ReplyDelete@FSP: I didn't, he was 94, too. I was getting my guesses from an Orlando Sentinel article on the oldest celebs and they didn't have him on the list.

Been listening to his music all morning. I love his banjo music, too. Saw Springsteen's Seeger Sessions concert and it was the best concert I have ever been to.

ReplyDeleteWe lost a national treasure and an icon today. A man who was always true to his beliefs and passions. One of my best memories of him is when he, The Boss and Pete's grandson sang "This Land Is Your Land" at the 2009 Obama Inaugural concert at the Lincoln Memorial. Watching it gives me chills. RIP, Pete. The world is a smaller place without you.
