I'm not sure how they will pay for it, but if it does happen then Miami will be gone for sure and it wouldn't shock me to see OC take a one year break. There is a lot of buzz right now about Kelly Bensimon and Bethenny Frankel returning to Real Housewives. They are mortal enemies which guarantee ratings and the franchise needs a big boost in some city to keep waning interest flagging. New York almost didn't even get aired this time around but the producers want to keep it because it is currently the least expensive to shoot. That would change. Kelly and Bethenny are asking about quadruple what a regular Housewife would get paid. There is talk they would only have to actually hang out together a few times and those of course would be what you would end up seeing because they both know what their roles would be. It is an interesting idea but would Bethenny take a step back? Kelly thinks she has a million other things going on but has jumped into the deep end with the conversation. Kelly might be back on board even if Bethenny doesn't come back, but Kelly wouldn't be able to get as much money per episode.
Poor Jill Zarin. She'd return for free.

ReplyDeleteCarol Radziwill told Andy Cohen about the rumors of Jill and Bethenny being asked to return (no mention of Kelly) on "Watch What Happens Live" last night. She said Aviva claimed Carol and Heather would be fired and Jill and Bethenny would take their places. The look on Andy's face was priceless. I don't think it's gonna happen. I do miss Krazy Kelly, though.
