There are a couple dresses that I like better than Lupita's, but the color of the dress against her dark skin made it my favorite look of the night. She just looked gorgeous.
While Cate's dress was beautiful, I thought it blended into her skin tone too much. I would have thought she would have stood out more. But she pulled it off well.
I thought Will and Jada looked really good. Lupita's gown of course, Sandra Bullock too, loved Gaga's gown (not hair and makeup), Kristin Chenoweth's overall look.
Sandy looked great. I'm glad she did something nice with her hair; I hate it when she leaves it straight and long all the way down to her waist. This was great.
Loved Lupita's and JLaw's dresses. Liked Charlize's dress a lot but the short hair not so much. She and Jared Leto should have switched stylists!
I'm not a fan of Cate Blanchett's dress. It's a bit boring. Sandra looks perfect. Love Charlize too. Amy Adams looked great, but she always has a manic look in her eyes. Lupita. Yes, yes, yes.
As the years go by I'm starting to see Angie/brad as THE it couple. Aniston who?

Jennifer was almost vavavoom but her hair pissed on the parade. Betch grow your hair out or get extensions. That look isnt doin ya any favors. Look good in the dress though.
Ange: Im a girl who will always gravitate to the chancier, edgier pieces. With that said. I love this dress but notsomuch the shape. Its not flattering to the female line. Most women couldn't pull off the shape because its cut for boyshapes to make you look bigger like u have hips and ass. So it actually works for ange because it makes it look like she actually eats.
Matthew and his: wtf were they thinking. I bet his suit is polyester and shes dress like shes going to a quinceanera.lol
Lupita: You know I adora the little African queen but her stylist needs to have her ass lit on fiyah. The best thing I can say about the dress is the shade and the 'attempted' cut of the dress mirror a confectioner's delight. The cut is horrendous. Its too big in the bodice making her boobs appear droopy which is not the case. That girls body looks like a sculpture. The fall of the dress is too long too. Overall the dress overwhelms her tiny figure instead of accentuating it. She looks like shes playing dress up in her mothers party dress.
Cate's dress was just too beige for me. It probably looked a lot better in person. Lupita's was the best because the color looked so good on her, but did not care for seeing the bony chest. Sandra Bullock looked good and seemed to be channeling a Veronica Lake vibe. Red is not Jennifer Lawrence's color. Just too many of the same pink, beiges, and navys on the carpet. AJ's dress was too matronly for her and she needs to fix that limp hair.
I just can't look at Charlize the same way I used to. Her class level has significantly decreasedfor me since she started letting Sean Penn stick his peen in her.
The ladies all look nice except for J Law. It's just a personal thing but I don't like the color orange. Orange cars, orange dresses, orange couches. Nope. I like oranges though.
Matthew and Camilla look a little strained. Maybe I'm just reading too much into the picture.
Leto looks like some sort of bug from outer space. Maybe he hitched a ride on the space shuttle and now he's stuck here on earth trying to get back to Pluto.
Camilla was the best dressed. Hands down. Great color and cut. Lupita had the best color, but cut was too weird. Sandra great look. Hated the makeup. JLaw was meh. Charluze and AJ were trying too hard. Poor Amy Adams...
The whole time I was thinking if J Law had to give up the It Girl title to Lupita so soon then who is she? Cate is clearly in front of her to be the next Meryl, J Law has a long wait.
Why should she aspire to be Meryl or Cate and be relegated to chick flicks?
J-Law has an Oscar, 2 other noms and a wheel barrow full of blockbusters in the bank. She could do a movie a year till she's 30 then walk away, and the # of contemporaries whose careers are equal could be counted in one hand.
To each their own, but I don't get the whole Lupita is bony-chested schtick. She simply has small breasts. Anyone with breasts much larger than hers would have looked vulgar in a gown cut like that.
@Tina - a good friend of mine knows of Charlize and she's not all roses and sunshine as most would like to believe. Her angelic looks are not representative of her personality; her looking moody would be the norm, from what I've heard.
@Count: I think some of the issue may be that Lupita could have a bit of a scar between her breasts. I can't say that for certain, obviously. But it sort of looks like that to my eyes.
I don't know. Calling Lupita bony when she could just be slender is sort of like pointing me being fat. People tend to be pretty aware of their body type.
Not accusing anyone of body shaming in this case, but it is a problem on both ends of the spectrum.
My first reaction to seeing AJ's dress is - honey did you get grab that from the mother of the bride section of a shop and then ah yes we needed to find a dress that looks we can see her boobs, to make everyone feel like a peeping tom wondering what those reconstructed breasts actually look like
I thought Sandra looked pissed off when Ellen said "Sandy - have you got any money" - she was looking at the person beside her as if to say "Is she meant to be addressing ME?" That was stupid though. Ellen was far too casual a host for the Oscars. Get Billy Crystal back next time, or let that really well spoken lady who works for the Academy - the one who announced the nominees with Hemsworth a few months back, and who made a speech last night.
I don't get everyone's love for Matthew McC. His voice drives me batty. I thought he was talking like that as a pisstake in his acceptance speech, but I've heard interviews on TV with him today and it seems to be his real voice! What with that and his keenness to play bongos in the nude ... nope; too weird for me.
I loved Harry's comment about Leto looking like a bug from outer space ... that had me laughing so hard I nearly fell off my chair. I concur!

Camilla's been giving bitch-face for a while & her dress is too pale for her skin. Lupita's dress was a good color, brighter on TV than in stills, but who wants to see that skeletal chest & ribcage with warts or scars on the sternum? Not me. Are we supposed to think she was a victim of Kenyan violence? Are those little bullet holes? Just yuck!
I'm surprised at all the comments about Lupita's chest. She looked like a goddess in that gown and it caught the light perfectly. "Nairobi Blue" is the only color and only Prada I've ever seen that looks good. Prada designs for women built like Lupita.

Leto and Matthews speeches reminded me too much of performances that real emotion. I'll take Steve McQueen nervous and blubbering over them anytime.
