I have only a bare idea whats going on but its very colourful. Im watching it on Channel 4 here in the UK. Some big nasty looking fuckers out there. That Denver number 94's backside filled my widescreen TV.
Haha, this isn't my first rodeo @sandy... It should get interesting too since I'm ill-prepared. I tried to keep booze out of the house so I didn't lose my abs before a girl's beach trip this week. I have 4-miller lites, 1bottle of Pinot noir, 1 bottle sake, and some st germain & absolut pear.. Now that I look at my list, I have plenty to drink but the combo will hurt me tomorrow :(
Well its all good and lo on carbs too @Mel. May even have vegetable servings ob there someplace. I'm straight up with beer and if I somehow manage to run out I have 3 wines to choose from.
@Flashy Vic, I don't know which number he is, but there's a guy on the Hawks team who I keep calling a refrigerator. I'd be terrified to be on the sidelines when one of those guys crashed out of bounds.
I know @ Sandy, but you'd think he'd be able to get his shit together mentally by now. At the end of the day, the greater Manning (by talent anyways) is stuck in amateur hour
Stick a fork in Denver, they're done. Fifteen points is all the lead the Hawks need. It'll be nothing but Marshawn between the tackles the rest of the day, with Peyton watching morosely on the sidelines.
@Seven. I remember William the Refrigerator Perry for Chicago way back in the 8Os. He was even well known over here. They started showing NFL over here way back then on C4 & I used to watch. I followed the Redskins. But I havent seen it for literally years. Due to shiftwork this is the first Superbowl ive been able to watch in ages. Its 20 past midnight here & this will finish around half three in the morning. And Seattle score!
@Flashy Vic, that's it! I was a wee lass (LOL) but I remember Refrigerator Perry as a nickname! 20 past midnight, you're in the UK, right? Staying up to half three to watch, that's dedication!
@Sand. Nah, I have a nice meatball pizza ready to cook at half time. Im not a big Bruno Mars fan, I cut my teeth on the likes of Zeppelin and Rush. My wife loves him though but shes upstairs deep in the land of Nod.
Honestly Vic I saw him at the Granny's 2 yrs ago and Bruno weened like a Prince/Michael Jackson wannabe. But I'm interested in seeing more because everyone says hes the next big thing.
Excuse me, Vic, but the correct name of "real football" is rugby football. Union, that is. And yes, this is like being up by three trys with your pack winning every scrum.
Surpise Superbowl special reveal: For anyone whose interested, Beckham is the answer to that kindness blind from a few weeks ago about the crippled wee girl. I know because I told one of the entys about it. It happened in my home town and I worked with the husband of someone involved with the family.
I didnt see that ad as we get Terrell Briggs whose co presentiing it here talking to other C4 presenters instead.
In theory, give Peyton a whole half and he can come back from 22 down, Sandy. Lots of Broncos fans will probably be mad that they went for it, but it was actually the right call against Seattle's ball-control offense.
That's great to hear @ Vic! I'm a browns fan but want the Seahawks to win. There was a family near my hometown who lost 2 children in a house fire... One of them was a Seahawks fan. The father received a phone call from Pete Carroll earlier this week sending his condolences. Some of the players reached out them as well.
@Sandybrook I agree Arghtl Ever since the 1st play it's been downhill for the Broncos! :( not looking good but i'm keeping my hopes up for the 2nd half... go Broncos!
Marshawn is only averaging 1.5 yds/carry so far, but Seattle overal is averaging almost five yards per rush, which is brutal. Meanwhile, the Hawks O-line is grinding down the Broncos defense.
I would not like to be Peyton next half. The Seattle defense is going to tee off on pass rushing and play "Kill the QB."
Nothing like watching a game that is so entertaining it keeps you from drinking :( remind me to take aspirin before I go to bed and Ill remind you too.
Convenient timing for Jonas announcement - between Superbowl & PSH they can just slip it in & no one will ask too many questions. Announcement & pics released by Dreft? Who gets a sponsor to release your baby announcement? Makes me believe the fake baby story more... Back to the game now...
I posted at my fb: The NY Jets fired Pete Carroll to hire Rich Kotite (one of the worst NFL coaches ever.) The Patriots fired Pete Carroll to hire Bill Belichek (one of the best coaches ever.)
Wasn't that a cute commercial!! Still no commercials that made me LOL. Have a good night everyone!!! See you tomorrow and maybe talk to you tomorrow if I comment @mel- I'm a 90% lurker too!
I had so many doubts when Carroll picked Wilson to be the Hawks starter at QB...he's the same height and weighs less than I did when I started for my college rugby side. But boy, the kid can play.
Checking In
ReplyDeleteHey Charlie
ReplyDeleteNo more wine. Time for screwdrivers.
ReplyDeleteDid you do your JD shot Cassie?
ReplyDeleteNo, thank GOD. Tails won.
DeleteHey Sandy. Time for some foooootball
ReplyDeleteYup and Broncos are losing already Charlie
ReplyDeleteBut Broncos lost the toss Cassie you owe yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteBefore pregame, we made bets on coin toss regardless of who we were going for.
DeleteI dont think this is gonna be very pretty:(
ReplyDeleteIt may not be a pretty game, but my spirits would definitely be lifted seeing some more shots of Broadway Joe and that elegant fur of his.
ReplyDeleteUsually when Joe wears furs like that hes hammered.
ReplyDelete@ sandy. And Joe keeps winning points with me! On that note, I have decided to relent and begin the booze fest!
DeleteOh ok Cassie on the other thread you said if Broncos lose toss you had to drink JD.
ReplyDeleteOh sorry haha. I'm sorts of messed up haha.
Delete*all
DeleteDrunk girl in the house! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah Yeah
DeleteCharlie you see we got drinking girls here?
ReplyDeleteThere you go Mel :)
ReplyDeleteThat damned safety jacked my first quarter block pools. Bastards.
ReplyDeleteOh well get em in the 2d quarter Charlie. Maybe Manning will forget its a big game.
ReplyDelete80s new wave music love it!
ReplyDeleteI have only a bare idea whats going on but its very colourful. Im watching it on Channel 4 here in the UK.
ReplyDeleteSome big nasty looking fuckers out there. That Denver number 94's backside filled my widescreen TV.
Sobriety test. Cassie, how many eyes am I holding up?

ReplyDeleteHaha, this isn't my first rodeo @sandy... It should get interesting too since I'm ill-prepared. ReplyDeleteEllen is so cute
ReplyDeleteThis hasn't even been close to competitive so far and Denver is very lucky they are only down 8-0.
ReplyDeleteSTFU BONO!
@Flashy Vic, I don't know which number he is, but there's a guy on the Hawks team who I keep calling a refrigerator. I'd be terrified to be on the sidelines when one of those guys crashed out of bounds.
ReplyDeleteFriggin interception
ReplyDeleteAnother great play by Manning! :(
ReplyDeletePick! Whassamatter, Peyton, Hawks D inside your head already?
ReplyDeleteHoly hell Radio Shack Jesus Christ!
ReplyDeleteUmmmm, Will someone please let Denver know that there is a Super Bowl game going on?
ReplyDeleteI think that's the problem Mel. Manning knows its a BIG game and he sucks in them mostly.

ReplyDeleteDayum!!!
ReplyDeleteSwitching from Bud Light Lime to vodka now. This game blows so far.
ReplyDeleteNo professional sports team in the Pacific Northwest has won a title since 1979 things change tonight.
ReplyDeleteStick a fork in Denver, they're done. Fifteen points is all the lead the Hawks need. It'll be nothing but Marshawn between the tackles the rest of the day, with Peyton watching morosely on the sidelines.
ReplyDeleteMy Giants have the greater Manning! He wins big games.
ReplyDelete@Seven.
ReplyDeleteI remember William the Refrigerator Perry for Chicago way back in the 8Os.
Vic you can probably go to bed this game is done but watch Bruno Mars at least.
ReplyDeleteGo Hawks!! Great game so far. Drinking double shot of Flor de Cana for Hawks and PSH. What a day!
ReplyDeleteLol @ Sandy
ReplyDelete@Flashy Vic, that's it! I was a wee lass (LOL) but I remember Refrigerator Perry as a nickname! 20 past midnight, you're in the UK, right? Staying up to half three to watch, that's dedication!
ReplyDeleteTime for cake.
ReplyDelete@Sand. Nah, I have a nice meatball pizza ready to cook at half time. Im not a big Bruno Mars fan, I cut my teeth on the likes of Zeppelin and Rush. My wife loves him though but shes upstairs deep in the land of Nod.
ReplyDeleteGoodbye Peyton nice interception right there
ReplyDeleteThat was.... just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo far I'm nailing it: I predicted three Peyton picks and he's thrown two already.
ReplyDelete"Turn out the lights, the party's over..."
Honestly Vic I saw him at the Granny's 2 yrs ago and Bruno weened like a Prince/Michael Jackson wannabe. But I'm interested in seeing more because everyone says hes the next big thing.
ReplyDeleteIn (real) football terms this is like being 3 nil up after half an hour.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mr. Beckham, Thank you
ReplyDeleteDavid Beckham and his tats blech!
ReplyDeleteBuzzed chicks all hot and bothered after that Beckham commercial.
ReplyDeleteNo way. I'll take his wife before him.
DeleteYeah, okay , youve turned me, i'll watch, but there had better be no fucking nipple slips.
ReplyDeleteThx for your help spelchek on the past 3 posts :( I'm getting to where it will be what it will be
ReplyDeleteNot in this weather Vic its freezing there
ReplyDeleteCome on @Charlie! I'm not even buzzed yet!!! Lol
ReplyDelete"...(real) football..."
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, Vic, but the correct name of "real football" is rugby football. Union, that is. And yes, this is like being up by three trys with your pack winning every scrum.
@Sandy the tats are fine...what would have killed it for me is if they would have let beckham speak.
ReplyDeleteThey keep saying "warmer than expected night" - why is everyone wearing quilted jackets and scarves?
ReplyDeleteI might sneak into the book club meeting later and see how plastered they are.
ReplyDeleteSurpise Superbowl special reveal:
ReplyDeleteFor anyone whose interested, Beckham is the answer to that kindness blind from a few weeks ago about the crippled wee girl. I know because I told one of the entys about it. It happened in my home town and I worked with the husband of someone involved with the family.
I didnt see that ad as we get Terrell Briggs whose co presentiing it here talking to other C4 presenters instead.
Haha@Mel
ReplyDeleteI think you hinted that back then @Vic but never really said it was him. Honestly he seems like a decent dude
ReplyDeleteNice reveal, Vic. Thanks
ReplyDeleteBroncs going for it on 4th down was the right call, despite not making it.
ReplyDeleteNo choice down 22 with a minute left in a half @B
ReplyDeleteSo sad that it's Sunday
ReplyDeleteIn theory, give Peyton a whole half and he can come back from 22 down, Sandy. Lots of Broncos fans will probably be mad that they went for it, but it was actually the right call against Seattle's ball-control offense.
ReplyDeleteGiants had no shot vs. The Ravens that night either lost by more then 30. Same thing is gonna happen tonite
ReplyDeleteThat's great to hear @ Vic! I'm a browns fan but want the Seahawks to win. There was a family near my hometown who lost 2 children in a house fire... One of them was a Seahawks fan. The father received a phone call from Pete Carroll earlier this week sending his condolences. Some of the players reached out them as well.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with you @B if they had showed anything at all to give anyone any hope they could even move the ball.
ReplyDelete@Sandybrook I agree
ReplyDeleteArghtl Ever since the 1st play it's been downhill for the Broncos! :(
not looking good but i'm keeping my hopes up for the 2nd half...
go Broncos!
Ok Bruno save this shit and lets see what's up in the book club
ReplyDeleteThis is the big Seinfeld reunion?
ReplyDeleteMarshawn is only averaging 1.5 yds/carry so far, but Seattle overal is averaging almost five yards per rush, which is brutal. Meanwhile, the Hawks O-line is grinding down the Broncos defense.
ReplyDeleteI would not like to be Peyton next half. The Seattle defense is going to tee off on pass rushing and play "Kill the QB."
Love the Seinfeld commercial - helllloooo Newman!
ReplyDeleteBruno sure is a wee guy
ReplyDeleteHe's pocket sized for sure!
DeleteBruno! Bruno! Bruno! He's fucking awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd he looks like an extra from Casino...but he is gettin' it!
ReplyDelete@ Reno. Right?!!
ReplyDeleteBruno reeks of awesomeness
ReplyDeleteNo no no Bruno isnt awful but hes copying ppl who did this tons better.
ReplyDeleteCHILIS!
Chilis blow him away sorry
ReplyDeleteI said NO NIPPLES!
ReplyDeleteThat especially means you,Anthony!
Chilis blow for sure @sandy
ReplyDeleteI kid, I kid...kinda ;)
Ive seen worse halftime shows. Hes not bad but he isn't original nor groundbreaking
ReplyDeleteBruno nailed it! No lip synching for him! He's real talent right there.
ReplyDeleteYea I lied about no nipples didn't I?
ReplyDeleteLittle, Little Richard.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
Delete@ Vic... You can call him Mini Dick for short!
ReplyDeleteI was blown away by how well both RHCP and Bruno Mars did on the halftime show. They both gave awesome performances.
ReplyDeleteI need more music! Halftime too short!
ReplyDeleteRHCP FTW!
ReplyDeleteMars looked like he just got back from the Vegas show.
I guess that's it for the excitement for the rest of the night until Prince guest stars on Zooey's show after the game is off.
ReplyDeleteAgreed
DeleteGoodbye!
ReplyDeleteNot to y'all to Denver
ReplyDeleteThis is not a fucking game. Now I'm drinking for GP...sake here I come!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteRemember we all have to get up for Monday--moderation pleez!:(
ReplyDeleteNo work for me tomorrow!!! Yay me!
ReplyDeleteLucky!
DeleteMost of these 80s commercials are lame but if that really was Tim Tebow that was good
ReplyDeleteYay Mel
ReplyDeleteEli=the best Manning. Archie>Peyton too.
ReplyDeleteGooooo Seahawks!!!
ReplyDeleteNothing like watching a game that is so entertaining it keeps you from drinking :( remind me to take aspirin before I go to bed and Ill remind you too.
ReplyDeleteI beat you are one happy lady Seachica!
ReplyDeleteHappy and about to be very, very drunk. Naked in the street party tonight!!
Delete,
Bruce Willis looks pretty beat right there
ReplyDeleteHas there ever been a shutout Super Bowl?
ReplyDeleteI want Stephen Colbert to come back, even if he is hawking pistachios.
Sorry Sandy :( This game is borderline offensive...is it rigged or what? Denver has to intentionally be playing this poorly
ReplyDeleteI think this Budweiser ad with the soldier was done in my area a couple of days ago. And it was real.
ReplyDeleteHey guys - how is the game going?
ReplyDeleteGiants got shutout vs. The Ravens @7
ReplyDelete@Seachica. Photographic proof required.
ReplyDeleteHi TTM it sux.
ReplyDelete@TTM: 29-0, with less than 5 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Seahawks in the lead.
DeleteAbsolutely need selfies@seachica
ReplyDelete29-0?? That's not a game, that's a practice. Denver sucking wind?
ReplyDeleteYay @ Seachica! I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteWe all should have went to TTMS book club she had to cancel.
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN SEAHAWKS!
Vegas bookies are crying.
ReplyDeleteOh man. To quote B Profane, stick a fork in the Broncos.
ReplyDeleteSeahawks 36, Broncos 0 - less than 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Maybe Seachica can send the evidence into Enty to post as part of his random photos! Lol
ReplyDeleteY'all gotta wait until July 4th. Lol.
DeleteJust ouch.
ReplyDeleteEminems car commercial the other yr about Detroit blew away Bob Dylan just now
ReplyDeleteIm just staying now to see Seachica's nudey pics.
ReplyDeleteMan. What a suckfest
ReplyDeleteAh SuperBowl is a tough night for a book club; we'll get at it again next week. Good news is: much wine laid in stock
ReplyDeleteI would dance naked atop the Space Needle to celebrate this win if they'd let me.
ReplyDeleteWhat book were you 3 talking about @TTM? (I lurked a bit)
ReplyDeleteWell I would be more sad if my true love , Packers, we're being beaten this bad.
ReplyDeleteIll pass at seeing that @B
ReplyDeleteNo shutout tonight :(!
Silly sandy, should have said hi. We're doing "The Quiet Game" by Greg Iles. Good book
ReplyDeletefinally!!
ReplyDeleteDenver on the board!
ReplyDelete@TTM, I unsubscribed from that post b/c I haven't read it. I may join you! Next Sunday, pick a lonely post - is that right?
"it" being the book. Hello, vino, my old friend.
DeleteThat's exactly it, Seven, we would love to have you join us! Sandy, you too, fella. I know Reno is in!
ReplyDeleteAhh a crime mystery very good.

ReplyDelete@ violet. I agree. I was hoping to get a few laughs. Owell! Thank goodness for CDAN tonight!
ReplyDeleteNaught, naughty Hawks, passing for another TD. Doing a great impression of the '85 Bears though.
ReplyDeleteYeah Sandy!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching double digits!!
Nope dont let anyone take pics of me no matter how drunk I get especially dick shots.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteManning couldn't even throw up at the minute.
Yeah take those pants off douche :(
ReplyDeleteManning is going to throw another pick for a TD return, I just know it.
ReplyDeleteThey should take him out its done
ReplyDeleteYou ok, sandy??
ReplyDeleteThx Mel and I have one left too and 3 bottles of wine that seem to be safe
ReplyDeleteThree more beers,Sandy, and you become an honourary Brit.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine. I was referring to the Stamos commercial where they told him to take his pants off.
ReplyDeleteI wish I cold time travel back to Friday night
ReplyDeleteShit that would be an honor but I only have one left :(
ReplyDeleteDont forget to take back a Sports Almanac and hoverboard, Cassandra.
ReplyDeleteWhy Cassie? You're drunk!
ReplyDeleteI feel like caca
DeleteConvenient timing for Jonas announcement - between Superbowl & PSH they can just slip it in & no one will ask too many questions. Announcement & pics released by Dreft? Who gets a sponsor to release your baby announcement? Makes me believe the fake baby story more... Back to the game now...
ReplyDeleteS.E.A.H.A.W.K.S.
In honor of this shiteous game, I think a pear martini is calling my name. As a lurker 90% of the time, I thank everyone here for the entertainment!
ReplyDeleteI posted at my fb:
ReplyDeleteThe NY Jets fired Pete Carroll to hire Rich Kotite (one of the worst NFL coaches ever.)
The Patriots fired Pete Carroll to hire Bill Belichek (one of the best coaches ever.)
That's the Seattle Seahawks up by 30 pts.........
ReplyDeleteIts not nice to fool with the NFC West.
Peyton Manning's HOF credentials are just going...down...the drain.
ReplyDeleteLurk less post more @Mel
ReplyDeleteEric Cartman, Mork and Mindy, Douglas Fairbanks (thanks wiki), erm... John Denver, anyone with a bong, your boys took a hell of a beating tonight.
ReplyDeleteThey waited until the end of the game for the horse commercial w the damn dog?
ReplyDelete@Seachica. What?! Thats a knaves trick! You promised beaver!
ReplyDeleteif it was the '85 bears playing (or any bears playing) i'd actually watch instead of sitting at home, drinking soup, and studying
ReplyDeleteThanks sandy! I was finally brave enough to send in a reader pic this year. Baby steps, I guess. Lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats Seattle!
ReplyDeleteI loved how you could clearly read Pete Carroll's lips saying "Oh shit!" when he saw the Gatorade dunk coming.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that a cute commercial!! Still no commercials that made me LOL. Have a good night everyone!!! See you tomorrow and maybe talk to you tomorrow if I comment @mel- I'm a 90% lurker too!
ReplyDeleteWere all friends here @Mel mostly ....dont be afraid to share what you think and feel!
ReplyDelete@Melpomene. I'd send one of me in but humanity hasnt degenerated enough yet to deserve such a punishment.
ReplyDeleteOk goodnight all--take your aspirin just before going to bed
ReplyDeleteI had so many doubts when Carroll picked Wilson to be the Hawks starter at QB...he's the same height and weighs less than I did when I started for my college rugby side. But boy, the kid can play.
ReplyDeleteHaha @ Vic!! I'm sure that's a lie! G'night guys!!
ReplyDelete
