Blind Items Revealed- Kindness
December 31, 2013
This Food Network mainstay who is probably the best part about the network donated and raised almost $1M last year to fund a cooking program in his hometown where underprivileged high school students can take classes after school and get a job if they want it or just give them something to do to stay out of trouble.
Alton Brown
TTM was all over this one. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteLove Alton. He's the best. Love his scientific approach.
ReplyDeleteI once spotted Alton Brown buying pre made cookie dough...
ReplyDeleteLove this. Anyone who is donating that kind of bank to help underprivelaged kids is aok in my book.
ReplyDeletewhoever he is good job!
ReplyDeleteSandybrook, he appears to be some sort of snack scientist?
DeleteLook up Good Eats with Alton Brown, show the science behind cooking/recipes AND funny, or my sense of humor is far too simple, you decide
DeleteBeautiful story! Ayay TTM!
ReplyDeleteI totally thought he was boning Giada. So glad to be wrong :D
ReplyDeleteI agree with LC. What he's done is great. They have a similar program in St. Paul MN.
ReplyDeletedon't know who this is, but this is great
ReplyDeleteThis is a pleasant surprise. He has a reputation as an u nasty lush.
ReplyDeleteAlton does the play by play on Iron Chef America and now he has his own show on the Food Network called Cutthroat Kitchen where contestants get money at the start and they can buy advantages or sabotage other players and whoever wins keeps what money they have left. They get $25,000 to start. He is very cool.
ReplyDeleteI got one??? I really got one?? Yay! High five me!
ReplyDeleteGet it TTM!.
DeleteLove him
ReplyDeleteNerd crush
ReplyDeleteGood Eats is the only show worth watching on Food Network. Everything else sux.

ReplyDeleteLove him! He's a class act.
ReplyDeleteYay Alton, that's awesome. The Food Network sure has gone downhill. I used to watch for hours and I'm no cook. I never watch now.
ReplyDeleteEmeril Lagasse has a school in NOLA that does this too. It's always a great thing when any big name gives back to their community. (Or anybody for that matter).
ReplyDeleteNice job, TTM!! Alton is awesome--I learned how to cut a turkey correctly by watching him.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kameon! I love Alton Brown! He's the reason I eat shrimp. Long story. But woo hoo! That thread made me miss our Rowdy, where did he go? ?
ReplyDeleteLove this guy.
ReplyDeleteI keep reading that he's difficult but right now he is the best pat of Food Network.
