A To D List - The Hierarchy
This is part one of a continuing series this weekend that will set to define A-D list and the people in the public eye and how they should be defined. Before getting to specific individuals this is a general overview on lists.
Trying to define A to D list is hard, but not impossible.
The big problem is that careers are always in flux and things that hold true
when a blind is written or a description of an actor might not be the case when
it is read years later. Back in 2008 I wrote Kirsten Dunst was an A lister. Is
she now? Nope. I think since the site started there have been changes in
television with the advent of sites like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon producing original content. Should those be
given less weight because they are not on network television?
There has also been an increase in reality shows to the
point where I consider them a genre unto their own. If I call someone an A list
reality star it does not mean they are an A lister in the true sense of the
word. There is a hierarchy and what I wrote back in 2008 about the true A
listers is still what I believe today.
“In my mind, A list is someone who can open a mainstream
film all by themselves. When I say mainstream, I mean a film that opens in the
1000+ screen category. I think that is the one true measurement of whether
someone is A list or not. The question should be, am I interested in going to
see this movie because so and so is in it and I don't care what the movie is
about.”
CATEGORIES IN ORDER OF HIERARCHY:
MOVIES
NETWORK TELEVISION
CABLE TELEVISION
OTHER PROVIDER TELEVISION
REALITY
CELEBRITY
There is already a flaw within this list though. You can be
Jay-Z, who is an A+ list celebrity and should not be at the bottom of the list.
You could refer to him as a musician and because that is a talent should be
moved higher in the list and leave celebrities to someone like Paris Hilton or
Courtney Stodden.
Where would you place Jay-Z though? Movies are highest on
the list because they generally get paid the most. Brad Pitt makes more per
movie than Ashton Kutcher gets for an entire season on Two And A Half Men. It’s
close, but Brad wins. Plus, the Academy Awards are watched by people all over
the world and Emmy Awards, not so much. A popular television show in the US
might not be popular in the rest of the world but a movie generally has more
appeal worldwide.
Taylor Swift made more money than all but a handful of
entertainment people last year. She is known worldwide and has a skill other
than just being famous. You might not like her or her music, but that is not
the point when defining the list. There are lots of people I dislike, but you
have to recognize where they rank in things.
What I want to do is to create a new category called
Entertainer. This would cover people in the musical fields some stand up
comedians and even DJ’s like Tiesto and athletes. They are all entertainers. In
the hierarchy I would still place them beneath movies but above network
television. The actors on television shows who make as much as the highest paid
entertainers are few and far between.
That would mean that the designation of celebrity would be
reserved for those who are not a participant in any of the other categories. Kevin
Federline is a great example. With the exception of a couple of visits to
reality shows he is someone who is famous because he is famous. He married
Britney Spears and has been famous since. Other than producing babies at a
prolific rate he has no other skill so makes the perfect “celebrity.” So, you
ask, how would you classify Paris Hilton? She has been an entertainer. She has
been in movies. She has been on reality shows.
I would describe her as a former A list reality star who
appeared on multiple reality shows and is currently a B list celebrity we all
love to hate. I would skip the singing part because I like to forget about it
and the more narrow you make a description, the easier the blind is to figure
out. There has to be some guessing.
So, the new hierarchy looks like this:
MOVIES
ENTERTAINERS
NETWORK TELEVISION
CABLE TELEVISION
OTHER PROVIDER TELEVISION
REALITY
CELEBRITY
Now that the hierarchy has been established I want to take a
brief look at each of the categories and break them down further.
MOVIES
General Release
Horror
Limited Release/Art House
Straight to On Demand
ENTERTAINERS
NETWORK TELEVISION
CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC
CW
CABLE TELEVISION
Pay Cable (HBO/SHOWTIME/STARZ)
Free Cable (A&E/TLC/AMC/HIST)
OTHER PROVIDER TELEVISON
(NETFLIX/AMAZON/HULU/CRACKLE)
REALITY
Network Reality
Cable Reality
Online Reality
CELEBRITY
i'm gonna need to laminate this when its done cause i'm confused already
ReplyDeleteHa ha, Canada chick. I like your idea. My poker laminated list of what beats what could use a buddy
DeletePersonally, I'd leave out the bit about 'network' and 'cable' given that there are people from different countries reading this who that doesn't apply to
ReplyDeleteHere, here Stepforded but I'm happy that Enty has supplied a list of what is cable and what is not as that is very confusing to me too!
DeleteOh lordy. o_0
ReplyDeleteI'm liking this list thing, but GIMME OUR REVEAL!!!!
ReplyDeleteFine print: subject to change randomly and for no apparent reason.
ReplyDeleteReality should be the bottom of the list because technically they are nobodies and Courtney Stodden (not Stiffen spelchek a-hole) should be included in reality. Just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteHey sandy, looks like your spellczheck has a little Freudian thing going on too...;-)
DeleteClear as ... Opaque as...hmmm
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it...
Blimey. I think the kids these days write tl;dr.
ReplyDeleteI was sort of just expecting a list of names with a rating next to each one, not a PhD thesis. But go Enty for the thought and effort.
So help me to understand, within each category would someone be described as A, B, C, D list?
ReplyDeleteSo Tiesto ranks hire than a huge network television star like Sofia Vergara? Really?
ReplyDeleteNow that makes no sense and I could name other tv people who's demand on a red carpet and actual presence sells more celeb mags than Tiesto.
oh no I didn't. HIGHER, duh
ReplyDeleteSeems a bit too much. And why do we not see "singers" on the lists? We see blinds about A, B or C list "singers" all the time bit they don't get listed in the hierarchy? They just fall under entertainers now?
ReplyDeleteWell, that cleared up NOTHING.
ReplyDeletewhat about my Real Housewives?
ReplyDeleteRamona Singer A+
Porsha Stewart C
Carlton Gebbia D-
Turtle Time!
DeleteJesus Mary Joseph and the shepherds. This is going all to hell and fast...how'd this get so complicated?
ReplyDeleteYea Steam spelchek does its own thing whether I spell right or wrong.
ReplyDeleteI hit publish too soon. I don't like the "entertainers" label because it's way too broad. That's going to make them even more difficult to figure out. And they have been so vague to or even so unbelievable as it is, and now we are going to get "entertainers " which could apply to so many?
ReplyDeleteI am already confused but hope it will become clearer when you start to rank individuals. So, when you say A+ list would that ONLY be for a wide release movie or would you specify A+ list reality star, for example?
ReplyDeleteWho the heck is Tiesto?
ReplyDeleteHe make dat ooonce ooooonce music
DeleteEventually @violet there will be a list and a link to the list but someone copied and pasted the table of contents to IMDB as their request for list inclusion so it will be awhile.
ReplyDeleteSeven knows spreadsheets.
ReplyDelete@Seven, Eggcellent..
Deletewill it stop Enty to describe Ryan Reynolds as A+ list movie actor while he describes Jennifer Lawrence asA list almost movie actress or Kate Winslet B/B+ list almost movie acress?
ReplyDeleteAt FrenchGirl, and Chris THOR Hemsworth as A list with AA/GG winner JLaw as "almost A", too!
DeleteCould we ban reality stats?
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Tiesto. What I love about this list/explanation is that it allows for everyone to disagree & duke it out. Excellent. The more things change....
ReplyDeleteTiesto is one of the biggest DJs in the world. EDM is one of the most popular genres as well.
ReplyDeletewell if we ain't complaining - we ain't breathing
ReplyDeleteand please no blind on the nobodies like Kevin Federline or Courtney S or Lindsay L !
ReplyDeleteSo US TV network shows are a higher priorty than other things? No one really watches network shows. Their ratings are only marginally higher than some cable shows. For example, more people watch Walking Dead than almost every network show.
ReplyDeleteWord, Canadachick!
ReplyDeleteI like a good duke out, as long as it's not in the Random 5s. I just don't trust that place.
@Seven of Eleven
ReplyDeleteyou're right!
in Enty's world Leo dicaprio is A list like Gwyneth Paltrow whereas she can't open a popcorn box without help of RDJ
Thank you for all the work that you put into this Enty.
ReplyDeleteOf course we all have our little changes we would make, but that doesn't matter, since we're all working within established parameters with the same (partial) information.
Oh my lord, this is now getting even more ridiculous! A list is being created to help solve blind items? I would like to go back to 2008 CDaN.

DeleteHon, you're about as riling up as a used condom dangling off of a lampshade in Lilo's bedbug apartment.

DeleteThat's pretty good @sevenofeleven. Pretty damn good indeed.
DeleteHow ya doin', @Wendy?!
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI reject your reality (bahahaaa!!) and substitute it with my own!
DeleteLooks like Wendy fulfilled her aforementioned 2-post quota. Bye!
DeleteThanks for the heads up, Wendy!
Delete"I would describe (Paris Hilton)as a former A list reality star."
ReplyDeleteNow I weep.
Happy Saturday everyone! So, now we have to remember that athletes won't be referred to as athletes, but rather as Entertainers? Evade. I'm already more confused!
ReplyDeleteEffin' spellcheck. Supposed to be Egads! Not Evade.
ReplyDeleteThx @Derek...I don't get out much! I don't think I've been to a club in...9 years! Wowzers! I'm only in my 30s... You guys keep me young.
ReplyDeleteWhat Sean said. Other than reality shows and some of the bigger network programs(Scandal, Once Upon a Time, e.g.) shouldn't cable be ranked higher than network tv?
ReplyDeleteI'll just keep reading the blinds, have a coupla guesses to myself then mostly agree with VIP - a list recognition to one might be d list to another (ie tiesto who I've heard of but never listened to)
ReplyDeleteEnty - just take the extra 5 mins to let us know which field/s the persons in then the blind instead of entertainer etc ty :)
Now where the fuck is our big reveal? MV for me, I have no interest in coke bitch
Soooo we are just going to keep guessing in a big mess like we normally do, right?
ReplyDelete@kristin precisely
DeleteHey Courtney!
DeleteHey kristin!!!
DeleteKristin - based on what I tried to read in the item it might even be more fucked up than before. Doesn't need to be that complicated.
DeleteTexas rose, it seems much of the same but with a new category and new guidelines for A list? Like, based in box office: Fast & Furious guys > Joaquin Phoenix?
DeleteI'm just gonna keep guessing like I normally do. I'm not keeping a list hanging around my neck.
I feel like maybe I should just continue NOT guessing
DeleteTTM you were on a winning streak for a couple weeks there.
DeleteI don't wanna wreck it, either, Wigs. I feel like maybe I was in a trance
DeleteI guess I don't understand for the hierarchy of categories. Too damn many. I do like however putting clear definitions on network vs cable ect although I guess CW was elevated to network from it's own category of 'almost network':) I'm still hoping that sometime this weekend enty will post list of current ratings for all the celebs names submitted this week.
DeleteI don't understand the need for the .....
DeleteTexas rose, I think we should give up hope on an actual list. Did you see that thing? If my readers submitted a request like that that included an official ranking of all the Wayans brothers, I'd tell y'all to go flux yo-selves.
DeletePs, what "...." Are you talking about?
Kristin - just editing my first sentence 'I guess I don't understand the need for the hierarchy of categories.'
DeleteKristin - just editing my first sentence 'I guess I don't understand the need for the hierarchy of categories.'
DeleteI agree with @texas rose. I don't understand the need for the category hierarchy, since ppl are then ranked within their genre. If Brad is an A+ movie actor and he's having a fling with an A-list model (this is all hypothetical, of course), how does the ranking of genres change/affect anything?
DeleteScrew this, I want my blind!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Disco - give us the big reveal (MV for me).
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't actually clear anything up at all. The argument everyone had was the inconsistency with which labels are given to people to make it harder to guess. Without a list saying 'Julia Roberts is an A, Monica Potter is a C' everything is still completely subjective.
ReplyDeleteSo there was no point in doing this. But thanks?
This is all we are getting today????? I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but really…I AM!!
ReplyDeleteWendys in the bathroom preparing for her filibuster.
ReplyDeleteWho gives a flying fuck
ReplyDelete@Massive G - never in my life did I think I would utter a silent 'amen' after something you posted. Goes to show, I guess.
DeleteI think of premium cable higher than network, Enty is confused. Reality is the lowest.
ReplyDeleteIs Wendy the chick who hates Emma Watson or am I getting people mixed up?
ReplyDelete@ButterKwup, it's Marieeee that links to the Emma Watson hater blog (she's a good'un and takes the friendly jibes).
DeleteWendy Davis is the one who hates all female celebs who aren't Rachel Zoe thin or Jennifer Aniston fab. Girlfriend's a loud and proud Stannister.
I'd laugh if Massive Pee was Entyonamobile, but the latter is smarter than the former.
@butterkwup Marieeee dislikes Emma Watson. Wendy is a local ho troll doing her ho stroll waiting to start shit.
DeleteAnd me!
Delete@TTM- are you saying she hates you? Because for some ungodly reason, that's normal around here, right?
DeleteIs it your Canadianess? Because you seem pretty adorable (other than that).
She totes hates me, Butter. She was kinda the OG TTM hater
DeleteSo she's a trendsetter! Word up....homeslice.
DeleteAnd a belated thanks to Seven and Wiglet for the explanation!
DeleteAnd thanks, Butter!
DeleteMe too Jessie, me too. Quick, to the time machine! To 2008 CDAN, hurry!
ReplyDeleteFlux Capacitor search is on.
DeleteHey bitch! Anyway if entyonamobile and not Enty said he would do a big reveal when he reaches 20000 followers on Twitter you will be waiting a long time. Entyonamobile and the fat fucking woman (Massive G) right above me are the same troll.
ReplyDeleteLolz your theory amuses me
Delete@sandy: Even though trolls can take on different identities and feign different dialects, if one were so inclined, I'm sure you could run discourse/content analyses programs that could identify the likelihood that samples were written by the same person. Even when people are intentionally and deceptively writing things a certain way, they subconsciously tend to use similar writing patterns. It's just a matter of cracking which one.
DeleteDon't know much in regards to your theory though. Sounds plausible
LadyH, I find this topic fascinating. Anywhere I could read more about it?
DeleteI'll ask my colleagues who do that kind of thing for the best sources on this; I know it's out there but I'm not the expert. If I don't get back to you in the next few days on that, please remind me.
DeleteI know they've used these types of analyses in different forensic cases. That's the main evidence they have against a lot of suspected serial killers like the Zodiac, for example. It's going to become increasingly common now that law enforcement agencies are heavily monitoring criminal organizations on Facebook and Twitter, as well as Brown Pride sites etc
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteOk two things: 1) what's the deal with Wendy? I'm clueless. 2) so this "list" and the big reveal is basically all just BS? Color me disappointed. And clueless.
ReplyDelete@CourtneyD, Wendy D is a boring troll, feel free to ignore. (If you poke at it, it farts.)
Delete2) Yep, yep, YUP. Promised list, promises lost. :/
@sevenofeleven thanks for the description. I'll make sure to ignore! And since this has all been a bust, I'm back to getn my shit ready for the Bristol race tomorrow lol this redneck bitch is gonna need her rain boots. Ta-ta beautifuls!!
DeleteOy vey, too much for me to take in on a Saturday, I'll just leave it to the experts here, Now where did I leave my margarita? It's a hot one today.
ReplyDeleteImagine if Superman could give a flying f*ck.
ReplyDeleteLet's ask Wendy for a comprehensive list of the people she hates. Wendy? Over to you...
This is all we get? Yeah, there better be more Enty. I see this going over really well!
ReplyDeleteWe dont have to wait for Wendys list here it is:
ReplyDeleteTTM
TTM
TTM
TTM
TTM
TTM
TTM
and ppl who are pro abortion
Awww I thought Wendy was an equal opportunity hater.
DeleteSadness.
"If you poke at it, it farts"
ReplyDeleteI loved that.
Its comical what a clusterfuck everything is right now.
I think entyonamobile is Jax.
Pretty sure Massive G is Marcie.
I enjoy them both.
I like your theories better
Delete#betterlucknexttimesandy
I think it's Jax, too, @hairydawg. She revealed some decent stuff (about Enty) if I remember correctly. Was at the height of the 'burrito whore' debacle and that other blog that went invite-only, then seemed to disappear.
DeleteWhy us network tv higher up than cable in 2014? I get why years ago but can you really say that many more people are watching network these days? Also movie stars end up pay cable so in blinds they tend to have higher ratings.
ReplyDelete*Why is network tv* I'm sorry I always sound illiterate in the comments.
Delete@M. Brown, you're not alone. My brain is faster than my fingers and I skip words, it's inelegant and annoying. :/
DeleteIMHO, US network TV used to be the barometer, but when Netflix comes out with a show that outshines any network show (and isn't even reality), that's when you know you're looking at 1990s statistics. I remember when NBC Thursday was can't miss (I was in school and had to miss) - that's the barometer we're looking at, I think.
Hi guys! I feel behind!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteWendy just remember to take a shit before you filibuster. This way you wont have to worry about keeping it in you to keep on the filibuster and you wont have to worry about it getting in your head and having shit for brains.
ReplyDeleteI lose track of so much so easily. Sometimes I wonder how I ever manage to stay employed.
ReplyDeleteNo idea who's who or what's what.
Mr Violet is watching a late night film with Bradley C. I will guess that he is a mostly film A list actor. And with that I am off to bed hoping for a big reveal tomorrow (coke mom for me).
From Twitter: @entylawyer did I miss the big reveal at 20k followers?
ReplyDelete@entylawyer: No, it will happen next week on the site.
@Cocoa well I'll be damned. Nice detective work, as usual!
DeleteThanks Kristin. Not interested in being a yacht girl, so detective work keeps me busy.
DeleteOh, and if you're reading this, Sherry, we miss you, see you next week! Hope you're having a great weekend!
DeleteThe most helpful thing is when you accompany the basic descriptions of letter rating and genre with other defining characteristics. People get pissed and contradictions run rampant when a blind subject is impossibly vague and then the reveal confirms the rating is a real stretch to boot. The A-Dlist thing is subjective and doesn't really do much for a blind item anyway. Better to use descriptive words like hot, promising, legendary, struggling etc
ReplyDeleteOT: RIP David Brenner
ReplyDeleteI skipped the post and went straight to the comments with my mango Margarita. Happy Saturday bitches!!
ReplyDeletei think no matter what the list says there will be some among us who will disagree on the ratings based on personal bias.
ReplyDeletewow i totes sounded sober there lol how the hell did that happen. its like when you're drunk off your ass and your mom calls and you can fake it lol
anyhooooo to recap TTM is my favourite Canadian (beside me of course) and she's a ginge like me.......WAIT maybe i'm TTM????
Mind blown
Yay for Canucklehead ginges!! And Merican ones, Wigs, we wouldn't leave you and Claudea and Penelope Jane oot!
DeleteYou better be a 12 year old stuck in 2003 if you write "totes" "anyhoo"etc.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to wait for the specific individuals list. In a way it makes sense that movies top everything else, but...
ReplyDeleteLets get the Jay-Z example. He is not only a singer or a producer, but he is such a powerful player in the industry that it is impossible to see him as less than A+ or maybe A++.
How do you rate Angelina Jolie? She cannot open a mainstream film all by herself, but her career as whole, her A+ plus marriage, the charities, the kids, the fame, etc puts her at A++ right?
I don't agree that movies as a whole deserve a better ranking than network television, I guess that depends on the show and the movie. A show like Grey's Anatomy is popular around the world and you are not going to tell me that worldwide Lars Von Triers is more well-known than Patric Dempsey.
But in the end all we need is better written blind items. As in blind item with proper punctuation and grammar.
okay...
ReplyDeleteMy theory on what happens with the blinds: ( ahem )
ReplyDeleteThe entities look at pictures
Leaf thru the D.M.
Read what the computer tagged for the names they input( biggest train wrecks and wannabes )
IOW take 10 minutes to drink coffee and peruse said data over jelly donuts
Where the jelly plops, a blind is born.
This explains the broken sentence structure.
Once the name is excised, they only use the words without jelly smear.
Then they roll the dice marked with " the ratings" A,B,C,D,+,--
No wonder they drink...
@Steampunk: No wonder WE drink!
DeleteDid someone say drinks?
DeleteOk I spammed his twitter feed with MV reveal! MV reveal! Etc feel free to join in :D
ReplyDeleteDid Enty fall into a ditch? Get distracted?
ReplyDeleteNote to self: ATHLETES are now "Entertainer." "Celebrities" are people who are famous for nothing, or that otherwise gotten nto, or came out of, famous lady bits. I think the old way outlined by @Steampunk is still more effective.
ReplyDeleteWat the hell is online reality?
ReplyDeleteWld that mean that Jax was a former A list bossy bitch & Musky Douche (Massive G) is a forever D list that ppl hate?
ATHLETES and MUSICIANS should have their own categories.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteAthletes are not entertainers, nor should they be slumped with musicians. We need some more thorough DIVISION OF LABOR here, Entytainer!!!
Please REVISE & RESUBMIT!
R&Rs be a bitch, yo
#shitlist
#hitlist
#heartEntyforRealsies
#hashtagtrainingwheels
You are all AWESOME. Even when you're not... Thanks to Enty and CDAN Celebrity Sleuths!
ReplyDeleteMark Harmon springs to mind as network A list: series after series has been created around him with durable commercial and critical success. Does that make him more "A" than Bryan Cranston on AMC? Come ON!
ReplyDeleteThat said, the new definitions seem a decent effort. We could all poke holes in it with exceptions that prove the rule. Problem is, Hollywood seems to follow a rule made of exceptions. This new list doesn't account for the hot-wow-now that made Aaron Paul the top box-office draw this weekend. According to Enty, I think, he would have been A- television a week ago, but what on the big screen? B, even, based on spec? Today, an A! And to remember when he was in Contestant's Row on The Price Is Right!
^5
DeleteI vote Aaron Paul for A list, yo!
Yeah, Bitch!!!!
But don't forget the most classic vintage Pinkman moment!
GOTTA HAVE MY POPS!
I read about three sentences and gave up. Enty's old system, without explanation, made a lot more sense.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ray, "subject to change"
Did anyone see/already mention that CDAN is mentioned in the Daily Mail?! About the Lohan piece.
ReplyDeleteWow, and the LA times.
ReplyDeleteYup. Enty has been picked up all over the place! Did you see the article where Kat Dennings calls it out as "complete bullshit!"
ReplyDeleteNot in those terms :) but yeah, articles full of denials all over the place!
ReplyDeleteI think an online course may be needed to fully comprehend this...
ReplyDeleteDidn't Jsierra do a list already? And do I really care about a list? Naaaaaaaaaah
ReplyDelete@Steampunk--"where the jelly plops, a blind is born"
ReplyDeleteNot only is that a geniusly compact piece of writing, it really ought to be the strap line for this blog.
It is 7:30 am and I want to Thank you Seven for linking " How Bizarre". It literally woke me up from my sleep and is now on continuous play in my head.

ReplyDeleteSorry, Charlie :-( ( insert starkist tuna clip)
DeleteENTY STOP THE RATING BASED ON ABILITY TO OPEN A MOVIE!
ReplyDeleteIt is outdated.
The fact that you change an actors' rating based on 1 hit and the actress in the Same movie becomes, Same rating actress in ( A+) movie, is insulting.
You dismiss solid work, awards, longevity and talent, all because she's an actress and " Can't open a movie on her name, alone"
THAT IS THE CRITERIA FOR PRODUCING AND HIRING for a movie, not the reason for seeing one.
We are no longer in an age where we are going to see the next Errol Flynn.
Update your ideas Enty.
Start rating actresses and actors based on body of work, if he is A for the hit movie then she is too.
Enty forget the FX channel which has original programming like Sons of Anarchy and depending on where you live it is included in basic cable and sometimes not.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Sean on network TV pulling ratings only barely better than cable. I have to say the only network programming I watch is Survivor, Jeopardy and this year The BlackList caught my attention but the premise has gone flat for me already. Started out with a bang going out with a whimper.
Why I see movies in a theater:(ahem)
ReplyDeleteI liked the trailer. ( r.i.p. trailer voice guy) heard some gossip about it and WTF...
I have been shopping and I Need to sit down and have a drink.
I read the book and completely disagree with the casting choices and want to get vocal about it while in line and during previews.
I'm on a Blind date and its not looking good.
Tina, I totally hear ya on the Blacklist, but it's still in the top rated 5 programs on TV every week. I don't think Enty will ever be able to come up with a fool-proof system :( It's too variable...the discussions about ratings will always continue and have some subjectivity to it. I do agree Entertainers category needs to be broken into a few specifics including musicians, athletes, etc.
ReplyDeleteI don't think a Probate lawyer running a gossip site is any authority on this. (As outed by Jacky Jasper at HSK) Like I've said before, working for Best Picture winning Producers there is an actual list. If anything, this site has fucked everybody's "credit rating" with their mads up Bullshit.
ReplyDeleteNobody was outed by Jacky Jasper, you moron. HSK linked to an old New York Post article, while calling it an article from the New York Daily News. If HSK was in charge of the Malaysian plane investigation, they'd probably be looking for the plane at Beijing Airport.
DeleteWhy I watch movies at home:( ahem)
ReplyDeleteI like the option to fool around anytime, don't use it much/ever, but I like it to be there.
Cheap snax, beer, wine, liquor and weed for those who indulge.
If it sucks, I can easily watch something else.( I don't Have to loudly proclaim " This Sucks, you can keep my money, just let me go!" I don't Have to...)
Bed is 6 to 40 feet away.( see#1 but most likely just sleepy)
I hear ya Shinobi, but those are producers ratings not the elusive/confounding list of public opinion.
ReplyDeleteMy Movie ratings: ( ahem)
ReplyDeleteI'll go to the theater to see it. A+
I was out and it was playing and I had to wait for it to begin ( over an hour). A
I was out and it was starting soon And I heard so so about it. B+/-
Bad date filled with " Well,... what do you want to do? WDYW to see?" IOW, desperation move that does not fit above criteria... C+/-
Kid movies that aren't Pixar or the other up and comers in Animation. D
Your Welcome
I have a lot of catching up to do
ReplyDeleteHey Knockout Jackass,
ReplyDeleteI've been rolling with Jacky Jasper personally since '97. I've known real shit from him that no one here as ever seen printed because it's too dark and too dangerous, years before he ever started his blog.
So I think I have a much better idea of what Jacky really knows, link or not.
I know the truth. Believe what you want. The probate lawyer that runs this site has been fucking up celebrity rankings for years and it affects real people's $$.
Like, how dark and dangerous?
DeleteI had no idea this was posted yesterday! Hurumph!
ReplyDeleteWhere does musician fall in the hierarchy?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteWhy are we staying focused on something like MV or Coke Mom for the blind reveal?
ReplyDeleteHow about the ultimate blind item reveal:
Who is Enty?
