If only Burn Notice was as exciting as Seth Peterson's marriage. No, it is a good show but what is going on in Seth Peterson's marriage is television worthy. At least a made for tv movie worthy. I definitely see Shannen Doherty in it as Seth's wife. Maybe if the budget is horrifically low you could drop that down to a Holly Marie Combs who provides great talent for value and then there is the nuclear option which is your Tara Reid or Tori Spelling. Seth's wife filed for divorce. Seth's wife is pregnant with their third child. Seth has a 22 year old girlfriend who is impressed he is on television. Seth does a lot of drugs. This all makes for a wonderful divorce scenario for gossip but doesn't really help the couple's kids or their future child. Seth's wife only wants him to have supervised visits with their kids which means she thinks he is still on drugs and a danger if left alone with them.
I like holly Marie combs better.

ReplyDeleteI predict that, once he realises what he's about to lose (or decides he wants to have his cake and eat it too), he'll check into "rehab" (I'm thinking some prissy 10-star Cliffside retreat), after which he'll claimed he's completely sober.

ReplyDeleteHe may have hidden his behavior. Actors are unusually excellent at, well... acting. They are trained in, applauded, and paid for pretending to be other people in front of the camera. If an actor lacks morals and character, all that pretending can make them skilled at and comfortable with lying in general.
DeleteOn top of that, his wife is a busy mom, and he was probably away "working long hours" a lot. I can totally see how he may have hidden his drugs and girlfriend. I'm glad she found out and is taking steps to protect her children.

ReplyDeleteJennabean's got it right. Holly Marie Combs is more attractive, more talented, and, by all accounts, much more enjoyable to work with than Shannen Doherty.
ReplyDeleteAlso, given that Doherty's been reduced to doing commercials for "The Education Connection," I suspect she's a considerable distance down-budget from Combs, as well.
Interestingly, Peterson's one of the most pleasant-to-interact-with actors/celebs on Twitter. He answers almost anybody who addresses him, he notices when individuals follow him, he's bothered when someone unfollows him, and never generally seems to feel that, as a celebrity, he's a step above non-famous people.

Thing is, he got written out of Burn Notice. That put him home more often even though he was more regular guest on the show, that paycheck was nice to look for. You can't drug AND support a mistress And a growing family, on not much income.
