Shayne Lamas Has Miscarriage- Hospitalized

Former Bachelor winner and reality star Shayne Lamas was hospitalized yesterday after suffering a miscarriage in her home. Original reports said that she was in a coma but her father, in a statement says that is not true. "We are so grateful that my daughter, Shayne Lamas-Richie, is conscious and stable. She is not in a coma, however she did miscarry the child she was carrying."

He went on to say that she will remain in the hospital until doctors decide she can leave. Lamas was 16 weeks pregnant when she collapsed in her home. The doctors determined she was bleeding internally and after an operation she lost her child. Her husband, Nik Richie said he was taking some time off from blogging and had this to say, " I'm not the best person in the world, but I love my wife and my family. Shayne is my good person. She is my support and my smile. I found you and I never want to let you go. We will overcome."

  1. I'm sad for her that such a private thing as a miscarriage is made so public. That butt-wipe Nik Richie will hopefully learn at least a small lesson on what it feels like to have your most private moments exposed for all the world to see.

(Nik Richie runs The Dirty, a website where anyone can gossip and slander anyone they want. He's a tool.)

  2. I thought she was kind of sweet on The Bachelor. So sorry for their loss and hope she's ok.

  3. Nik Richie is right, he is far from being the best person in the world.

I hope his wife recovers soon.

    That's terrible news :-(

Nik's received a huge amount of support on The Dirty, which is heart-warming.

I was really shocked to see that Lorenzo Lamas has so few Twitter followers (4,088) when I searched for his account last night for an update ... he doesn't even have a blue tick! :-/ I loved him in Falcon Crest ...

    1. I like TabRag. *ducks*

I feel awful for their loss. No one should have to experience that. :(

  6. @Renoblondee - I agree. She had a certain innocence and nativity on the Bachelor that made her more likeable. Maybe not the sharpest tool in the shed, but this is really sad and I hope she / her family get through it.

  7. I have no idea who she is (Lorenzo's daughter aside) but that sucks. You think you're on the home straight once you're past 12 weeks. Sorry for her.

  9. Miscarriages are very common, but to have one as late as 16 weeks is very sad.

i believe that thoughts have power to them and this man puts a lot of negativity out into the universe - there are numerous people who wish him nothing but misery. shayne lives a rather pointless and vapid life based around the material things that her husbands cruel career provides for her. they don't deserve this, no one really deserves a lot of anything that happens in life, but i hope that a major event like this can lead to a reevaluation of priorities, actions, and values. Nik says all the time on his blog that the things that he posts and the reverberations they leave behind are a wake-up call for people; that one's behavior has consequences. Maybe this is one those "wake-up calls" for him and his wife.

In between the vitriol and caustic judgements of complete strangers on his website, Nik posts about issues that truly matter - it's obvious that he cares deeply about animals and children and he quietly donated his time and money to Haitian earthquake relief. I hope THAT Nik Richie is the one that comes out of this horrible situation as a stronger man.

  11. A very sad and difficult thing to go through. I lost a baby at almost 20 weeks, and it was devastating.

    1. So very sorry to hear that Bellaluna. I had a couple of miscarriages a few years ago and it is so difficult. Thankfully I went on to have two beautiful children, so it wasn't the end.
BTW, are you The Original Bellaluna on a different site? Tell me to mind my own, but she was lovely to me when I used to read over there.

  12. I've no idea who she is but the loss of a child, at any stage, is heartbreaking. I hope she has lots of support. She's gonna need it.

  13. aliciabutterfly said it very well. This is a good time for NikRitchie to take a moral inventory on his lifes work. He is a classA dick who may do 1000 shitty things but 2good things(every now and then) so hes still a dick. Good people do bad things-Theyre still good. Bad people do good things- Theyre still bad.
Sorry for the mothers loss, that's terrible. He's still a bad person.

  15. For those that are saying this is karma against Nik Richie. I don't think his wife was sleeping with underage students. Shame on those who wish them bad.

  17. I feel bad for Shayne. I wish her the best.

She needs to get her life in order and dump her piece of shit husband. His karma may be effecting her.

  18. I lost a baby at 18 weeks and was never the same. I do hope this helps them grow as people and that they have the support necessary to weather this grief.

  19. To suggest that karma is the reason someone would lose a child in such a heartbreaking way is so hurtful to those who have actually been through it. No one, no matter how "bad" they are, deserves to go through something so jarring and painful.

  20. having been through it, the comments about them deserving it because he's a gossip blogger are just vile. Miscarrying is a soul-wrenching sadness. Leave the girl alone.
