Blind Items Revealed

November 5, 2013

This A list actress who is A list strictly because of awards and body of work and talent rather than popularity has been on a 15 day fast because she is scheduled to host an event with a fashion designer who designed her something to wear and made it so small that the only way she would be able to fit in it would be to lost 10-15 pounds off her size zero frame because the designer would not adjust it to her size.

Jessica Chastain/Karl Lagerfeld

  10. Derek, do you think this is a widespread issue in the industry?

  11. sandybrooks, please don't think about punishing yourself by becoming a model! Big hugs...

  13. I never of heard of Jessica Chastain? Is she pretty? Maybe if she had the body of a Kardashian she would not have to worry about this!

  14. Such an arrogant jerk. She should have worn a gown by a competitor, and smiled sweetly at Karl all evening.

  15. Karl photographed me while I was pregnant, and he loved how my body looked! He is so nice, and Choupette is the cutest!

  16. @laura.. I ran into a model before, thin as a rail, (mind you I didn't weigh more than 99 lbs until I was like 25) but she was stunning and we got into this whole conversation about how she was going to have to somehow lose 10 more lbs for a show..

  17. She's not a size zero before or after.

  18. You know this could all be solved if actress's actually paid for their dresses like the rest of us.

    ReplyDelete
  19. She shoulda kept the weight and busted the seams of that rag!! Oh karl, you made the dress too small!!

  20. MISCH--Hayden Penetiere bought a Tom Ford dress off the rack and when asked who she was wearing said Tom Ford. Next day Tom Fords people made a public statement basically saying she was not authorized to wear his designs that night lol

    1. it's not that she wasn't authorized to wear tom ford, it's that he only dresses one actress for every awards show. and hayden p is not a naomi watts that designers are falling all over each other to dress.

  21. @aemish: IKR? I was 80 lbs. and we couldn't believe someone would let themselves get up to 99. You must've felt like a whale. So sorry you didn't fit in. You're great now, though!

  26. What the Kunty Karl couldn't whack a red wig on one of those skeletons in his Krypt and call it a day? How else does he find the time to make a mess of Chanel?

    ReplyDelete
  27. So Karl was being bitchy... color me shocked.

  28. I DID NOT CALL ANYONE A "WALE"!!!

As a fabric, corduroy is considered a durable cloth. Corduroy is found in the construction of trousers, jackets and shirts. The width of the cord is commonly referred to as the size of the "wale" (i.e. the number of ridges per inch).[3] The lower the "wale" number, the thicker the width of the wale (e.g., 4-wale is much thicker than 11-wale). Corduroy’s wale count per inch can vary from 1.5 to 21, although the traditional standard falls somewhere between 10 and 12. Wide wale is more commonly used in trousers and furniture upholstery (primarily couches); medium, narrow, and fine wale fabrics are usually found in garments worn above the waist.

  29. @Derek, not true, one reporter got all a tiff because she was wearing 'off the rack' and btw, that dress cost 10K. Not exactly a sale at Dress Barn and tweeted it was a bad form.

Tom Ford people only said they dressed Naomi Watts. I am not sure how they can authorize or not authorize something bought in a store.

Tom actually sent Hayden a lovely bouquet of roses and a note that said she looked beautiful.

I think Hayden was clever and had gumption knowing she was going to lose so stepped it up to get some attention and wore the dress she wanted. Not some ill fitting dress thrown on her by some stylist with a designer with a lesser name.

Tom only dresses on actress at an event. Hayden told who she wore never said he dressed her for the event.

  30. I'll give ten million dollars to the first nominated actress who will go an entire awards season answering the "Who are you wearing?" question with "Who gives a fuck?".

    ReplyDelete
  31. I've seen several guys answer "A suit". I loved that Hayden P. refused to be a paid up walking billboard for some dressmaker. How did a movie awards red carpet event stop being about movies & start being only about the fashion industry? I'm going to start covering New York & Paris fashion week & make the celebrities talk about what their favorite movies were this year.

  32. Kunty Karl at his best!

  33. If the photo that Frida posted is the event and dress in question, then I have to say Jessica Chastain doesn't look *that* tiny, not scarily emaciated model tiny. Not a size ... what is it called? Size sub-zero? ... as the blind says - which is a good thing!

I knew an ex-airline stewardess, who basically got all the same body crazy as models get because of all the pressure to be small and perfectly dressed at every moment of a long haul flight. She said you had to be immaculate the entire time and if something went wrong, like a broken nail or inadequate lipstick coverage, that you would get a severe reprimand. If you got whatever number of these reprimands, you would be demoted. She said she had to get out of it because it was making her utterly self absorbed and emotionally sub-par. Hats off to her though - she always looked very well put together!

  34. Most of the gay designers seem to be misogynist whether they themselves are fat or not. I think Michael Kors is one exception but I could be wrong. I would tell Karl to shove it. Maybe Chastain did.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would not put Hayden on such a pedestal if Ford offered to dress her for free like she was gonna say no.

I guess the Ford brand wanted to only officially comp 2 celebrities as an exclusive as they dressed Naomi Watts and Liev Shreiber a matching set if you will.

If any actress pulled out a vintage Tom Ford dress and said so, please, esp if it was someone like Streep.

Poor Jessica ... that Karl is nothing but a reptilian shapeshifter! Worringly, Guiliana Rancid always goes on and on about how wonderful Jessica is; what's the bet when she saw her in the dress, she told her how wonderful she looked and ooohed and aahed about it constantly on that dreadful 'Fashion Police' programme. It's enough to give anyone an eating disorder!

@laura ramona: That sounds terrible! I hope you're in a better place now. I stay very slim from eating a lot of green and orange vegetables and little else :-( I eat a lot more than others I work with though.

  40. Ugh fashion designers really need to get over themselves. And she needs to dump his ass and look for another designer worth her spectacular self!
