Well, that didn't take long. Apparently Josh Lucas isn't as nice of a guy as everyone thought. Well, not everyone thought that. There are some women out there who had issues with certain behavioral issues. After 22 months of marriage Josh's wife filed for divorce. Considering they just had a child not that long ago and his wife had cervical cancer this would seem to be something that Josh precipitated. An affair? Loved different sports teams? Like I said above there are definitely reasons that Josh didn't get married until he was 40.

She was already dealing with cervical cancer when they started dating, so I highly doubt this had anything to do with the split.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe they just made a mistake. Just because she has a kid and has fought cancer doesn't mean she's desperate or wants to stay in a marriage that isn't working. Whatever the reason is…he's YUMMY!

ReplyDeleteGoogled and still don't know who he is. There are a lot of Joshs out there! Interesting story, though. She had stage one cervical cancer when she met him, he was the first person she told, they were married months after meeting, she got pregnant even though the doctors advised her to get a hysterectomy, now they're divorcing.
ReplyDeleteFWIW, waiting until 40 to get married isn't exactly something to be suspicious about. Some people just wait for the right person. In this case, it apparently wasn't the right person, but still, it doesn't mean they're gay or whatever "suspicious behaviour" people pin on those who wait (or never marry).
At least it lasted longer than 72 days!

ReplyDeleteI married when I was 24 for all the wrong reasons, knew it was wrong before getting married. I stayed 3 months - nobody's fault. Marriage isn't for everyone, certainly not for me.
Josh was in a great Australian film called Red Dog. Highly recommend it if you love dogs.
Waiting till your 40ish is perfectly fine; I took my time, did plenty of sampling, traveled, career, not into babies coming from my womb. My husband has the best "me" - I never wanted to be with anyone for 50 years, but 30 sure. I can now commit to that, but my 20s, noway, that's play time.

What's her having cancer got to do with staying married? Lol I had stage 1B cervical cancer when I was 24,had just given birth to my second child and was diagnosed 3 weeks after my wedding.I still would have divorced my husband if he was a douche.And I still would now even after he's seen me through all my treatments.And our third miracle baby I was told I'd never have.
