Delete@Tina: He wouldn't have to get sole custody to get support, he would just have to show a large difference in the lifestyle he can afford to provide compared to what she can afford. If he is worth $40mill and she is worth $400mill, a judge will give him support no matter where the kids are.
ReplyDeleteEx: My ex has custody of our kid. Say she marries a millionaire brain surgeon. I can go to court and get the support redone. The county would compare their combined incomes to my income and come up with a support amount, likely granting me support so I could provide a comparable environment for our child.
