Charlie Sheen Is Skipping Work Again

The last time Charlie Sheen skipped work because of drugs and booze and hookers Chuck Lorre and CBS dumped him. They had to pay him a lot of money first because of his huge contract, but they dumped him. So, Charlie, the wife beater/degenerate/drug addict/gambling addict/all around horrible person went on some type of live audience tour which sucked. FX saw promise in him though and gave him a ridiculous sum of money to come shoot 100 episodes of Anger Management. He only has about 30 episodes remaining to shoot and he will make even more money but the drugs and booze and porn stars and hookers and beatings are catching up to him and he has been skipping work again. When we last heard from Selma Blair she was complaining about Charlie's work ethic and she got fired from the show. I also think it is because she wouldn't sleep with him which is probably a wise move on her part considering she has children she wants to see through to her old age. Charlie has missed several days of shooting each week. Because of the way this whole thing needs to work to make money, they shoot two episodes a week which is a lot. Generally only one episode is shot per week and there are plenty of off weeks during a 26 episode season.

    I thought when we last heard from Selma she was sobbing on a bench for 20 minutes while a stranger held her baby? (Not grabbing the cliche, could swear that was the reveal).
    Charlie's manager person said he missed work last week (along with everyone else) because a cast member was sick. Who knows, though?

    So Enty just implied that sleeping with Sheen would shorten Selma's lifespan. Which means what? He has the Hi? I thought you NEVER outed people or disclosed medical issues, Entward?

      Lucas, i think enty judt meant his lifestyle is so unhealthy she cld pick uo anything from std to basic cold. I think we all can connect those dots.

      I think he's just assuming the same thing that we ALL are assuming given his open sexual history, that he probably has or has had every STD on the planet.

      It's not revealing someone's medical history to make snide catty remarks about what a man ho they are.

    He's usually able to get to work when he's with the hookers--because they leave/let him do his thing.
    Brett is digging her hooks in "no baby stay home with me today" because she thinks this makes her endearing to him, doesn't realize its damaging her potential income flow

    Its the arc of his illness, which seems like bipolar. He's in a manic phase now, acting out and ignoring any conventional mores. Next he will slowly melt down, lose the hooker, and praise denise again, and start going to work on time. That will last for a while as he slowly builds to his next manic phase.
    And, excuse me, his show runners are what? Perplexed? Annoyed? Because the one thing they shldnt be is SURPRISED!

      I agree with@auntliddy. he goes by alternating episodes like in a circle. drugs and booz can do that to your brain. he was best comic actor during 2and 1/2 men. Huge actor. More than that I can t say about him

    He didn't get fired for missing work, he got fired for being a complete and utter tool.

    Selma getting fired was the best thing that could have happened. I bet those bench tears were tears of relief. (Morning, Bacon! :D)

    I think we all speculated that she was overwhelmed by it all (the firing etc) another entern reveal had her sleeping with Chaz but deciding to give another go with her baby daddy, which also pissed him off.
    Then again she seems kind of nuts too.

    Oh he's def bi-polar. Exactly gonna go down as Aunt Licky suggested. Unless they just let him be and then there won't be any fireworks. He'll soon be back at work and the world will be none the wiser unless you hear about the inevitable fight with his new fiance.

    I wonder if people have a pay clause in their contracts. Like if someone gets sick and production is shut down they still get paid. Does anyone know if it works like that in some/any cases?

    I don't think Enty's implying that sleeping with Charlie would shorten her life, so much as that it would make it more probable that she would be barred from custody/contact with her children in any legal proceedings.

    I'll also point out that Enty's again reducing a human being, which a complex entity, to a cartoon.

    Charlie Sheen's also the generous guy who will hand out large sums of money to charities or individuals with problems, and also the guy who will stand up and call out anyone, including government agencies and judges, for what he believes is the best interests of his kids.

    People aren't all just one thing. It's wrong to reduce them to some simple label.

    The producers knew his history and supposedly protected themselves by back-ending his payments. I'm sure his management will move heaven and earth to complete the series and trigger the money. On Charlie the walking STD I'm not sure. It is tough to reconcile his purported sex life with the lack of lawsuits from anyone claiming he gave them an STD. Logically, if it was going to happen, it would have happened long before now.

    I thought it had been revealed, or alluded to, that Selma was fired because she refused to mule for Charlie on set. Honestly that wasn't the right gig for her, besides Charlie. She is a talented actress and I hated her character on that show. Also, I thought I had read here that they were bringing in more characters with bigger roles because Charlie had been using again big time for awhile and they knew it was just a matter of time before history repeated itself. I doubt they are surprised. What I am shocked about is how Charlie can function, remember his lines, and hit his mark, all while stoned out of his gourd. Damn, two beers and I'm ready for bed.

    Big surprise, Charlie's being irresponsible. He's a lot older now (a LOT - he's probably damaged his body to equal a 90 yo) and can't bounce back anymore. This should be interesting.
