Shia LaBeouf Needs Some Help

At some point you start to feel really sorry for Shia LaBeouf. It is the same thing you felt when watching Amanda Bynes self-destruct before your eyes. At first, all her Tweets and ridiculous behavior was something you wanted to see everyday. At some point though you realized she was sick and needed help and were just hoping she would get that help before she ended up killing herself or someone else. Shia LaBeouf has spent the past several years progressively getting worse. He has gone from the occasional racist drunk to a racist drunk who gets into fights with almost anyone at any time and is on a downward spiral of drugs and booze that is going to see him dead. Yesterday in Berlin he had a rock bottom type day. At a press conference for his new movie Nymphomaniac he gave a rambling quote during the press conference about sardines while sporting a missing tooth and then walking out. Later on the red carpet he showed up to the premiere with a paper bag covering his face and the message, "I am not famous anymore," scrawled on the front. The guy needs help but he always pushed away people close to him who could help. He probably would listen to his mom though.

  1. I'm not overly fond of this Enty, but I think s/he did a good job on this tough story. :)

I'm loving this look on him - it's a HUGE improvement! Bwahahahahahaha!

Good morning CDANers ... let's all try and put the frustration and fights of yesterday behind us and start afresh! Everyone play nice!

  4. It would be easier to feel sorry for the beef if he weren't such a pustule before his spiral. He does need help but its up to him.

@Steampunk - well said. I share the same sentiments. He's a horrible person so it's kind of hard to feel sorry for him.

  6. He used to be a great actor, let's focus on that! He really drew the eye onscreen.

Step, you'll have to give us a hint as to what we can see you in!

    1. Sorry TTM, he was a train wreck, to me. I be seen 4? Movies he was in and only One scene comes to mind where I saw potential and that was 5 seconds long.

    2. We will have to agree to disagree then, Steamy. I am thinking of even his younger roles

  7. hes probably going to get his wish because no one is going to hire him because he's an insurance risk and the budget office wont allow it.

  8. I have to admit, that paper bag is an inspired attention getter and a great plausible deniability escape. Any crazy comments could be denied as' the bag muffled my response, you misunderstood..' Not to mention hiding the signs of using on his face.
    A+!

  9. He used to be a cutie (loved him in Holes) but he's gradually turned himself into Shia LaDouche with his scraggly beard, unkempt look, and horrible attitude.

If it is drugs and alcohol, I hope gets treatment because there's no such thing as a*hole rehab.

  10. Oh Shia cut it out with the nutty behavior or i may start wishing that bag was plastic.

  12. I do not feel sorry for him, and stop using "you" when you mean "I." You don't speak for me. This little pissant is another entitled spoiled single child who needed a big brother or sister to kick his ass now and again. There is something seriously wrong with this whiny little asshole.

  14. If he didn't want to be famous... he would not have showed up on this red carpet. He is just an immature twerp begging for attention. Pathetic.

Shia's prob is too many syncophants around him since he was a kid telling him his sh*t don't stink...he thought he could rip off real artist because Bey & Gaga do all the time, but got busted instead

  16. There have been blinds suggesting Shia and his mother have had sex. With each other. So, if true, that could possibly mess a guy up. Motherfucking isn't for everyone.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I suspect his mother has major mental illness and this is why her judgment was so impaired that she (allegedly) had sexual contact with her son. Then he would be contending not only with having been sexually abused, but also having inherited the genetic predisposition for major mental illness from his mother. I saw a picture of her once and she immediately struck me as the poster person for bipolar disorder or something related.

  17. Um, Harry, I think you meant "for ANYONE".

    {shudder}

    He did once he thought his mother was the sexiest woman in the world. {double shudder}

  19. The speech that he did at the press conference is a famous speech that an ex Manchester United player called Eric Cantona did after he was suspended for karate kicking a fan for abusing him.

  20. I'm quitting my job at a residential crisis shelter for teens (got a better job with more clinical focus elsewhere) but last night I watched HOLES with a few of the kids and we talked about it and they enjoyed it a lot. And LeBeouf or however you spell it was pretty good in that role. I think a lot of teen stars get frozen developmentally and don't really develop the flexibility or maturity to deal with the adult world, and they develop a hard and brittle ego that can't deal with the challenges of life on earth. Poor guy -- he's a total jerk these days. Something's off.

    1. Congratulations, Barton! Best of luck in your new job..
I agree. That kind of attention/isolation and applause for Not being yourself has got to be a deep lesson, especially if asking for time for your own needs is labeled ' demanding'. For a shaky personality... Bad. That said, he's still an ass and responsible for his behavior whether the influence is emotional or chemical. HE needs To get help.
Jeeze Barton, forgive.. Feel lectury today :-\ and since you recognize what is happening to him too, its a student to the Teach...

  22. @Meanie, I guess I'm Enty #7, #11 works weekends. :b

@Barton Fink, I loved Holes (I know I said that already)! Hard to believe it was only 11 years ago - look where Shia is now. I agree, something is off. His spiral actually reminds me a little bit of Joaquin Phoenix (who is a brilliant actor, though).

    Congrats on the new job!

    1. Seven, Joaquin's "spiral" was a well documented attempt at trolling the world. Interesting comparison as I've often wondered if Shia is doing the same but with more success.

      Delete
    2. @LowKey, I definitely remember that and yeah, if that's his game plan, he's doing better than Joaquin and Casey did.

Interesting thing about both Joaquin and Shia is the inappropriate sexuality in their backgrounds (Joaquin with that Children of God cult and Shia's decidedly odd way of talking about his mother as the sexiest woman in the world and saying he'd marry her if she wasn't his mother).

Hey, I saw Thor Dark World last night. Thor is so nice to look at but Hiddleston is definitely the better actor. I haven't seen him in anything else but I hope he gets a juicy role.

  23. i feel very torn on the issue of personal responsibility with mental illness.

for example, my father is bi-polar. unmedicated for my entire childhood. he would beat the piss out of me up until i moved out at 18 and worse at times when i was even younger.

i dont blame him or hold it against him anymore. but at the same time, i remember him refusing to take his meds, i remember him lying to child services, i remember him refusing to go to treatment. he made those decisions. he made those choices, and i had to deal with the consequences of those choices.

at the same time, i'm an addict. regardless of the reasons for my addiction, it affects my mental health and actions, and i am held personally responsible for those choices by others regardless of mental illness, and i accept that responsibility and agree that I should be held responsible, even if at times the double standards i see frustrate me.

    1. Yup.

In the end, I Accept that I can only be responsible for My Actions. ( its pretty freeing in a Fuck 'em! I said it/did it, I'm responsible for the result!, stop making it about you, way.)

  24. Shia is a kook who likes pot and I suspect suffers from manic depression,or another form of mental illness.

Shame,he is ruining his image and career.

  25. This is nothing like the Amanda Bynes situation, because I have no desire to see photos of Shia's ass in a bathroom mirror.

  26. @VIP: Nah. Still don't care.

  27. mayb hes just an asshole

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah if he didn't want to be famous he could just drop out, quit, whatever and go to college and get a degree. Don't walk the red carpet.
It does appear to be an Amanda Bynes type spiral however.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Please get help. You can get better.

  30. If he stayed off the sauce for at least a month, a lot of his issues would disappear. Alcohol is a helluva drug.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm so embarrassed for him. I actually feel bad for a lot of celebs. It must be hard getting a lot of money and attention, being told you're the best, being pampered and waited on...then one day it's all taken away from you and you're basically nothing. That's tough. I'm so glad I'm a nobody.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm probably going to get fired one one day, opening one of VIP's links.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Here's what I reckon: Shia's either doing a Bynes (in which case, Godspeed), or doing a Joaquin "I'm still here" (as @Seven alluded to, in which case, good luck), or doing an "Artist formerly known as Prince" (in which case, go kick the corporate controlling asshole money grabbers), or he's just an actual La Douche (in which case, please go away and seek attention elsewhere).

    That's what I reckon, anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wasn't Shia a Disney/Nick kid? Splains a lot. I just hope the dude gets proper help and gets rid of hangers on who enable this shit behaviour

    ReplyDelete
  35. You can put that bag over your head as much as you want Shia. We still know you're the guy who ruined Indiana Jones.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Someone needs to give him the memo that if he doesn't want to be famous, he needs to get a new career. I am getting tired of all the celebs acting like they are above having to have their picture taken or do publicity. That comes with the job folks, don't like it, get a new job.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's hard t have empathy when someone is such an asswipe. Like Lindsay.. She is an assh*le. Britney and Amanda are sad, so sad. Shia and Lindsay are self-indulgent, narcissistic cleptos, who don't have much regard at all for people around them. That rambling speech of Shias wasn't even his own. He was quoting footballer, Eric Cantona, but, per usual, forgot to give author credits... And, note to Shia, if you don't want to be famous, do voice overs only and stay off red carpets... And, Lindsay, if you don't want so,many legal troubles, quit breaking the f*cking law. Dumbasses.

    ReplyDelete
  38. He seems like a tortured soul. This is not fun to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  39. He had an obligation to be on this red carpet, no? We'll see if he really wants to not be famous after his promotion duties are done. He reminds me of Kanye, he'll never see any fault in his own behaviour. Even when he apologized to Alec Baldwin and others for differences in that play he dropped out of, he was self-righteous.

  40. LeBeef has always been a crap actor who got incredibly lucky. It's all over now - everyone knows you're a talentless douche, so make way, kid. You are no Philip Seymour Hoffman, and no one cares. Deal with it.
