Blind Items Revealed

December 4, 2013

This Academy Award winner/nominee mostly movie actress who is probably right at the bottom of her permanent B list status still has high name recognition. She was walking through the mall earlier this week when she stopped at a bench and sat down and cried for twenty minutes before finally getting herself together and moving on.

Renee Zellweger

  6. TTM that was a mom on the sidewalk who passed her baby to a stranger. Not to be confused with the singer who passed out on a sidewalk in view of strangers.

Aww Renee Z is good people. Fame is hard y'all!

  12. She's a hard one to figure out. Kind of think Renee isn't going to have too happy of a second half, if you know what I mean. And I don't think she did herself any favors with the face job - here's the before and after. For me, way prettier before, the squint was a big part of her appeal. Now, she's still pretty, but just kind of a bland, generic pretty, if that makes any sense.

  13. Can someone 'in the know' please explain what has happened to RZ, please? I feel like there is a story or narrative that insiders seem to know. She was at the top of her game...she seemed to be working all the time....then, there were a few bombs...and she was gone.

I loved her so much in Jerry Maguire and in Chicago..and also Cold Mountain.

What has brought her to this place where she seems to be banished from the film community and found crying on mall benches?

  15. I used to work at a military hospital and Renee Z was by far the most frequent and consistent celeb visitor. Every couple months she'd swing by and hang with the injured troops. Knew all their names, their wives, moms, etc. very generous and sweet. They loved her.

    PULL IT TOGETHER, LADY!

    1. And random. Took me a while to figure out why everyone had photos of her.

Not sure what's her deal is acting wise these days, but for the last 7 years she's been a hospital serial chiller. Go figure.

  20. Derek thanks for taking a sad song and making it funny.

  21. Harry the squint was indeed part of her charm. BUT it looked like it was maybe becoming so pronounced she may have had issues surrounding her vision. As a woman ages....sigh.

  22. I want to know what happened to her, too?! I was skeptical of her being hired to play Bridget Jones, but girlfriend won me over. She was spot on.

That's so sad that she was crying in the middle of the mall. That's so nice that she hung out with injured vets.

  23. That happens to a lot of women (not all) once in a while, especially at certain times - prob just before 'her friend' was coming to visit.

  24. I really don't find this much of a story. Girl got sad news or whatever.

    1. Agreed. People cry for all kinds of reasons. Maybe someone she cared about passed away.

  26. see now I kinda feel bad for her......

I used to like her cute squinty face and thought she had talent

that weird marriage seemed like it messed her up

  27. I know I've posted comments about this before, but: she's been producing and writing (Cinnamon Girls, though Lifetime didn't pick it up), the script for which she made a tidy sum. There was the movie about the stand-up comedian (I can NEVER remember the name of that one), but that one still says "in production". Now rumoured to be cast against Daniel Craig in The Whole Truth.

She's done work for the GREAT Initiative in Liberia and was patron for their Boodles bangle project.

There was that funny or die video: Job interview (late 2012)

I don't necessarily think she's not working because she can't get work--I think she's just been taking a break. Whatever was going on that day, hope it passed quickly.

  29. wasnt there a blind a while ago about an actress that was really sick and out of public for a while....and we all thought Renee...so maybe thats why she sort of disappeared and maybe she's still sick ?/

  31. I just don't buy these park bench/mall bench crying-jag blinds. I KNOW hard-core crying jags from depression/bipolar disorder, and even when you get one in public, you go to the restroom. You don't just sit there in the middle of the maddening crowd. (Plus, the odds are good that you're not even going out in public if you're THAT bad off.)

    Come ON.

  32. such a sensitive young lady

    ReplyDelete
  33. See, I just can't believe stories like this one. A SUPER recognizable, Oscar winning actress sat down and "cried for 20 minutes" in PUBLIC and though supposedly there's a story to tell about it, not a single person anywhere around took a pic or attempted to/did sell the story to any of the tabs? God knows they certainly report a lot less! I call total BS on this along with the recent "reveal" of Selma Blair supposedly handing off her child to a TOTAL STRANGER so she could "cry for 20 minutes" in public too. (There were suspiciously never any publications of that one either.)

  34. My mom handed me off to a total stranger once.
Her first time flying, it was a rough flight and she was a nervous wreck. Once the plane finally landed she handed baby LowKey to some random fellow and raced off the plane top speed. He had to chase her down to give me back.
    True story.

  35. There was a blind awhile ago about a celeb who had disappeared for awhile due to being in a psych ward. This is probably Renee. Hope she is feeling better!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I always thought " the stranger " was the nanny that had been hanging back/window shopping....

    ReplyDelete
  37. Maybe she had received some bad news, went for a walk to absorb it, couldn't help herself and broke down, then got up and went on with life. She's human. Shit happens, even to good souls.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Bottom of the B-List is hard y'all.....

  39. A few years back she did an interview where she sounded like she was going off the rails. She kept talking about how upsetting it was to be approached by fans and was like, "If I saw a celebrity, I would NEVER do that! I can't believe people would DO that!" like it was a terrible crime. I thought this was weird because she seemed pleasant in interviews until then. She mostly disappeared from the public eye shortly after. I dunno, it sounded like she was having issues.

Plus she was obviously completely drunk at the Oscars, which was extremely unprofessional and odd.

  40. She's a 44 year old actress in Hollywood with a string of bad relationships, no kids, an eating disorder and awful plastic surgery. I'd cry.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I agree with those that have said a something's happened to Renee. So sad. If this is true who knows why she was crying but be thankful if it's never happened to you. Don't doubt that it could happen to someone else for whatever reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Don't cry for Rene - net worth has her at $45 million. She may have been crying for joy after seeing the regular losers at the mall and thanking her lucky stars.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am guessing she caught a glimpse of her own reflection and like the rest of us, couldn't recognize herself.

I'm not a big fan of hers, although I have enjoyed some of the movies she has done, but reading this makes me sad for her.

I love The Zell, hope she makes something soon.
