    4. That WAS perfect, Honeykatt. It sums it up perfectly. I liked her, myself. 47 is my age, and that's the jarring part of it.

  4. Yes, so sad......she was a divisive character here in Australia but used her outspoken ways for good, bringing attention to many lost causes. Hopefully she can rest now....

  8. Depression is truly horrible. Didn't know who she was but this is truly sad.
It's very hard to keep positive when you have depression and when you are you have to keep working on not sinking back into the dark hole- really horrible

  10. Really tragic. She was hospitalised last year after being trolled on her twitter. She was very brave about speaking about it & revealing her depression to the world. RIP Charlotte. May your tragic loss have a positive outcome in the continued dialogue about bullying & mental health.

  12. Very sad indeed. My husband suffers from depression and when he gets into the dark hole it's heartbreaking. Telling him how much I need and love him feels so inadequate. The worst part is what her family must be going through.

    1. It's not inadequate - hearing those words means alot. As long as he has loving people around him and he continues to work etc so he has a feeling of purpose he'll get through it.

  14. Sherry, depression runs thru my family, i totally empathize with u and hubby. I think it was churchhill who called depression the big black dog. Its a bitch.

  15. I was going to say that too Aunt. Yes Churchill named it Black Dog.

  16. And my hugs to you too, Licky. Like Honeycatt said, it kills right out in the open. No matter how hard they may have tried (see David Foster Wallace) sometimes the family is unable to save their loved ones.

  17. Charlotte was the "tough love" judge on Aus's Next Top Model. And behind the scenes she was mother hen and supported a lot of the girls after their season had ended.

Charlotte was also trolled really hard on social media and she even found out who one troll was and had them fired from their job.

I really hope the keyboard warriors realise their online actions have real life consequences.
