Rose McGowan Hates Robert Rodriguez

When Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez destroyed his marriage Rose thought that at least they would make some movies together and she would have some kind of fame beyond Charmed and appearing half naked at an awards show. Rose is at Sundance debuting her directorial debut because behind the camera is where her future is. The only time she is on camera now is when her personal pap takes her photo and sends it out to the tabloids everyday. Anyway, at a Q&A for her film someone asked about the film Barbarella that Rose was going to make with Robert. She said they were going to make the movie in Germany but that he didn't know how to make any movies outside Texas. Yikes. of course left off said answer is that he does make movies and she is trying to sell one in Sundance.

  1. To be fair, Rose McGowan didn't destroy his marriage, he did. She broke the girl code, yes, but he was the married one.

I have no respect for Sundance, though.

Love it, so tired of hearing how it is an outside party that is responsible. She said no vows to either of them. It is time society stopped blaming the other person who owed no allegiance to anyone in reality, and start blaming the cheaters 99.9%. The terms like homewrecker crack me up.

    3. Women who deliberately go after married men? They're rancid creatures, to be sure, but men have this thing called a zipper they can use a defense.

  2. Meh. He's an overrated filmmaker.

  3. I remember when she thought she was the new "it" girl. It's tough pushing 40 in Hollyweird, and Robert is on to someone younger.

  4. @Henriette, you're so right. There's no tougher position to be in than 'aging ingenue.'

  5. Wasn't there a blind item about her, that she aborted Robert's baby?

He doesn't strike me as the filming abroad type either, Rose.

  8. I had lunch with Robert's ex-wife when I visited a SpyKids movie set way back when and she was amazing. Grounded and great with people and wonderful at running his whole organization. He really tossed a grenade into his life by breaking up that marriage. He would be nothing without her.

  9. @AJ - Sorry, but those that sleep with married men/women have the same alleycat morals as their paramours. Particularly when children are involved. McGowan was screwing Rodriguez because she thought he would jump start her sagging career.

  11. That guy is a real piece of work. He got into it with Tarantino in spectacular fashion at the Omni in Austin, years back. Tarantino told him to fuck himself and blasted out of there. I'm surprised he can still get projects sold.

  12. Debuting her debut...is that a joke?

  13. Some nice tidbits here! Women should never screw to get ahead. It isn't always a guarantee except for a reputation.

Sounds like Robert's wife has moved on and is doing better than him perhaps? Good for her.

I agree with everyone who holds the other woman accountable foe her part in the demise of a marriage. Just because u didn't exchange vows DOES NOT mean u were not at fault.

Has anyone noticed that when a man cheats his wife is supposed to suck it up cause.its assumed she did fulfill her wifely duties? But when a wife cheats I hear no backlash when a man punches the other man in the face for "corrupting" his wife.

It doesn't take much investigation to find out if your paramour is married. Who screws a guy and has never been to his house?

    ANSWER:A WHORE WHO DOESN'T CARE

SORRY, I just would never b that type of woman who puts my needs before a family/marriage.

    Rant over.....

  16. Barbarella never got made because the studio wanted a bigger name than Rose and Robert wouldn't move forward without her at the time. So he got no money to do it and the project soon after fell apart as their relationship did.

  17. Jesus H. Christ. Some of you guys either hate women (and yourselves), are about a hundred years old or live in such a warped and nasty morality play that I can't even imagine it.

The people who took the vows and made the promises are the ones who owe fidelity to their partners. Other people who knowingly or unknowingly get involved with them may not be the cream of the ethical crop but they are hardly the demon seed you're making them out to be.

I say this as a person who dated a married guy exactly ONE time when I was 19. When I found out he was married, that was the end of it. He went right out and found another girl because HE was a faithless bastard.

I don't go around blaming outsiders for problems in somebody's marriage or for married people who cheat. It's on THEM to uphold their vows and nobody else.

They are called that because that's what they set out to do. Own it, or do go there. But don't pretend everyone can't see the flea bites.

  21. It's funny and ironic that they broke-up over money. RR could not get financing for anything staring RM, which was the entire sum of their relationship. If she's bitter she doesn't understand her lack of box office draw and is a narcissistic idiot. RR is not Spielberg who could get a lover in roles.

  22. @ninotchka Dating someone who is married without knowing it is far different than starting an affair knowing your paramour has a partner and, worse, children. It does not matter if the non spouse hasn't taken vows. He/she is still an adulterer pursuant to the definition of the term.

I have been married a very long time, but I would never wish to marry someone who was willing to cheat on a spouse. It says a lot about their lack of character and cowardice.

  23. People fall in love & get married, fall in stupid & get married & sometimes they just settle & get married. Sometimes they stay together forever & sometimes they don't. You could be wandering thru life feeling like part of you is missing & sometimes be lucky enough to find it. Sometimes people marry the wrong person. If the partnership is good, it won't be broken. A happy home won't be wrecked.

I realize there are circumstances where spouses cheat just for the sake of getting some strange, but you cannot throw everyone into the same "homewrecker" box.

    Signed,
    Former Mistress, Next Mrs.
