This very pretty sometime model/B list singer/celebrity who has managed to come up with another very big hit song was on a flight yesterday when a 7 or 8 year old girl walked up to the singer and said that the singer was the girl's favorite singer and could she please have an autograph and photo. The singer, who was just playing on her iPad, told the little girl that she didn't sign autographs or pose for photos unless she is required to by her record label and that the little girl would probably just sell it on ebay and to leave her alone.
Lana Del Rey
Love Lana, pfff off kid!
ReplyDeleteWhy should she care what anyone does with her autograph or photo...who cares.
ReplyDeleteso she spent more time explaining why she wouldn't sign it instead of taking the 0.0001 seconds to sign a piece of paper. That nobody will care about in 10 years.
ReplyDeleteScratch that, 1 year from now.
Is there a TV show being shopped of little kids being blown off by celebrities? Or is someone just randomly following little kids around to see who they approach? HIGHLY doubt Ms. Del Rey is any kids favourite singer
ReplyDeleteHey TTM ! Finally caught up to you, just joined the book club. Yay!
DeleteHey, Steamy! I saw that! Commented on your authors, very cool
DeleteI'm with you, Kimba. She's grown on me.
ReplyDeleteShe should have slapped that little paparazzo in the making. The nerve of some little people!!
ReplyDeleteI agree TTM. And as if a seven-year-old would actually have an account on eBay.
ReplyDeleteI don't really comment on here but I call bull on this. I've always read nothing but lovely stories about people meeting her. I met her by chance in Dublin (when she wasn't with her record label) and she asked for my full name and put me on the guestlist for her show with access to the private bar etc Absolute sweetheart! I didn't ask her to or drop any sort of hint
ReplyDeleteI take it you never see the children whose flights are Paid for by a syndicate of autograph sellers who have driven up prices with their hard line " No pics or it didn't happen".
ReplyDeleteThey roam the aisles scoping out low grade acts ( think rookie cards) to beg autographs and pics from. Then...BAM! EBay here they come!
The secret to the money is...hold on for "I knew them.." Or sell and make the $$ before they go back to nowhere...
Excuse my ignorance, but why couldn't Lana/Lizzie just sign it "To Xenia" or whatever the girl's name was? Wouldn't that make it more difficult to sell on eBay?
ReplyDeleteAlso, how does one know that any eBay autograph is authentic?
@ nutty, " no pics, dint happen" ;-)
DeleteShe's sorta kinda pretty, I guess, if you like that Angela Jolie plastic lips vapid mean look thing she has going on...
ReplyDeleteHa ha Steampunk - Ebay Babes, Ebay Babes, what you gonna do when they come for you...

ReplyDeleteI personally however do not understand the need for an autograph in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI can understand maybe in a book signed by the author and maybe certain memorabilia but otherwise no, I don't get it.
If I saw or met a celeb and no one believe me it's their problem.
@TTM, it's the new park bench. Take a seat, Daniel Craig and Lana del Ray!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I call whatevs - Lana del Ray is not in the 8yo favorites category.
Well Tina, I might let them honk my hooter if I liked them that way...I wouldn't even ask for beads ...just a This is for " insert your name here" and their REAL! while I camcord it And I'll be happy ( unless they squeeze too hard)
ReplyDeleteshe was probably mad they were both wearing the same outfit.
ReplyDelete@plotzky, I also do not find her pretty. But that's a subjective thing.
ReplyDeleteI see that Lana del Ray hand-signed autographs are going for around $200 on eBay at the moment.
@ nutty, that would explain it. Lana is mad that she's not getting a cut...
ReplyDeleteDon't find her attractive either, atleast not since she messed with her face.
ReplyDeleteTotally believe she's a b!tch.
I call bull on this one, only because it starts with "very pretty.." Her face is all screwed up because of surgery!
ReplyDeleteI get it that celebs at times get irritated with autograph/photo seekers interrupting them at dinner or whatever, but she was on a plane. What else is there to do on a plane? For some reason I think the source for this blind either embellished it to make it sound better, works for Madonna, or just plain made it up. Of course, I don't know anything for sure, but this Lana chick isn't Babs or Ms Ross. She is still trying to get there, so can't see her blowing off some kid on a plane with plenty of witnesses to repeat the story.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised the kid even knew who she was
ReplyDeletethat's bitchy
Who is this again? Hear that Lana? Pretty soon NO ONE will care to bother you. I fucking hate ungrateful celebrities. These assholes treat their fans like shit. Well, w/o the fans they wouldn't be shit. What goes up, must come down. ....just sayin.... take note Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteNot every 8yr old listens to kidz bop. Some of them have more sophisticated tasted. So it is possible that an 8yr old likes her music.
ReplyDeleteThis blind I totally believe. I get the "my poo don't stink", "I'm just way too good for you peasants", "don't you like this lovely sick up my rear" vibe from Lana.
Never forget who pays your bills. You want to keep living the life you're living you little snot- you'll sign the paper and smile.
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a kindness blind about her? I can't remember.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bitch. Her music is boring to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bitch. Her music is boring to me.
ReplyDeleteDon't be mean to the children! The kid is now scarred for life because this person could not take 5 seconds to sign something.
ReplyDeleteBitch.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for her to apologize for that Saturday Night Live...experience.
ReplyDeleteGood God..bitchy much? I know her name but not her music and I'm not inclined to if she's such a tw*t
ReplyDeleteIf this is true, it's a horrible way to treat a fan, especially a child.
ReplyDeleteShe's probably right. I don't know any little kids who would recognize her face on an album cover much less randomly in public without makeup, or has even heard of her, which means the parent got the kid to plead for an autograph that the parent wanted to sell on eBay. Sports stars are different - kids watch games. But little kids are too busy watching Disney and Nicklodeon. Either that, or by "little kid" Enty means an 8th grader.
ReplyDeleteYes! I like her now. Tell them brats what's up, Lana!
