Great question @7. I kind of see this more as a form of emotional cheating. At least the perp isn't potentially exposing their partner to STDs they pick up though. I guess it's be important to know the context of the relationship he had with his Skyper, if it's an ex, ouch. This also brings up the issue of whether they would have sex if that was an available option
DeleteYou would be amazed how seriously mental patients take Skype sex. I seen a mark harass the hell out of a cam whore because she was "fucking" another guy. When it turned out to be Skype fucking and I ridiculed the mark, cam whore got offended and unfollowed me on Twitter.

ReplyDeleteIt is emotional cheating and who knows where it could lead to down the line? Often, cheating starts out with getting away with seemingly inconsequential little things but once that gets boring, then it becomes more interesting for the participants to want to up the stakes.

DeleteSome extent in the US. This is still really common back in Czech Republic though. I have several family members back home who are open about being or having mistresses. It's a lot more socially acceptable over there to do such things, but the general underlying principle is that family always comes first. They screw around a lot, they just can't develop feelings about it or let it split up the family

my brother's fiancé met someone online in a chatroom and 9 months after the wedding she left him for the guy who was married w/ 2 kids and lived across the country. emotional cheating is a gateway.
@Geez louise I just meant that if the guy is thoughtless enough to do that in front of a girlfriend who might wake up, he might be thoughtless enough to do it in front of a child who also might wake up unexpectedly.

@count: Prague is basically the new Amsterdam at this point. We actually knew a guy who runs one of the biggest brothels there, in Wenceslas Square. He was a relative of my dad's friend. Czechs are some of the most liberal in terms of sexual attitudes. That comes mainly from the legacies of communism, and because practicing religion was illegal. Combine that with some of the social and economic factors there today-and all the good looking people- it's easy to see why many are projecting it to become the capital of sex tourism. Prostitution has been decriminalized there for a long time. I believe all if the presidents had mistresses publicly as well. Their most beloved president (Vaclav Havel) had MANY mistresses and no one gave a shit. He was even fucking my dad's coworker for years. Yet he will always be a saint over there. They have a very TD perspective about it: monogamy isn't supposed to work, it's about raising a family. Works very differently over there.
