    Camilla Alves also looks very pretty. Yellow is very tricky to wear, but she pulls it off well.

    Meryl is also wearing something that fits her current body, instead of the body she had in 1977. The glasses are also a good highlight for an aging face. Like Mirren, she has a good stylist who helps her work with what she has.

    Isla Fisher's gown is classic and cut well, although the color is a little boring.

    Mariah is still dressed as if it's 1995.

    She has become the 2014 equivalent of those ladies who wore 1960s-style hairspray helmet hair and frosted-pink lipstick well past the sell-by date for those styles.

    I had a French teacher like that in junior high school. We 14-year-olds were merciless to her.

    I think Streep had a bit of excellent work done. She looks refreshed but the same.

    I don't know what it is about Helen Mirren. She's not traditionally beautiful but she demands attention every time she shows up on the red carpet.

    @Candyland and @Orvilla, I agree that a makeover is necessary. Pam Anderson looks great with her pixie cut - new and interesting, instead of faded and haggard. Not sure that pixie is the way for Mariah to go, but she might look good in a shorter, more natural style.

    Not Emma Thompson's style, though. She looks like a sexless suburban soccer mom here. The flats don't help. It's a red carpet! Suck it up and put on heels for the 30 feet you have to walk for the paparazzi, and then change to your friggin' flats inside.

    @Nutty @Candyland The one shoulder mini dress? The hair all over to one side. She looks like she has a limp. I mean why not throw a parrot on her shoulder and put on an eye patch.

    She is cute. She should embrace her body like @msgirl said earlier.
    Dying her hair or cutting a couple of inches off could do wonders. Get a dress that works with her curves! I just don't get it.

    Who is letting her walk out of the house in that manner. Surely, Nick has some pull. Damn!

    Exactly, @Nutty! Mariah has worn essentially the same dress since about 1987. The difference is now all the spanx in Hollywood can't make it work.

    And her chubby legs are kinda cute, actually, if she'd dress them differently.

    i don't like alves's dress either. i would maybe like it in a different color but that shade of yellow is just ugly to me.

    edie's dress is awful. i'd like to see the assymetrical hem and see through dress trend END.

    Isla's dress looks like my nightie.

    Emilia's dress is borderline nightie, but I really like it - it's gorgeous on her.

    Camilla's dress looked far better on TV. Stunning lady.

    Meryl and Mariah need a good talking to ... Meryl, for wearing the same old sack each and every time; and Mariah for wearing too casual a dress ... and don't get me started on her hair.

    Count, I am about to treat a man like a piece of meat. Hubby & I got to watch these. Everyone was having a great time. Matthew Mc never really did anything for me before, but with him deciding to show how well he can act, oh my, he is really doing it for me at the moment. Loved his acceptance speech.
    Also, we still haven't had the following movies released here: Dallas Buyers Club, 12 Years a Slave, Wolf of Wall Street. Sucks!

    Emma with her flats was just speaking out for all the sisters who feel forced to wear these torture devices called high heeled shoes esp those six inch stilettos. Sure they look pretty oh but the havoc they wreak not only your feet but your posture.

    I thank god every day that Lady Diana came along when I was younger and made the flat and kitten heeled pumps fashionable options

    Helen Mirren looks amazing. Isla Fisher is hardly recognizable, I hope she leaves her face alone. Camilla is beautiful, but that dress is fug... Looks like curtains draped around her. Emma T....This is a red carpet, so put some real shoes on. Love Amelia Clarke's dress, but she could use some jewelry. Edie F looks great!

    Breslin is a dead ringer for Miranda Lambert and that’s NOT a compliment. Has everyone said that already? Sorry if I’m recycling observations, but I have to say something after seeing her strut around at a few events:

    Abagail, I’m going to hurt your feelings. Go away, girl. You are in that “in-between” stage right now. Your face is unrecognizable and your normal person body is too pale and doughy. What future roles are you hoping to get with that mall rat hair? Popcorn blockbusters? Art house flicks? You’re not a cute kid anymore and you are definitely NOT the Hollywood Hottie you’re pretending to be.

    Go away to college, grow up, grow into your new face and body, get your teeth straightened and get a stylist. In 4 years you’ll be what, 21? That’s prime time to get all used-up, exploited and strung-out in La-La land. You’ll be able to drink in public by then, which means plenty of opportunities for drunken crotch shots, wardrobe malfunctions and bar brawls with Hailee, Chloe and the Fannings. The Cracken will be dead, those Twihard/PPL/Vampire/HS Musical Twats will all be hooking in Vegas and JLaw will be taking time off to have a baby. CDANers will still be here waiting to snark on you.

    Where’s the fire? Don’t be in such a rush to crash & burn.

    I support Emma's choice of shoe but if she's going to wear flats she has to wear a dress long enough to cover them. Sorry, that's just the way it is. Terrible dress, regardless of length.

    Abigail - only 17. Awful dress made worse with the long hair hanging into the cleavage to make sure every notices she thinks she's hot. Sex-pot wannabe but too young to pull it off.
    Dress tastefully for another 2-3 years then decide what you want to show off. In the meantime, spend time at the gym so you'll get some muscle tone.
