Blind Item #3

This Academy Award winning actress doesn't work much any longer but at least one of her kids does. Our actress will always be a B and will probably always have A list name recognition. It was really awkward when she went into one of her regular stores and was told she had a bunch of clothes on hold and did she want to pick them up. It turns out they weren't for the actress but for her husband's mistress. She had used the husband's name to hold them and the cashier assumed they must belong to our actress so told her about them.

    Gosh, how awful ...

I thought there were measures in stores to stop this sort of thing from happening - especially at the high-end retailers.

I worked as a PA to a man in Hollywood in the '90s and was told under no circumstances was I to mention to the wife who had called the husband. And on a regular basis it was her friends that called him. It was awful!

  7. I had thought Goldie Hawn because I couldn't remember if Melanie griffith had a daughter ... then thought of Dakota.

Ugh ... ignore ... Meryl is still actively working.

I wondered about Reese, but Ava isn't acting (got her mixed up with Heather Locklear's Ava, who is acting).

Leaning towards Melanie-god if she had just laid of the cosmetic surgery-though it's gotta be hard getting older when you used to be the hot starlet & now her daughter is getting the hype

  19. I'm not a prude, and I definitely no saint, but I cannot fathom these people...they treat their marriages like a piece of clothing they put on or remove as it suits them. How do you stand in front of your friends, parents, the deity you worship, and swear life-long fidelity to another person, then unzip/spread your legs for anybody that looks at you twice? If your marriage is that miserable, leave. Cheaters don't just hurt their spouse, they shame themselves.

    5. Thank you. No, I'm really not. I'm alternating between rage, pain, and numbness. Right now, I hate him.

  21. I wonder if Enty made the same mistake that some of us did, thinking Melanie had won the Oscar for 'Working Girl' instead of just being nominated. She did win the Golden Globe for that role.

  22. Tom Hanks would never cheat on Rita. She's got brass hands on every set of balls in Hollywood and she's not afraid to squeeze.

I like Melanie for it but as has been pointed out, she was only nominated (she did win a GG). If CZJ's kids were acting, she might fit.

Rita has never been nominated for an Oscar.

  24. I thought briefly of Kate Capshaw then realised she has--rightly--never been nominated. For anything, probably.

  25. Playing detective I actually went through Bests and Supportings. The only ones that even fit in terms of having acting children were Maggie Smith (Toby Stephens, and doesn't work because Maggie's rather spectacularly acting in Downton); Sissy Spacek (but Schuyler Fisk doesn't seem to have an acting credit past 2011)...

So we're left with Goldie (who is not married) and Melanie (who didn't win the Oscar).

Either Enty got the facts wrong or deliberately changed details, 'cause the widdle bitty disclaimer says that sometimes happens.

Ps--I charge 500 a day plus expenses for my PI work.

    1. Vanessa Redgrave won best supporting actress oscar for Julia. Her daughter Jolie Richardson is currently in Vampire Academy along with 2 other 2014 film credits. Just sayin'...

  28. The offspring doesn't necessarily need to be an actor. The BI says working, so maybe something else? Is Mia Farrow married?

  31. This has got Melanie "Working Girl" Griffith written all over it. Somebody that worked w her years ago told me she was in a pretty bad way, even then. ☹

  32. I like the Annette Bening guess. I'm surprised someone working in a high end place would make such a mistake.
