Levi Johnston Ordered To Pay Past Due Child Support

Not only did Levi Johnston lose his bid to get 50/50 custody of his son with Bristol Palin, a judge in Alaska ordered Levi to pay his entire past due child support which currently totals almost $75K. Levi has a few weeks before going back to court and advising the judge how he intends to pay off the amount. Levi tried to get shared custody so his child support payments would be lowered. Apparently Levi told the judge that he doesn't have enough money to pay the past due support and is hoping for payments in the $200 a month range. At that rate it would take him most of his life just to pay off the past due amount. His attempts at getting a reality show have failed and what he should do is try and get a normal job and stop thinking of himself as a celebrity. His time has come and gone. Levi recently got married and has another child to also support. Great catch isn't he?

  1. Levi may be no prize, but the judge having been appointed by Bristol's mother should have been recused for conflict of interest.

  2. Anyone with ounce of common sense knows he doesnt have any money. It may as well be 75 million. And using custody to cut down support pymts? Super low. 200 a month is better than nothing. As for a job, what is he suited for? Im going with supermarket something.

  4. My favorite Levi Johnston quote:

"Johnston's manager stated he hoped to copy the rise of Sarah Palin from mayor of Wasilla to governor of Alaska, "creating a rural, Alaskan version of the Bush political dynasty."

@Jenny S - he was supposed to be in Playgirl but Sarah Palin shut that action down, so presumably he's not packing pistachios.

  5. The Palins are using their political connections to deny Levi ANY custody and screw him over. Saying that Levi's reason for wanting shared custody was to lower payments is just the way Enty's evil little mind thinks. Levi doesn't deserve to be cut out of his son's life just because Sarah Palin (and Enty) don't like him.

    1. Elan, lets be honest here. Levi has shown zero interest in this kid since day one. He isnt denied seeing him, just doesnt bother. Blame him, no one else.

    2. Elan, did not mean to impune your honesty at all, just an expression. I really dont know the real story here, so i will commence shutting up , lol

  7. Sarah Palin used to allow Levi to sleep over with Bristol while they were still in high school. Didn't he used to actually live there at some point?

  10. I have shared custody and it didn't get me a discount.

  11. auntliddy, I am being honest thank you very much. Before Levi and Bristol parted, they acted like a normal family, and he like a normal dad. Interpersonal problems with the Palins, particularly Sarah played a big part in subsequent behavior. They have been actively trying to distance him from their lives for awhile now.

  12. Way to defend a deadbeat dad @elan.....and claim he's justified because of Sarah's politics.

75K in back child support, as the child of a dedbeat dad myself, I think in tgis case, the judge should be brought up on charges for putting forth an amount he could never pay.

  14. Hey, he works a menial job and has another family to support. I'm not defending him as a deadbeat, I'm withholding judgement simply because you can't get blood from a stone.

And perhaps he's been withholding payments because they've been trying to withhold custody and it's the only card he had to play. We just don't know.

  15. Allowing teenagers to have unprotected sex under their own roof, what did they think was going to happen?

  16. @elan, if he had been withholding to force joint custody, he would have put the money aside so when this issue was brought up he would have cash to back him up. Reality? He got married and got himself in a better position to make joint custody reasonable.
I don't doubt Palin has made it hard but he was and is stupid if he thought they would back down.

  17. @Steampunk, I agree with you there. Levi may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but that's no reason to deny him any and all custody. He's not a drug addict, criminal, or anything else that would 'reasonably' justify that ruling. The Palin's have been hard on him and I don't doubt played a significant role in the judge's decisions.

  18. Oh, and I meant to add that the Palin's don't need the money, so making him responsible for the highest award possible while cutting him off from all custody was just plain spiteful on their part.

  19. But elan, all he had to do is go to court, prove income and ask for a resettlement. He didn't, instead he tried all this crazy crap to keep the fame and Lost the money he was paid for his blinds and tell alls.( which was the basis for the original verdict)
    So...idiot.

  20. lol, not the sharpest tool. I just have a problem with cutting a parent out of any child's life without a fundamentally good reason, and setting the legalities and legal maneuvering aside, there really isn't one here.

  21. @Freya, yes. He posed but they were PG even at their most risqué. None of the family jewels were on display.

  22. I am in NO WAY siding with Levi, but he is 23 or 24 and has been ordered to pay a fairly high amount of support, probably based on his 5 minutes of fame.
His kid is about 6 so he's been ordered to pay over 1k a month. If he HAS that kind of money that's fine, but it sounds to me like Sarah made sure he got the momma bear treatment

Exactly, This does a disservice to all the struggling custodial parents not getting theirs

  23. You never get let off the sum you already owe, they just lower payments going forward. That is why if you are paying child support and you lose your job you have to go right away to get the amount changed.

I see a move to Florida in Levi's future.

  24. If Bristol can't support her and Levi's child with all the money she earned from her appearances, plus her parent's ability to provide ample assistance to their grandchild, if she really *needs* that money from Levi to raise their child, then...maybe she should've given the kid up for adoption when it was born. Seeing as how she apparently can't afford to raise it herself.

Yes, non-custodial parents have to support their kids, too, but the income differential here is so great. Bristol could be a realist and agree to accept a smaller amount of past child support and a lowered payment going forward. The reality is, Levi simply hasn't got the cash, and hasn't got the smarts, talent, or connections to end up in a job where he could earn that kind of money.

Of course, this is just another case of bickering parents using their kid to hit back at each other. Levi should've paid support when he could have, and he didn't. Bristol should've faced reality and accepted a lower support payment, and she didn't. Working things out isn't as fun as fighting.

  27. @Olivia thanks!

    Here are some pertinent excerpts:

Yeah well this case is NOT closed.

I don't know who sent Radar Online and the National Enquirer this information but it is not correct.

According to Court View the 2009 case has been reopened and Judge Heath is no longer assigned to the case. The new judge is Kari Kristiansen. And SHE was appointed by Frank Murkowski.

...Levi works 35-45 hour weeks an electrician for the past two and a half years, and tries to see his son all the time.

Levi's story hasn't changed from day one.. its simply. "I want my son." There's nothing that boy has at his moms that he doesn't have here.

Levi does not owe $67,000 in child support. He just recently scraped up over 40,000 grand in deposited child support checks to her and Cssd contacted her and didn't like the fact that she lied, claiming shed never been paid. Levi has been paying 1200 a month to her for 5 months, not on top of that 40,000, and has paid a total of over 60,000 in lawyer fees since Tripp has been born. In what way would he only be doing all of this to reduce child support?

Judge Heath is not our judge anymore because were going back to the old case. The case is not closed at all and far from.

  28. Good on him for keeping all the canceled checks. The only broads you pay in cash are whores.

  29. Wait a minute...Judge Heath?! Are he and Sarah related? I'm serious; her maiden name is Heath.

  31. auntliddy, thanks for writing back and gotcha. Since I don't have a reason to fudge facts because I neither know Levi nor do I run a gossip site, being challenged just took me back a bit. What got me going was the combination of Enty's accusation that Levi's interest in Tripp is money motivated and Levi supposedly losing all custody when he's just not that bad of a guy. Had this story been true, what bothered me most was the thought of an innocent kid losing out on the companionship of his real father for no good reason.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Levi's a dumb punk but certainly no dumber or punkier than that Palin trash. Awful people.

The presumption in all custody cases should be equal custody shared between the two parents. If that's not the case then there had better be a damn good reason. Seeing that both Bristol and Levi are stupid, famewhoring snowbillies, I can't see any reason at all to choose one over the other.

If he's not paying child support - fuck him. If she's keeping the kid from him, fuck her. I hope the new judge sorts it out.

    ReplyDelete
  33. so his wife was on radar earlier today and set the record straight. He has paid 40,000 already of the 67,500. He pays i think she said 1600 a month and is totally up on those monthly payments. Bristol makes it really hard for him to see the kid.

He's a dick head but I see Bristol being the beyotch in this situation. Also, seems like there's a possibility that the judge is actually related to gramma palin, his name is heath.

She also mentioned that the case ISN"T closed, just the original filing. They have a new lawyer and are proceeding with getting the child support reduced. He's been constantly employed as an electrician for the last four years.

He's a douchebag who peaked in high school but I see Bristol being the beyotch in this situation. Also, seems like there's a possibility that the judge is actually related to gramma palin, his name is heath.
