Blind Item #2
This B list mostly movie actress probably should drop to a C+ lister but that whole Academy Award nominee/winner thing is keeping her artificially high. Oh, and that name. She tries to stay under the radar in all of her relationships but this one especially so because she has a squeaky clean reputation and doesn't want to be known as a home wrecker even though the almost A list mostly movie actor in question has let it be known that he cheats and his wife should expect it. Our actress is in love. The actor not so much and says that he likes them younger even though the actress can play young. She was just a box he wanted to check off.
Jennifer Lawrence!
ReplyDeleteJlaw should drop to C? Girl, get some coffee! :)
DeleteI know, I just read "artificially high" and I got all excited
DeleteAnna Kendrick
ReplyDeleteHush your mouth, @Lotta.
Delete@Lucas- :-P it's a possibility!
DeleteNo way JLaw isn't A-list. Rooney Mara maybe?
ReplyDeleteUma Thurman
ReplyDeleteLupita!
ReplyDelete*kidding*
Marisa Tomeie?
ReplyDeleteKate Hudson?
They don't work :( Who else has been nominated/won?
If he usually wants someone younger I can't see how the very young JLaw applies. I was thinking an "older" actress, possibly Hilary Swank vintage.
ReplyDeleteRooney Mara and Daniel Craig
ReplyDeleteI like this guess
DeleteI like the k - Hudson guess. She is artificially sweet. Not sure about actor.
ReplyDeleteDoes Kate Hudson have a squeaky clean reputation?
ReplyDeleteAbigail Breslin and Ethan Hawke
ReplyDeleteMinnie Driver? I'd still count her mostly movie despite three tv episodes. Her relationships are under the radar.
ReplyDeleteI really like this guess, Kristin! But would she really be a "box to check off"? I mean, I totally dug Circle of Friends, but I don't know if it was iconic or something a lot of straight dudes watched
DeleteTTM you are doing too much thoughts and shit this morning.
DeleteMinnie Driver isn't exactly able to "play young" anymore. And Abigail Breslin is still actually young. Sadly, I like the Anna Kendrick guess. The arbitrary rating system applies fairly closely to her. Would we consider Ryan Reynolds to be almost A list? She did a movie with him called The Voices.
ReplyDeleteI hate actors…
ReplyDeleteDef. Hudson.....could be Craig
ReplyDeleteThis guy sounds like a dick. beware!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Rooney...the other actresses can't play young anymore...still beautiful, but not young...except JLaw, but people still like her & her acting...if she keeps working she will always get noms & awards
ReplyDeleteI like the Rooney Mara guess...but "he likes them younger even though the actress can play young." That would tell me it's Anna Kendrick. She plays a highschool kid. She's in her 20's, and looks super young.
ReplyDeleteMinnie Driver is on the new "About a Boy" tv show, playing the mom originally played in the flick by the wonderful Toni Collette (SIDEBAR: She & Rachel Griffiths should totally do a project together where they play middle aged friends tryin' to figure out life...a Muriel's Wedding reunion!) I wonder if they made the TV About a Boy mom a depressed suicide-attemptee like in the movie or if they lightened it for TV? Guess I should tune in to find out! Anyway, like the KENDRICK guess. I don't feel MARA is known for a squeaky-clean im.
ReplyDeleteI feel like Anna's Academy recognition is almost forgotten...how often is that mentioned in articles about her or in trailers for her movies? She also continues to climb by choosing fun movies and establishing herself as a potential EGOT winner. Hasn't Enty called her amazing too?
ReplyDeleteHey Brainy - The movie was based on a book so, technically, the TV show is also based on a book. Nick Hornby, y'all. Check him out. He also wrote High Fidelity & Fever Pitch and did the screenplay for An Education. I kind of want to barf all over the tv show because it looks horrendous.
ReplyDelete@TTM - Hornby also has a book out called The Polysyllabic Spree which is a collection of essays of books he's bought and read. Could be a fun guide for your book club. :) Or you can just google "Stuff I've Been Reading" and it'll take you to his monthly column.
I thought Enty LOVES Anna Kendrick? I doubt he would say that her rating is artificially high.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm biased, I also love Anna. You should follow her on Twitter, she's awesome.
What's Javier Bardem up to these days?

ReplyDelete@ TalksTooMuch - Wash your mouth out! This is not the revered JLaw!
ReplyDeleteLOL I know, MadLyb, I can't believe anyone took that seriously!
Delete@TTM You should know better than to joke about America's farting Cookie Monster! We don't go around making fun of Rob Fo--never mind.
DeleteI agree with the 3rd guess. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig. Rachel Weiss could do so much better! She needs to get some schooling from Reese Witherspoon, who somehow landed Jim Toth. Drop the actors, Hon!
ReplyDeleteRooney, Daniel, Rachel.
ReplyDeleteMinnie Driver is dating Ryan Kavanaugh, head of Relativity Media, a movie production and distribution company, she's going for the ka-ching.
ReplyDeleteThe jennifer lawrence train ride is coming to an end soon. Her schtick is tired and annoying. I dont watch teenager movies, yet kids still 6 and under, but her performance in American Hustle was the worst in the movie and almost took me out of enjoying it. The 'I'm really clumsy and just like normal people' act is over....would i bang her silly for 35-45 seconds, you bet, would i put a .38 to my temple the second she started speaking, yes, yes i would
ReplyDeleteDid you see Minnie Driver in the "The Riches?" FX series, with Eddie Izard. Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHey, Ms. Vassar- JLaw's performance in AH was based on the script & the character they wanted her to play. Don't blame the actor if you don't like the character. Do you blame Fassbender for the parts he's played?
