Chris Brown Sentenced To Jail For A Month

Yesterday a judge in Los Angeles sentenced Chris Brown to jail for a month or until Brown's trial in Washington D.C. has been completed. If Chris is found not guilty then Chris will get out of jail. If a jury in D.C. finds him guilty of criminal assault then a probation violating hearing will be held here in LA and brown could go to jail for four years. It won't happen, but it is on the table. Brown was given multiple chances to stay out of jail and all he had to do was go to a rehab facility and hang out there. Instead he got kicked out of one and was given a second chance and was warned at that facility multiple times but still didn't listen and was eventually kicked out. Apparently Brown acted in a threatening manner to some staff and had sex with at least one female staffer and more wanted to have sex with him. There is no early release for Brown. He is in there for a month. An actual month. Not a Hollywood month. Not a Lindsay Lohan month. An actual month of jail. I think it has been since the famous Paris Hilton early release scandal that there has been a month long sentence to jail of a celebrity in a situation like this.

  5. That's good, right? Best we can hope for kind of thing? Although all I can see it doing is giving him a criminal record while not giving him long enough to actually learn anything. We're still calling it a win, I gather

  7. I guess Dingle, he has had so many chances it boggles the mind.
Justin Baggy Pants boy will probably get the same amount of chances, though I can't see it for him beating people up. Odds are drugs or him using a gun while on drugs.

These guys need a serious reality check.

  8. "Not a Hollywood month." Love this.

Maybe jail will humble him (probably not). First thing I noticed about this pic, is that the gaudy earrings and nose ring are gone.

  9. Another happy happy morning in snowland! The patio door is not frozen shut. Yay!!

What the hell kind of rehab is it where the staff are lining up to have sex with patients/clients? Is that part of the therapy? WTF?

    Hey TTM!

  10. Not to be a jerk, but a month isn't long enough to bring an awareness of consequences or the awareness that he needs help. That's just enough time to keep the persecution complex going. Shame, really.
Unfortunately, some people are very slow to mature.

  12. There's a slim chance of DC's judicial system doing anything more than slapping his wrist. What do you expect from a place that elected Marion "Bitch Set Me Up" Barry to a mayoral position after serving six months for getting caught with crack among other things.

  13. More disturbing than Chris Brown is the fact that multiple staffers wanted to have sexy times with him. What are the standards for hiring these people? Maybe the staffers in question are in food service or clean the facility. Not knocking those jobs - it's admirable work - but if you are trained in counseling people, wouldn't hopping in the sack with a patient violate every code you stand for?!?!

$10.00 could get me to stand in the line but not buy my vote, lol.
Inflation has not been kind, to elect Tammany Hall ,you got to drink as much beer as you could hold. Course, you had to vote often and in different costumes, but still...
Have we been reduced to 1 mixed drink for voter fraud?
      I say NO!
      Pony keg or Conscience!

  19. @Kristin, I've lived in the area (except for college) for the last 24 years. So...yes. :) In Northern VA.

  25. I'm not intending to disrespect people who work at rehab centers at all, but they tend to draw employees that have their own issues. The most effective drug counselors are typically people who have recovered from addiction, and while most are truly good, reformed people, the handful of whackadoos are inevitable. I'm sickened but in no way surprised as this is much more commonplace as usual. Some people abuse their power either to feel superior in some fucked up way, or they develop some unhealthy feelings out of some twisted sense of wanting to "save" a patient. Or this could be a straight up starfuck situation.

Either way, whoever these staffers are, they should never work in social services, and especially not with vulnerable people again! They are exploiting their power and harming patients they are supposed to be helping in the process. Sure CB is a total shithead, but I think people on here would be much more up in arms if it were male staffers exploiting a female patient.

  26. Hi all, Feral sticks head up & checks for snipers. All clear.

TTM, thanks for organising book club. Thank you to the poster who fired back at the troll in yesterday's post. I didn't re-read till late yesterday. We need to carry money for the bridge crossings.

Lady, I totally agree with you about the employees. Chris Brown broke other rules in rehab, so I don't have any sympathy for the situation he finds himself in. I think it is a shame he didn't take rehab seriously, that was a place that could have gone to someone who really wanted it.

  27. Hi TTM,
Don't know if you will see my reply. We had a troll post in the suicide post that they were thinking dark thoughts. A few of us posted really lovely, supportive comments, and the troll attacked every single person. So we have two trolls, and if you go back to the post you will see what I mean. Just brace yourself, it was pretty vile what they wrote. No damage done to me, just a head shake. One of the other posters picked that they may be attention seeking, but wrote something nice anyway, because that's how we roll at CDAN.
