I love when I read about celebrities doing good for people and giving their time and money to worthy causes. It is why I have kindness blinds. What I don't like are celebrities who say they have a charity but don't or have a charity they raise money for but don't ever do anything with the money or just squander it on administrative expenses. Over the next few months I will be writing about some of the celebrities and their causes that only exist in their imagination.
This celebrity/singer is beloved by her fans. Probably a B lister despite not doing much of anything for a very long time. Fairly good looking and a friend of plastic surgeons everywhere. She also says she has a charity. Actually over the years she has mentioned three charities. None of them exist but she she says she works for them and with them all the time. Maybe in her head or on a piece of paper but there is no record the charities exist except when she talks about them to reporters. She once got a cover article on a tabloid talking about all the charity work she did one of the charities she said she established and what they were hoping to do and had done but it doesn't even exist. As far as I can tell she hasn't raised any money for her fictional charities but I hate people think she is doing all of this good for someone or people when she does not do anything. Very disheartening because she is supposed to be better than that.
Gee Enty could you at least give us her genre of music?? R&B, Pop, Country, Hip Hop? Otherwise this could be any singing cosmetic surgery queen.
ReplyDeleteCome on down ... Celine Dion
ReplyDeleteI can't stand celebrities who say they have charities...or churches.
ReplyDeleteSIT DOWN STFU HO-TON YOU WOULD CATCH ON FIRE INNA CHURCH DOORWAY #SPAWN #XTERMINATE
DeleteMJ Blige...?
ReplyDeletesounds like something that dodgy Lauren Hill would do
ReplyDeleteDolly is a forever A, but for some reason she comes to mind
ReplyDeleteMolly, no. She sends books to kids 0-5 each month in TN. Ain't no way it's Dolly!
DeleteShe actually does it all over the world. My daughter gets a book every month and it really is a great thing. Times are hard and I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about spending extra money on books now which is something kids desperately need! I'm very thankful for Dolly starting this organization.
DeleteDolly's imagination labrarium! She stopped it here in BK :(. Couldn't find a local sponsor :(
DeleteExcellent series of blinds! I applaud your efforts!! But I don't have a clue on this one.
ReplyDeleteYes I can't wait 4 these. .. I hate pretentious celebrities and their fake charities and then they keep the money...

ReplyDeleteDebbie Harry in Daily Mail.
ReplyDeletejust to be a devil's advocate or something about Enty's wording triggers me to ask how do you know the charities do not exist and you mean to tell me all these years no one has questioned this person on these charities if they did not exist? Did Enty check the list of all registered charities in the US, in other countries, other countries on other continents. Is it a non profit instead? Did the person ever collect money in the name of the charity - no one is going to give money to any organization without a registered number or they are a fool, not to say someone wouldn't fake the registration number.
ReplyDeleteIs is related to COS LOL
I hate people think she is doing all of this good for someone or people when she does not do anything
ReplyDeleteAnd yet it's a BI and not a reveal or an article.
Even though Oprah isn't a singer I would love this to be her! Sanctimonious female woof!!

Going with Cher on this one.
ReplyDeleteJessica Simpson
ReplyDeleteI like the Cher guess
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to god this isn't Cyndi Lauper
ReplyDeleteCher was the first name to pop in my head too -- but she's been associated with Smile Train (or something) for years and that is a legit charity.
ReplyDeleteCher is forever A list with grammy, oscar, golden globe, etc as well as one of the best selling artists of all time. Not her.
ReplyDeleteSince Enty doesn't accuse this person of outright fraud, isn't it possible she "thinks" she is doing charity work when in fact her accountant or manager might have set something up for tax purposes? Not many singers or actors are up to date on the minutae of their finances.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Cyndi have that True Colors charity? I think she's at least performed for a True Colors event so I'd rule her out.
ReplyDeleteWhat about reba Mcintyre?
ReplyDeleteCher and Dolly B list? Oh Em GEE! *ClutchesHeart*
ReplyDeleteJanet Jackson?
ReplyDeleteI like the Mary J guess.
ReplyDeleteJanet? Is that you?
ReplyDeleteYes- Janet.
ReplyDeleteYes- Janet.
ReplyDeleteNot REBA-she had a show on ABC past (?) season.. so she does not fall into 'hasn't done anything ...'
ReplyDeleteWould love for it to be CELINE.. but, Vegas was not that LONG AGO?
CHER, on the other hand..what has she done?
I also agree with others.. LEGIT CHARITIES are listed on Guidestar.org & charitynavigator.. BUT.. these are basically 'NOT-FOR-PROFITS' registered HERE, in the USA.. AS different states have different REPORTING REQUIREMENTS! (there R some foreign charities.. BUT..)
SOOOOO... I am thinking(????) if this singer has been able to get AWAY with it for YEARS!!!! her IMAGINED CHARITIES would have to be FOREIGN BASED -i.e.-they would not have to report 'earnings' to their 'local' state, as they, the charities are not BASED in any state..
How about 'charities/not-for-profits' located in AFRICA? VIETNAM/INONESIA/CHINA AREA????
It's extremely easy to tell if a charity is real or not. All of them are registered as 501c compliant so that donations can be tax deductible. If it's not on the 501c list, it's not real, and yes there is a data base you can check out. Try getting caught donating to a fake charity, it can trigger an IRS audit. Shame on whoever is doing this. Also, you can check to see how much money you donate is actually being used for administration and pay and how much is going to the people you want to help. All charities are rated by how much goes to the needy, there is a data base for that as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing this is another Mary J Blige blind.
