    Not many people know Idina Menzel's name but Travolta could have been courteous enough to learn it before he brought his Frankenstein looking face out on stage. Did He also say "I love you too" to the crowd when he walked out?

      On that note, I wondered if, when the actresses read the nominations' names out, they were pre-recorded, as they sounded a little different to when the camera went back on them.

    Oh my God: I openly CRINGED when John Travolta mispronunced Idina's name last night (At first I thought maybe the prompter had written a different name altogether by mistake as there is more than one version of the Frozen theme available online and also because what he said sounded NOTHING like how her name is written. Didn't he say something like "Adele"?) It only got worse when I watched Idina's inexplicably bad performance but I think it probably had a lot to do with how visibly upset she was at having someone else's name used to introduce her during what should have been a huge moment for her in her career! Poor girl...God love Ellen though for trying to make up for it by saying her name not once but twice once the song was over. F**cking Travolta. Seems like his crazy wig must have been on too tight.

    I thought Idina did a good job on the song. Perhaps because I've never heard her sing it or the song before?

    Also sensing that the fashion theme was black and silver. Every year they seem to pick a color and everyone wears the same color. There were no bright colors out there.

    Sidney..still the classiest man on the planet.

    I felt bad for Sidney Poitier. He seemed so frail and confused. I wonder if he is one of the blinds for someone suffering from Alzheimers.

    I thought Poitier looked awfully frail, too. :-( He is a rather elderly man, so perhaps it's not surprising, but it's still sad. I had initially guessed that he might be the one to present Best Picture, but someone probably realized that sending him out on his own might not be a good idea, and Angie seemed to be taking good care of him.

    Mr. Poitier did look very frail. At first, as they were walking out, I couldn't decide if Ang was propping him up or the other way around. But as they neared the mic, could see that she was steering him along. As much as she irritates me, I have to admit, she was very patient and motherly with him.

    I missed it last night (because I had no idea who that singer was/is), but Travolta calling her "Adele Dazeem" is hilarious.

    Of course SP would look frail, he's 87 years old.

    I cannot stand Anna Kendrick. I don't know why, but she goes into the same category as AnnE for me.

    Kevin Spacey always reminds me of my school headmaster.

    Ethan Hawke looks hideous there! Man, what happened? Not quite how I remembered him in 'Great Expectations'.

    If Sidney Poitier is so frail, then why parade him out? He seemed fine enough on the red carpet, but on stage he looked out of it - like he had been drinking.

    I'm not belittling his condition, I just found it strange. (And something I've had to do for my father myself.)

    Poitier's daughter is beautiful.

    Anna Kendrick? Dress is hideous & so is she. I don't get her appeal. Scrawny, no lips, rabbity looking smile. I saw Up & Away but nothing else she's done. NI see no visible talent beyond bare expectations.
