George Michael ... hey, don't judge - in '85 he was a hot little stud muffin
Yep, as you reach your twilight years you don't crush so much as hope to surround yourself with people with warm hearts who'll take care of you when you fall down the stairs
Joe from wishbone. I used to crush hard when I was younger, even harder when i was a teenager. I haven't had a crush in a while though and I miss it :( nothing beats the feeling of having a big crush on someone
In kindergarten. His name was Gordon and he had red hair. I showed him my affection by knocking him down on the playground and kissing him! On the mouth! I was a saucy little minx!
It is!! It gives you all those feels from way back when ( now that I've been with Mr Violet for a considerable number of years it's good to let the heart flutter a little - not that I'd tell Mr Violet that).
Im crushing on Jeremy Renner-well, his charactor in the Bourne Legacy. And hope im never too old to have crushes! It has nothing to do with being happily married;crushes in make believe world.
I'm fifty-two, and never really stopped thinking of myself as 16, so the crush that everybody who pays attention to my comments here already judges me for doesn't seem as creepy to me as it does to them.
I have two. A celeb crush on a A list TV actress on a long running crime show. The other is on my best friend of 28 years. I've been crushing on her from HS to today. But she's married and she's happy. Her happiness matters more than mine.
I don't have one currently, but a few years ago I was crushing on one of me neighbors. My husband knew about it and would give me a hard time whenever we hung out together and the guy would give me a hug or something. It was fun and it ran its course and we're all still pals. Just sticking with Keanu for now ( and 4 evah
I've been crushing on the same girl for 30 years. Other crushes have come and gone but Susan has always been on my mind and in my heart. We were in grade 8 together and the first time I laid eyes on her I was a goner. She resembled Christina Hendricks, from head to toe. Same big knockers too. She had long blonde hair, the blondest blonde hair I have ever seen in my life, and the smoothest skin I have ever seen in my life as well. There wasn't a guy in High School that didn't get a little tongue tied talking to her. She was thart pretty. We had two make-out sessions, one of which was interrupted by the Cops. I still see her around once in a while when I visit back home. She's still super pretty. On her 2nd husband. A lot of guys have that one girl, "the one that got away', the one that makes you ache a little when you think of her. She's mine.
Still in lust mode with my husband, there's no desire/need to crush. That doesn't mean I don't occasionally fantasize a quickie with other men. On occasion. :)
The last crush was a naughty "office crush" many years ago (before meeting my husband) and in retrospect I'm glad it went nowhere. It would have created a scandal of epic proportions in our worlds.
I had an office crush some years ago. I *think* it was reciprocated. Both of us married ( happily) and would never have acted on it but that little frisson of excitement at seeing him walking down the corridor unexpectedly, ugh so much fun.
I'm 57 and in my 40s I didn't really crutch on anyone. I thought I was just too mature for that kind of thing. Oh wait even then I crushed on Liam Neesam and Jeff Bridges.
I'm happy to report in my 50s I have found myself crushing on some men hard! In hindsight, I consider it a sign of health. No one real tho, usually actors. And I don't flit around either I stay loyal and true at least for a few years. :)
WAIT do characters from books count? Cause there were a few in my 40s that I had STRONG fantasies about. Just remembered those. Hehe.
don't know about my first crush, my first boyfriend was Jamie in kindergarten, we were always kissing. I remember having a crush on Robby Rosa from Menudo. Never too old for crushes.
Fantasy world, Colin Firth, Matt Damon, Jim Caveziel.
Real world, nobody. But I do know of a couple of older gentlemen who have a crush on me. They are cute and not skeezy, they kid my husband they would steal me away.
After 25 years, hubby is really all the man I need.
Fantasy world: back in the day it was David Duchovny from the X-Files days, for sure. Now, I can't really think of anyone.
Real world: there is that consultant, and the other guy, and that other one too. No way would any of those happen for real, just occasionally in my head for fun. :)
My boss. We both are with other people. He's married. I'm not bit in LTR and would never but the sexual tension with him between us is so intense other people comment. It makes work better.
I had a crush On Eric Clapton Since 15 (now 50), despite his receding chin. Read his autobiography, what a dick. Still love his music, but still a dick. He treats women like trash.
Cher. Only first name, of course. Went to Vegas in 1989 to see her at the Mirage, but she was a no-show - flu or some other excuse. Anywho, I still remember the feeling of having a celebrity crush. Oh, and that Vegas trip, I decided to go to Ceasars Palace and saw Diana Ross.
No celebrity crushes.....maybe Jeremy Irons in his youth. I loved Richard Chamberlain - Thorn Birds - anyone? I later met RC in a professional capacity, though I appreciated him arms distance with me, he was one of the more difficult famous persons I've worked with. Granted if I were a man, he may have responded different. My aunt knows his family, and thinks RC is bees knees - she's gay, so she loves him even more for being openly gay.
Oh God Kimba, Thorn Birds? I was preggo and went into labor the night of the finale. Damn! I was so waiting for the climax. Instead I had a 12 lb. son. Funny, never saw the ending! But a beautiful baby!
I'm a Cumberbunny (it's better than saying Cumberbitch). Don't judge.
I have a big crush on my husband aka Mr. Pugster. We've only been married for a year and a half. I hope I still feel that way in 10 or 20 years. He treats me like a princess and I don't mean monetarily. Guys: take note.
You should never stop crushing. Chris Hemsworth is my current celeb crush. That man is fine. Sadly there is no one in my reality that turns my head. I think I have to get out a little more.
Jim Harbaugh for taking my 49ers to the NFC championship three years in a row AND pulling them out of the football basement. I loved him when he was at Stanford too.
One Eye fo sho'
ReplyDeleteHeeeyyyy Kristin .-)
DeleteIsn't it called "stalking" when you reach 18?
ReplyDeleteEvil, I don't believe it's considered stalking if you love the person. Or is that just my interpretation?
DeleteGeorge Michael ... hey, don't judge - in '85 he was a hot little stud muffin
ReplyDeleteYep, as you reach your twilight years you don't crush so much as hope to surround yourself with people with warm hearts who'll take care of you when you fall down the stairs

ReplyDeleteI have a secret crush so you cant know becuz just maybe I dont want it revealed on the Interwebs.
ReplyDeleteIn kindergarten. His name was Gordon and he had red hair. I showed him my affection by knocking him down on the playground and kissing him! On the mouth! I was a saucy little minx!
ReplyDeleteI still crush and will til the end. :)
Earl.
ReplyDeleteI haven't reached the age where sexy men don't make me feel giddy. Wouldn't that point in a gals life b called lesbianism?
J/k
I read this as first crush. His name Is Earl. Celebrity crushes aside I cannot leave my real life crushes name here.
Delete;^)
Word fancy. I'll crush til I die but only the special get my attention.
DeleteI hope I never reach the past-crush age, having a crush is awesome
ReplyDeleteIt is!! It gives you all those feels from way back when ( now that I've been with Mr Violet for a considerable number of years it's good to let the heart flutter a little - not that I'd tell Mr Violet that).
DeleteRight, Violet?
DeleteLangdon Alger
ReplyDeleteNobody does. He's very quiet and he read a lot.
DeleteYay Bitchy gets me!
DeleteMy newest celeb crush is benedict cumberbatch.
ReplyDeleteNo crushes for me, unless you count Hollywood stars or athletes. I'm happily married and glad not to be looking.
ReplyDeleteIm crushing on Jeremy Renner-well, his charactor in the Bourne Legacy. And hope im never too old to have crushes! It has nothing to do with being happily married;crushes in make believe world.
ReplyDeleteI fall in and out of love every week.. usually with myself. So too many to name lol..
ReplyDeleteTotally joking.....
Maybe :)
My current crush is Felicity (Jones). Not too many other Felicity film stars. First name pretty much gives away the rest.
ReplyDeleteI expect to be on my last crush the day I die.
I'm fifty-two, and never really stopped thinking of myself as 16, so the crush that everybody who pays attention to my comments here already judges me for doesn't seem as creepy to me as it does to them.
ReplyDeleteSo what you're saying, JAS, is that you like older women?
Delete@ TTM I think he's saying he has a much, much, much, much younger crush.
DeleteLOL, I know, I even know who! I just think that is also usually listed as the psychological explanation in a lot of those court cases
DeleteI don't mind saying. Marcela Valladolid. Paul Hollywood be damned.
ReplyDeleteI have two. A celeb crush on a A list TV actress on a long running crime show. The other is on my best friend of 28 years. I've been crushing on her from HS to today. But she's married and she's happy. Her happiness matters more than mine.
ReplyDeleteOh that's sort of sad but sweet.
DeleteAdult crushes ≠ stalking... sheesh.
ReplyDeleteNo RL crushes, just a deep and abiding swoon over Le Firth. Maybe a bit on Daniel Craig. And Cumberbatch.
To this day... Coach Adamson.
ReplyDelete6'5" of bearded Nordic perfection.
(Well, he was in 1977 anyway)
William and Mike.
ReplyDeleteI am 43, and I am crushing HARD on these two men! Sigh.
I don't have one currently, but a few years ago I was crushing on one of me neighbors. ReplyDeleteDolph
ReplyDeleteI Will always crush.
ReplyDeleteDonnie. As in Wahlberg. 35 years old next week and still loving him forever.

ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet tribute.
DeleteActually...first celeb crush.
ReplyDeleteC. Thomas Howell. I was going to marry him. I kissed his poster every night before bed.
As I've gotten older...I don't have celeb or real life crushes on anyone.
Still in lust mode with my husband, there's no desire/need to crush. That doesn't mean I don't occasionally fantasize a quickie with other men. On occasion. :)

Every now and then someone famous comes along but for the most part I only really have eyes for Mr. Nom.
ReplyDeleteOh, and it's currently Richard Armitage.
Shhh! I don't care if you *think/know* that he's gay. I'll never meet him so it really doesn't matter.
jesus. I dont have a crush on anyone I have a shot at. How sad :(
ReplyDeletekelly...what a man *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI thought it said name of your first crush, which was River Phoenix.
ReplyDeleteI don't have crushes necessarily nowadays, it's more like an "Oh the things I would do to you" list.
don't know about my first crush, my first boyfriend was Jamie in kindergarten, we were always kissing. I remember having a crush on Robby Rosa from Menudo. Never too old for crushes.
ReplyDeletemsgirl, yes book characters count, some of those writers make fake men so real.
ReplyDeleteIt says first name of person you have a crush on.
ReplyDeleteFantasy world, Colin Firth, Matt Damon, Jim Caveziel.

My first crush was Speed Racer. I didn't understand at that time the difference between people and cartoons. (Okay, so I still don't! ROFL!)
ReplyDeleteI was more intrigued by Racer X, his secret brother.
DeleteFantasy world: back in the day it was David Duchovny from the X-Files days, for sure. Now, I can't really think of anyone.

Count....
ReplyDeleteAw, CeeJay, that is sweet. I'm sure you are married or 1000s of miles from NJ, so this crush cant be consumated, but e-hug to you anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy boss. We both are with other people. He's married. I'm not bit in LTR and would never but the sexual tension with him between us is so intense other people comment. It makes work better.
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, I don't think one ever stops crushing. I haven't. Of course, it helps if there is someone around that's crushable. Not around here.
ReplyDeleteMy crush is Mark. Never stop crushing.
ReplyDeleteCrush-es for me....
ReplyDeleteScarlett
Carice
Carla
Mylene
Sophie
Camilla
What can I say. I love women.
I still get crushes all the time. I hope it never stops!
