or she got rid of them. Weight Watchers has huge name recognition. They'll find a new pitchman or woman. Companies do it all the time.

My mother is a lifelong Weight Watcher. Kind of. She still goes and gets weighed in. She's so thin the staff tell her to stop coming back. But I guess going to get weighed in every week is her motivation to not gain an ounce.

I still have nightmares about WW's cabbage soup and scales.

  27. I think Jennifer is going back to singing - there was a blind possibly about her being blacklisted, but it seems that she just did a duet with TI and I think this means she's going to be doing music soon.

  28. Weren't there blinds here about JH having lap band surgery?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I can't stand Chestica Simpson and those commercials.

    They need a new spokesperson.

And Jennifer needs to grow her hair - her jaw looks enormous with this pixie cut.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I thought it was pretty common knowledge that JHud got surgery to lose weight?

    1. I believe she did. Usually people who have been heavy all their lives have a harder time keeping it off and usually fluctuate a little. She has pretty much remained the same size since her surgery and didn't seem to have a hard time with it.

  31. I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate Jennifer. Hudson. I hate her. Hate.

  32. Weight watchers doesn't work quickly, that's the point of it, it's a lifestyle change. JH dropped her weight in record time, that was not natural weight loss.

She'll pull a Star Jones in a few years and finally admit she had weight loss surgery.

And yes, agree with all, tv quickly went on Mute whenever I saw her commercials. I had no opinion of JH before those commercials, can't look at her now without cringing. Perhaps why JH dropped them? Lol

  33. I will say that back in the day, when I lost most of my weight, I chose Weight Watchers partially because Fergie was the spokesperson, so I absolutely say that whoever is repping for them will have impact. Jennifer Hudson was a good role model, and I also strongly disagree with assuming she had surgery because of how quickly she lost the weight. I know someone that may or may not be me that lost 150 lbs in 10 months. On WW. Under a doctor's supervision. So it can and does happen.

  34. I'm so happy that so many of you hate Jennifer Hudson's SINGING IN ALL CAPS!!1!!!!!

That big movie where she won the Oscar... I really like her and I liked the movie, but I couldn't take that belting out high notes non-stop. For the rest of the day I had to put the TV on mute, couldn't take any more sound. And I was just watching at home; how could anyone survive seeing that in a theatre?

Seriously... when your singing style makes listeners daydream about copying Vincent Van Gogh, take it down a notch!

Oh and yea I'm totally with everyone who says 'Lap Band' for Jennifer.

  37. Jennifer also brought many of her family members to WW and they lost weight together. That's commitment to the program and a better endorsement than Jessica could ever give. Plus Jennifer is smart and talented. Jessica is... not so much.
